This deck looked so cool, it was doing alright in the OCG. Then TCG Konami bumped the rarity of the entire deck because they were expecting the deck to do well, even though the deck was only doing ALRIGHT in the OCG. Wasn't going to burn money to build a neat looking deck.

Give Vanquish soul a continuous spell that searches a VS card on activation and lets you special summon a VS monster from your hand. This way mad love actually gets you to razen, and the spell also acts as an extender. The effect would look something like this Vanquish Soul Tag-Out (Continuous Spell) If this card is activated, you can add 1 Vanquish Soul card from your deck to hand. If you control a vanquish soul monster (Quick Effect): You can return one vanquish soul monster from your field to your hand, then special summon one vanquish soul monster with a different name from your hand to your field. Dr. Mad Love will be a Tier-A card if they have in-archetype ROTA. Maybe Field spell with VS name, and classic "add monster" effect. It would be funny if the field/cont. spell/trap also gains effect each time you reveal specific attributes.
You got me wishfullying thinking so I had a cool idea. What if the field spell WAS an attribute, while also tying all the attribute together. It's effect could be, on ignition, you call an attribute, then add a vanquish soul of a different attribute. The field spell can be substituted for the attribute you call, you of course just search the second attribute, and a helpful continuous effect can be applied to the third (like can't be responded to or extra normal or whatever). Give it some thematic name like "Vanquish Soul Rivalries," slap a picture of a 3-way battle and ship it.
You can summon her from deck with a very small Labrynth engine in deck ;) I play it mostly to make use of Arias as she can set snow devil from hand to be used that turn, any turn, so if I have Arias in hand, I dont need to search snow devil turn one, Then my opponent will play into it and its also protected from backrow removals. So instead I search the counter trap as a 1 of :)
Frankly, I don’t know why Mad love can’t search stake your soul. There is no reason for it to be unsearchable when cards like original sinful spoils exist in this game.
I think there are two things that instantly solve most of not all of vanquish souls problems. First, make stake your soul always be treated as a vanquish soul card so that mad love can search it. Second, give the spells and traps additional effects that state “you can reveal this card when set or in your hand with the effect of a vanquish soul card, treating it as an X attribute”.
We need Vanquish Soul Arena as a field spell. Stake your soul should have been searchable. Another starter and extender as the cherry on top and boom this deck could be awesome
There's 2 changes I'd make to the deck and it'd revolutionize how it was played. 1.) Stake Your Soul! is always Treated as a Vanquish Soul card. Now Madlove converts back into Razen giving the deck a proper 2nd normal summon on top of making it more resiliting to 1-for-1 interruption like ash Blossom instead of grabbing an Endboard S/T and praying they fold to Raigeki or Book of Moon. 2.) Just let Calamity Caesar be an Infernity Barrier. The deck already had enough ways to bypass Targeting effects on Turn 2 with the Tag monsters because you should already have at least 1 Tag monster in rotation by Turn 2 when going first. With it being a proper Omni it widens the types of interactions VS can use against the opponent giving the deck more flexibility and utility.
Extra : Would you believe me that the VS players (and arguably Nouvelles player too) are very salty at Vaalmonica and Centurion for getting their WAVE 3 SUPPORT!? (Vaalmonica is at wave 2 iirc but Centurion is at wave 3 i think?) That happened

