My rear wheels are just under 26" inches diameter as well (17x10 67 Nova). I had been planning on going with 3.70s gears 5 speed with .68 OD. Based on your comment regarding the 308 gears, rear wheel diameter and engine rpm on the highway, I'm wondering if the 3.70s are a good choice. I don't plan on any 1000 mile road trips, so maybe the 3.70s are ok. Your thoughts...? BTW I am in the process of installing the TCI torque-arm and TCI custom front clip. :)

It all depends on what you want to cruise down the road at. Going off your information given you should be able to drive 67 mph @ 2200 RPM’s.

Watched the vid again. Surprised that you were able to fit a 295 tire. I'm wondering what the difference would be in tub shape/width between a 65 and 67. I tubbed my 67 over to the frame rails and thought that 285/40r17 was the widest I was going to get. I have roughly 3/4" clearance on both sides of the tire.

Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires. They measure 11.5 inches mounted on 17x10 rims. Nice looking.