I really love V.S. but this is video is sadly accurate. Waiting for a field spell (or new link 1) that let's you grab any V.S card or Stake your soul and allows you to use both effects of a monster one each per turn. Fighting games also have DLC and sequels, so they easily have an excuse to make more monsters to increase the card pool (pls Konami. We need more good in archetype earth monsters)
Pantera is fine and Valius is a non target pop theyre actually not too bad. Issue is other decks have more tools simply by virtue of print. Can I suggest some cards I use to keep mine going? Rokket Caliber and Rokket Quick Launch. They can bring Borger from a bricked hand, And they can be a tuner if desperately needed, but also they make Dempsey. Iv even run tearlaments with Vanquish Soul to a HUGE success (crazy i know) Just using Schieren, Mill cards, Use Madlove/ continue to summon a milled Razen or Borger or something 🤷♂️ They are, In my opinion supposed to work with other decks. As you said the “dlc” and extra content, like Yoshimitsu featuring in multiple games, means they can have others join th and they can feature in other “games” I agree though, Not being able to search Stake Your Soul was a huge mistake. The decks not powerful enough to suffer that very specific restriction
Pendulum twin fighters, charge character that does column stuff to get get more removal, multiple field spells, a Rank 2 upgrade or ritual monster for Rock of the Vanquisher that's a Reptile or Dinosaur, guest characters being called Vanquish Soul Sky Striker Raye or VS Feindsmith because fighting gamed go for deep pulls of random. That or just have VS sequel with new upgrades or patch notes for monsters.
I got it ppl, give this archetype a field spell that searches you a card that mentions vanquish soul and that lets you change attribute or even give attribute to spell/traps cards, that would make dr. Mad love worth and help with the attribute problem
Pendulum. Just give it pendulum twin fighters. The fact the fighting game deck doesn't have a field spell is weird but then That's 10 came out and don't need to worry about that now. Or just do Multiuniverse for the funny.
I would love a contact fusion that takes 1 material: Rock of the Vanquisher. What it does is Quick Effect copy Rock's effects during either turn, QE tribute itself to re-summon Rock from the GY, and slow effect tribute Rock to re-summon itself. It's constantly tagging in and out and lets you double up on Rock's effects every turn. Might not improve much but I think it would be cool
(This card is always treated as a Vanquish Soul card) That one line of text would've made Stake your Soul so much better. That aside, I've tried fitting other cards into the deck and the results are mixed at best. Revolution (& Assault and Jet) Syncron lets you make interesting synchro monsters, but if you're using Power Tool dragon, you brick more on the equip cards. Swordsoul Long Yuan can make Baron by discarding Jiao Long (and there's a combo with Blackout and Snow devil), but it's really dependent on the opening hand. Horus gives you another way to get to Razen, but it seemed to brick more often.
I think it's likely that they print a normal summon or a big guy that can tag out a VS on field to special summon a VS from deck of a different attribute.
Vanquish Soul has been my favourite deck ever since it released. I genuinely dont think its designed to play by itself. The typings and everything are too disadvantageous to any kind of direct playline. But they have zombie, Machines and Warriors fire dark earth. Wyrms too with Jialong. I think they are SUPPOSED to include different archtypes, Or rather Vanquish Soul could be used as an engine in other decks. I use them in Shiranuis for example, Pluton being a zombie fire is kinda nutty. “Heavy Rokket Vanquish Soul” Using Heavy Metal raiders, Borger, Rokket Caliber and Rokket Quick launch along with bystials and cracking dragon is my “favourite” version ot the deck iv come up with. Iv also played Vanquish Soul Libromancer, My second fave version. Labrynth Vanquish Soul is my current go to as they can literally summon Madlove from deck lol
You know what fucking deck is done dirty? Red-Eyes. Konami had NO IDEA what to do with it, despite it supporting the 3rd most popular duel monster in the first Yugioh anime. They fucked them over with Red-Eyes Fusion, which is WORSE than Shaddol Fusion, a card that came out in 2015!! There is also the cringe edgelord called Dragoon which is NOT A RED-EYES SUPPORT CARD, but just another dumb shit that helps Dark Magician.
I MUST begrudgingly agree that VS is 60% thematic and 40% functional, it's done dirty, if the reveal cost is VS monster regardless of attribute (because let's be fair you will probably use the same assist in a tag fighting game anyway) the it might be a bit better, AND STILL NOT BUSTED!!!!!! VS is designed to be more of a pure archetype, don't mix it with anything except kashtira. hell i ran Parallel Exceed as an extender
I think Konami basically gave up on WS archetypes as in OCG only one was decent while in TCG said only decent one was UR taxed like crazy. I think it at least had a stronger start than Mementos and Vaalmonica which became decent with support. For what I want from the deck •Level 4 earth monster that ss a VS from hand or GY on summon which would further resource generation and the fact you could dodge disruptions. For reveal effects maybe a GY banish or effect negate? •Rota continuous spell with an effect like "reveal 1 VS monster then add 1 VS with different type". So Maddlove has a better target along with being a 1.5 card assuming you have Maddlove and another VS in hand. Base it on character selections •In-theme snatch steal which also makes the stolen monster a VS not only is it just a generically good effect but it also you to either link then off for rock later or use Borger/Ceaser to non destruction remove it. Maybe a GY effect that lets you get monsters of the three attributes from GY or banishment back.
Considering how close VS is to being at least alright it annoys me that they didn't at least get a VS spell that is also a starter to make Mad Love another starter card. On the other hand Nouvelles have been off even worse and could still become a fun locals deck with just 2-3 more cards. Konami just has to actually want a deck to be good.
Imo, an Earth VS, that is also the treated as additionally the same attribute as other monsters on the field (To atleast enable their solo-reveal effects) could be very cool. Make him SS himself when there is a VS monster on the field as a quick effect. And also, create an on-field Contact-Fusion monster, that returns the Fusion Materials into the hand. "Oh, got ashed, well, atleast I can use my cards to do -this-!" Also, while this card is on the field, neither player can special summon monsters from the Extra-Deck. A true 1V1 feeling, potentially great against masquereena No on-summon effect, to trigger enemy effects. Bounce him back with Borgar or our "boss" monster, to remove that restriction anytime. Of "Save" him from an effect from the opponent, forcing you to, well, re-enable the enemies extra deck. He should NOT have a protection effect by himself, let the tag-in mechanics rescue him, or the trap/spells. Their reveal effects can be whichever, I was mostly thinking about what could be done without resulting in spamming the field too much, and I think a contact fusion would solve most of those issues.
In alot of fighting games there are characters or boss characters that copy other fighters movesets they could probably make a monster that substitutes an attribute or a field spell that changes the effects to reveal a vanquish soul monster

No highscales in the main deck mean you choke on beyond and pray that it is not negated or no pend summon for you, bevause every pendelum deck must get destroyed by one or two handtraps... the worst thing is that the deck is genuinely unique and has own pendelum bossmonster which are interactive instead of just negates, to bad appolusa and fossil dyna are the only way for the deck to put out ans meaningful interaction
Rock of the Vanquisher being a Link-1 that doesn't search a field spell in favor of being the archetypes field spell is funny to me. It even has the Duel Terminal/Arc V era thing of the archetypal "field spell" not sharing a name with it's archetype. At least you don't have to either draw into it or activate a generic field spell searcher/print a monster that can search the field spell like Romulus, a link-2 that searches the field spell (daring today, aren't we) I know not all Link-1s search field spells, but that's one of the more notorius effects they have due to all the memes about it
If there's an architectype that Konami actually fucks on purpose it's synchron they keeps printing out turners for the deck or search spells for turners and refuse to give the deck non tuner support with handraps a lot games have the deck bricking enough with the turners we have enough
The whole deck revolves around tradeing out names from fiend and hand and then re revial them. It was made to be loosely played and it a really balanced deck in a sea of broken decks
Libromancer field spell can quite literally search the exact attributes you need. They can also sneaky GY dump so you can use Continue to special summon it
I like the series. Can think of a few more decks that are just meh. Time Thief. (Only on effect per turn and once per turn.) Dinomist (what is it supposed to do? Pendulum mage is an upgrade in many ways.) Steelswarm. (The only started being a double summon. The link does not help.) Krawler. (The rule change. Links no longer float when returned to the extra deck.) F.A. (No way to recover spells. 1 quick play that can add it self back by reducing a level would help a lot.) Mythical beast. (Missing a end goal.) Predaplant. (Next to no payoff for counter or fast way to spread them.) Overall card design did got better. Barred to generic engies or boss monsters. I loath prometean princes or the beastial sychro. Recusion and negation should not be on the same card if it is generic. The only thing worse is a towers with a interuption. "Master piece".
VS runs into the problem of being a skill monster combined with the current environment. That's the saddest part to me; combined with not following up with the other half of the roster (Light with Wind & Water support) it leaves the archetype in a weird place. It would've made them a hyper adaptable monster so long as you knew what you were doing- the most appropriate curve in my book they could settle on.
What I'd like from some support - Quick-Play that swaps out a Vanquish Soul monster on the field for one with a different attribute from Deck or GY. Making Mad Love a consistent starter in the deck. (based on Counterpicking) - An Earth secondary boss that returns cards from GY to hand, with a secondary effect to summon VS Token monsters (based on puppet fighters). Make it a tag-out monster like Caeser and Borger.
kinda funny that nouvelles, a deck that also has basically no support, is wayy better off just because it is somewhat consistant. (and it is also an objectively better deck) XD
Vaquish soul was far more competitively successful than nouvelles, hell in MD VS was tier 1 deck for a while seeing good tournament success and it saw good tournament in the TCG/OCG for a bit, i love both of those decks but nouvelles was never as successful and it'll never be due to suffering from many issues that plague rituals beyond the handtraps just existing in of themselves.
Only 1 fighting stage. And its not even a VS. Deck is great in fun but theres like only 1 good normal summon. I love how they struggle to go into extra deck summons asside rock. Its usually better to just keep maindeck monsters instead. (a great thing! )
Give fiendsmith VS another look. It could be copium cuz fiendsmith makes everything better, but I have found some good stuff. You can do the same play Snake eyes does and summon back Razen with princess and still have your normal summon in tact. Giving VS negates has been insane too on top of all our interrupts
This is what annoys me with Infernoids. We have some strong cards that work well with other archetypes and are really only held back by one thing - the summoning requirements - that require you to banish Noids in order to summon. You imagine how annoyed I am that a deck like Kashtira has cards that summon for free and do similar but better. It's really frustrating.

When i first started off watching the video i was like what is this guy talking about... then nats flash before my eyes and i remember a little bit and i was like well at least he is not completely right... then the open flashes before my eyes... the sheer terror... i dont know what it is with this deck, i know it sucks and cant compete in the meta and yet... i cannot drop it...
Mad Love was done dirty being turned into a UR when it wasn't necessary in the slightest. Maybe if stake your soul was acknowledged as a vanquished soul card it would be different but no, this just makes the archetype unnecessarily costly. Caesar would've been great if he could do anything to show he was a Boss of a fighting game like the buffed up cheatsy predecessors of fighter games past, be it that he can use both abilities the same turn or same chain or that he uses two abilities when you use one "combo", first would be great if he was indestructible for that turn on top of unaffected by opponent's activated effects or that he destroys 2 other cards on field to make him more desirable. As for the last card, it at best, is going to be a triple attribute monster (meaning it acts as 1 of the 3 while in hand), but at worst, it doesn't get made or becomes a fire or dark which is already abundant. (personally, I think the slime should've been this but too late)
Bruh, I just had a miraculous Win against a Numeron Network player in Master Duel! I DPed the Field Spell, Borger burned and Snow Devil bursted trhough a Raigeki! Then stsrted my next turn with Pantera and they Surrendered XD Baobaboon Marmiting & Marauding Captain Flare Resonator & the new Cuckoo Gotta get the VS to my Hand SOMEHOW I'm Generating full VS playsets when the new booster drops! XD
imagine if they print more support, and it's like the DLC season pass in a fighting game, Except....... it's the other 3 Attributes instead. And then the deck becomes a complicated mess. (seriously just give this deck proper support.....)
Can i recommend a super heavy engine. 3 wakausi 3 motorbike and 1 benkei and 1 gai boaster and the the rank 4 battle boxer Bike searchs wakausi, scale wakaushi Effect summon itself scale benkei add gai boaster and summon boaster All earths and two level 4's
idk, maybe i'm too vs pilled having played it since tcg release, but even though the deck sucks it can do anything it needs to if it finds razen, it doesn't need quick synchros or equips, it just needs a custom ass card that lets you get to razen as a 1 card combo, it could be a circular with situational reveal effects that sends a guy from deck as cost to special itself and locks you into main deck vs/tcboos you for the turn or it could be a link 1 that quick effects tributes itself to summon from deck or gy
Also Snow devil is NOT a one of. I can prove it with any mirror match. VS against VS. I’m running 2 snows and I guarantee that will come up and win the game. Snow devil doesn’t need its full effect. You can just use it to recover in a desperate situation
It's a one off. It bricks super hard if you don't draw good attributes. You need consistency above EVERYTHING in this deck, it needs the engine to get online before snow devil even becomes remotely useful.
Red-eyes is bad because konami are cowards. No reason most the cards should have the drawbacks or draw backs that they do. Retro shouldnt have to tribute itself for an extra normal, fusion shouldnt of turn locked when better fusion spells existed already, baby shouldnt of been a goddamn BATTLE FLOATER IN 2016-17. Not to mention their fear to give us a searcher for cards that mention red-eyes as no matter what that's either a dlink starter grabber or a consistent FTK enabler VS however is bad mostly because it needs its next wave to help its consistency and end boards as it basically lives and dies if you open razen/a way to razen
The deck had no potential. Just the fact that you have to reveal atributes in your hand should have been enough. Konami tried this mechanic with the Ice Barriers then just abandoned it and gave them new cards. Priestess of Prophecy required to reveal 3 spellbook spells to be summoned, the deck had godly amount of searchers, and the players still cut her out after a while.
I've taken VS to master rank, and NEVER used mad loves first effect 😭😭 Edit: Only ever played snow devil due to the bricking on spell/trap problem, literally bricked on the spells 90% of my games I had them in 🥲

I would love a contact fusion that takes 1 material: Rock of the Vanquisher. What it does is Quick Effect copy Rock's effects during either turn, QE tribute itself to re-summon Rock from the GY, and slow effect tribute Rock to re-summon itself. It's constantly tagging in and out and lets you double up on Rock's effects every turn. Might not improve much but I think it would be cool

That aside, I've tried fitting other cards into the deck and the results are mixed at best. Revolution (& Assault and Jet) Syncron lets you make interesting synchro monsters, but if you're using Power Tool dragon, you brick more on the equip cards. Swordsoul Long Yuan can make Baron by discarding Jiao Long (and there's a combo with Blackout and Snow devil), but it's really dependent on the opening hand. Horus gives you another way to get to Razen, but it seemed to brick more often.

I think it's likely that they print a normal summon or a big guy that can tag out a VS on field to special summon a VS from deck of a different attribute.
Vanquish Soul has been my favourite deck ever since it released. I genuinely dont think its designed to play by itself.
The typings and everything are too disadvantageous to any kind of direct playline. But they have zombie, Machines and Warriors fire dark earth. Wyrms too with Jialong. I think they are SUPPOSED to include different archtypes, Or rather Vanquish Soul could be used as an engine in other decks.
I use them in Shiranuis for example, Pluton being a zombie fire is kinda nutty.

Iv also played Vanquish Soul Libromancer, My second fave version.

You know what fucking deck is done dirty? Red-Eyes. Konami had NO IDEA what to do with it, despite it supporting the 3rd most popular duel monster in the first Yugioh anime. They fucked them over with Red-Eyes Fusion, which is WORSE than Shaddol Fusion, a card that came out in 2015!! There is also the cringe edgelord called Dragoon which is NOT A RED-EYES SUPPORT CARD, but just another dumb shit that helps Dark Magician.
I MUST begrudgingly agree that VS is 60% thematic and 40% functional, it's done dirty, if the reveal cost is VS monster regardless of attribute (because let's be fair you will probably use the same assist in a tag fighting game anyway) the it might be a bit better, AND STILL NOT BUSTED!!!!!!
VS is designed to be more of a pure archetype, don't mix it with anything except kashtira. hell i ran Parallel Exceed as an extender
I think Konami basically gave up on WS archetypes as in OCG only one was decent while in TCG said only decent one was UR taxed like crazy. I think it at least had a stronger start than Mementos and Vaalmonica which became decent with support. For what I want from the deck
•Level 4 earth monster that ss a VS from hand or GY on summon which would further resource generation and the fact you could dodge disruptions. For reveal effects maybe a GY banish or effect negate?
•Rota continuous spell with an effect like "reveal 1 VS monster then add 1 VS with different type". So Maddlove has a better target along with being a 1.5 card assuming you have Maddlove and another VS in hand. Base it on character selections
•In-theme snatch steal which also makes the stolen monster a VS not only is it just a generically good effect but it also you to either link then off for rock later or use Borger/Ceaser to non destruction remove it. Maybe a GY effect that lets you get monsters of the three attributes from GY or banishment back.
Considering how close VS is to being at least alright it annoys me that they didn't at least get a VS spell that is also a starter to make Mad Love another starter card. On the other hand Nouvelles have been off even worse and could still become a fun locals deck with just 2-3 more cards. Konami just has to actually want a deck to be good.
Imo, an Earth VS, that is also the treated as additionally the same attribute as other monsters on the field (To atleast enable their solo-reveal effects) could be very cool.
Make him SS himself when there is a VS monster on the field as a quick effect.
And also, create an on-field Contact-Fusion monster, that returns the Fusion Materials into the hand. "Oh, got ashed, well, atleast I can use my cards to do -this-!"
Also, while this card is on the field, neither player can special summon monsters from the Extra-Deck. A true 1V1 feeling, potentially great against masquereena No on-summon effect, to trigger enemy effects. Bounce him back with Borgar or our "boss" monster, to remove that restriction anytime. Of "Save" him from an effect from the opponent, forcing you to, well, re-enable the enemies extra deck. He should NOT have a protection effect by himself, let the tag-in mechanics rescue him, or the trap/spells.
Their reveal effects can be whichever, I was mostly thinking about what could be done without resulting in spamming the field too much, and I think a contact fusion would solve most of those issues.
In alot of fighting games there are characters or boss characters that copy other fighters movesets they could probably make a monster that substitutes an attribute or a field spell that changes the effects to reveal a vanquish soul monster
Thank you for the content. Another fit for the series would be vaylantz, at least in the tcg. No highscales in the main deck mean you choke on beyond and pray that it is not negated or no pend summon for you, bevause every pendelum deck must get destroyed by one or two handtraps... the worst thing is that the deck is genuinely unique and has own pendelum bossmonster which are interactive instead of just negates, to bad appolusa and fossil dyna are the only way for the deck to put out ans meaningful interaction
Rock of the Vanquisher being a Link-1 that doesn't search a field spell in favor of being the archetypes field spell is funny to me. It even has the Duel Terminal/Arc V era thing of the archetypal "field spell" not sharing a name with it's archetype. At least you don't have to either draw into it or activate a generic field spell searcher/print a monster that can search the field spell like Romulus, a link-2 that searches the field spell (daring today, aren't we)
I know not all Link-1s search field spells, but that's one of the more notorius effects they have due to all the memes about it

If there's an architectype that Konami actually fucks on purpose it's synchron they keeps printing out turners for the deck or search spells for turners and refuse to give the deck non tuner support with handraps a lot games have the deck bricking enough with the turners we have enough
The whole deck revolves around tradeing out names from fiend and hand and then re revial them. It was made to be loosely played and it a really balanced deck in a sea of broken decks

Libromancer field spell can quite literally search the exact attributes you need. They can also sneaky GY dump so you can use Continue to special summon it

Time Thief. (Only on effect per turn and once per turn.)
Dinomist (what is it supposed to do? Pendulum mage is an upgrade in many ways.)
Steelswarm. (The only started being a double summon. The link does not help.)
Krawler. (The rule change. Links no longer float when returned to the extra deck.)
F.A. (No way to recover spells. 1 quick play that can add it self back by reducing a level would help a lot.)
Mythical beast. (Missing a end goal.)
Predaplant. (Next to no payoff for counter or fast way to spread them.)
Overall card design did got better. Barred to generic engies or boss monsters. I loath prometean princes or the beastial sychro. Recusion and negation should not be on the same card if it is generic. The only thing worse is a towers with a interuption. "Master piece".
VS runs into the problem of being a skill monster combined with the current environment. That's the saddest part to me; combined with not following up with the other half of the roster (Light with Wind & Water support) it leaves the archetype in a weird place. It would've made them a hyper adaptable monster so long as you knew what you were doing- the most appropriate curve in my book they could settle on.
What I'd like from some support
- Quick-Play that swaps out a Vanquish Soul monster on the field for one with a different attribute from Deck or GY. Making Mad Love a consistent starter in the deck. (based on Counterpicking)
- An Earth secondary boss that returns cards from GY to hand, with a secondary effect to summon VS Token monsters (based on puppet fighters). Make it a tag-out monster like Caeser and Borger.
Please PLEASE do Ninjas next for this series. They got done dirty too.
kinda funny that nouvelles, a deck that also has basically no support, is wayy better off just because it is somewhat consistant. (and it is also an objectively better deck) XD
They also have access to ritual support, which is known for having some serious consistency pieces

Vaquish soul was far more competitively successful than nouvelles, hell in MD VS was tier 1 deck for a while seeing good tournament success and it saw good tournament in the TCG/OCG for a bit, i love both of those decks but nouvelles was never as successful and it'll never be due to suffering from many issues that plague rituals beyond the handtraps just existing in of themselves.

I love how they struggle to go into extra deck summons asside rock. Its usually better to just keep maindeck monsters instead. (a great thing! )
Give fiendsmith VS another look. It could be copium cuz fiendsmith makes everything better, but I have found some good stuff. You can do the same play Snake eyes does and summon back Razen with princess and still have your normal summon in tact. Giving VS negates has been insane too on top of all our interrupts

This is what annoys me with Infernoids. We have some strong cards that work well with other archetypes and are really only held back by one thing - the summoning requirements - that require you to banish Noids in order to summon.
You imagine how annoyed I am that a deck like Kashtira has cards that summon for free and do similar but better. It's really frustrating.

When i first started off watching the video i was like what is this guy talking about... then nats flash before my eyes and i remember a little bit and i was like well at least he is not completely right... then the open flashes before my eyes... the sheer terror... i dont know what it is with this deck, i know it sucks and cant compete in the meta and yet... i cannot drop it...
Mad Love was done dirty being turned into a UR when it wasn't necessary in the slightest. Maybe if stake your soul was acknowledged as a vanquished soul card it would be different but no, this just makes the archetype unnecessarily costly.
Caesar would've been great if he could do anything to show he was a Boss of a fighting game like the buffed up cheatsy predecessors of fighter games past, be it that he can use both abilities the same turn or same chain or that he uses two abilities when you use one "combo", first would be great if he was indestructible for that turn on top of unaffected by opponent's activated effects or that he destroys 2 other cards on field to make him more desirable.
As for the last card, it at best, is going to be a triple attribute monster (meaning it acts as 1 of the 3 while in hand), but at worst, it doesn't get made or becomes a fire or dark which is already abundant. (personally, I think the slime should've been this but too late)

idk, maybe i'm too vs pilled having played it since tcg release, but even though the deck sucks it can do anything it needs to if it finds razen, it doesn't need quick synchros or equips, it just needs a custom ass card that lets you get to razen as a 1 card combo, it could be a circular with situational reveal effects that sends a guy from deck as cost to special itself and locks you into main deck vs/tcboos you for the turn or it could be a link 1 that quick effects tributes itself to summon from deck or gy

Also Snow devil is NOT a one of. I can prove it with any mirror match. VS against VS. I’m running 2 snows and I guarantee that will come up and win the game. Snow devil doesn’t need its full effect. You can just use it to recover in a desperate situation
It's a one off. It bricks super hard if you don't draw good attributes. You need consistency above EVERYTHING in this deck, it needs the engine to get online before snow devil even becomes remotely useful.
Red-eyes is bad because konami are cowards. No reason most the cards should have the drawbacks or draw backs that they do.
Retro shouldnt have to tribute itself for an extra normal, fusion shouldnt of turn locked when better fusion spells existed already, baby shouldnt of been a goddamn BATTLE FLOATER IN 2016-17.
Not to mention their fear to give us a searcher for cards that mention red-eyes as no matter what that's either a dlink starter grabber or a consistent FTK enabler
VS however is bad mostly because it needs its next wave to help its consistency and end boards as it basically lives and dies if you open razen/a way to razen

The deck had no potential. Just the fact that you have to reveal atributes in your hand should have been enough. Konami tried this mechanic with the Ice Barriers then just abandoned it and gave them new cards. Priestess of Prophecy required to reveal 3 spellbook spells to be summoned, the deck had godly amount of searchers, and the players still cut her out after a while.

Only ever played snow devil due to the bricking on spell/trap problem, literally bricked on the spells 90% of my games I had them in 🥲
