Caleb could and should have been 2-0 vs packers. How many games has he brought the team back to win the game, now? We just need a HC who commands the room. Tired of the team not hurrying when time is running out and all these penalties especially during critical times. At least we can say that Caleb owns the packers at Lambeau
Root for the Lions tonight so that creepy Kevin Warren can approach Ben Johnson and Ray Agnew for the HC and GM jobs during their bye week off! Rob the Lions blind! loll! Caleb was spot on in the final minute today and the final three plays couldn't have happened any more perfectly. I forgive D.J. Moore for fumbling and letting the packers back in the game but the way Caleb handled the final 50 seconds was awesome! Bear Down!!
The Bears ended the season just like they started. Special teams and defense. In both games, special teams gave you 7 points. 1st game defense gave you a pick 6. This game, the D, gave you the ball on the pack 20. After Caleb led us to a touchdown from the 20, the Bears had 14 points, and Caleb had 20 passing yards. The score was 14 to 3. The Bears defense then gives us the ball on our own 46. In 6 plays, we go 11 yards and punt. At a point when the game was 14 to 13, Packers turned the ball over on downs from that Caleb had 4 passes to the line of scrimmage and 4 running plays going 61 yards for a TD. At this point in the game all the announcers could talk about was the velocity of Caleb's passes. Yes Caleb has a strong arm, yes he is athletic. Yes it's always nice beating the Packers with or without Love in the game but reality is reality. Even as good as the Bears D played, if the Packers were trailing by 2 and had the ball with a minute left on the clock you would be scared shitless because you know how easily the ball can move down the field in these situations when teams play to not lose. Where was Caleb the rest of the game.
I in no way wish to have any of this coaching staff retained, with the exception of our secondary coach, but there were some nice coaching decisions made today. Kickoff return for a TD fooled even the cameraman and they executed a difficult clock at the end to pull off the win. Take note, Flus, that could have saved your job. So glad to send the Packer fans home disappointed and I hope they get crushed by the Eagles.
This was part Caleb especially the last drive, the incredible punt return TD, the O Line which kept GB at bay, the DL that slowed down the GB game, the D in general with many impactful plays and fight. It was a double win as the Pac lost Love and Watson at the exact moment they did not want to lose them. However, this win cost us positioning in the draft which might cost us later. Still Bears Nation has reason to cheer. I will hold off on the Caleb until I can see him improve his time to throw, his accuracy deep and his cut down on sacks - but I think he is the kind to put in the work and improve himself. Coach aside, it's up to him and the fire he displays at times will likely make it happen for him. Bears are overdue as a franchise built on parity to always lose out at the QB spot.
Caleb is not the problem, getting this team "right" is the problem and it is up to the Bears to solve it. Us true fans are here for it, now get it done!!! 🐻⬇️✌️✝️
To have achieved what he has done and some of the best bullets into tight spaces reflects highly on our future if we finally hit on a high caliber HC who also brings an excellent coaching staff. He looks like he understands his weaknesses and given what fire he has shown he very well could turn the corner. Not this year though you are correct.
I was and still am a Justin Fields fan & was in favor of keeping him and trading the #1 pick for a ton of picks. I am proud of Caleb and this team to end the season with a road win against their #1 Rival. They now have something positive to build on. I can't call him the Boy Wonder anymore. 😂⬇️
My Senior year in HS we had road wins against both Muskegon in OT and Traverse City at their Homecoming with Dan Majerle at QB, both we never beat ever before since 8th grade 😂
I wanted to trade the first pick, roll with JF1, continue to build through the draft, and push the QB decision down the road a year or two.. this year has proven we are still a ways away from competing. I think with Justin's ability to scramble and his growth we could have pushed GB for that wild card spot... but I will say, Caleb has shown multiple times this season as a rookie to be at the same level QB play-wise as Justin was last year (still needs a lot of work on his long ball accuracy). Still, his ability to 2-minute drive is better than Justin... by far. Of course, maybe that's not something the team trains on as time and time again this year has proven to be a disaster in that regard. I am so glad Caleb and the team now can head into the offseason with this victory and on a high note. FGB!
I agree with your overall assessment, and I'd like to add that this game was also a significant poke in the eye to the Packers. They lost at home to their arch rival right before the start of the playoffs, and both of their QBs got banged up. This is not the kind of mojo that any team wants prior to the start of the playoffs. Too bad, so sad. I also like the way karma swung back around to our side for a change - a field goal won the game in the final seconds to compensate for the miss earlier this season. Think of how close we were to beating the Packers TWICE this year! It was a disappointing season for us, but I'm optimistic for the future. Go Bears!

I was recently watching that wife swap tv show. The clean version guys... relax. The show made me think of why the Bears have sucked for so long now. It's the fans, yep i said it, the fans. See, the show makes it clear how things get done in another family. I really think a team swap would help bears fans. Nothing long term, but watching I mean following really following how good teams handle their business might shed some light on why this team hasn't been relevant in 25 yrs. Relevant teams don't worry about moral victories when they still need high draft choices, relevant teams don't draft wide receivers in the top ten when they need nearly a complete reworking of their offensive line. So as it sits now, the Bears pick 10th, with the two top left tackle prospects going 5 thru 10. Sure would have been nice to have the pick of the litter, but it's the bears. We beat GB, hooray. And most likely the team won't address the offensive line anyway, they will probably take another wide receiver or a cornerback in the first round. And next year the fans will blame Poles, and say Caleb sucks. Rinse and repeat. So yes, seeing how good teams do it, how they draft, how they build might help the fan base so they know better than cheer for moral victories. One step forward, two steps back.

Caleb still holds on to the ball too long, which means he can't read defenses. Also, he is somewhat responsible for all the miserable first half starts this season. Just in the Packers game, we led by 14-3 and we had -4 yards total. Can't count the number of times that happened this year. Plus, he can't throw long, because of his inaccuracy. The worst rating of any QB with throws over 10 yards. Yes, he had bad coaching, along with a bad offensive line, but we only won 5 games with him. However, I will agree that we should have won at least 3 more if Eberflus hadn't screwed up. I wil give him credit for his 4th. qtr. exploits. Do you think Justin Fields could bring us back in the 4th. qtr. like Caleb has done so many times this season. Another plus I like about him is that he didn't throw any of his teammates under the bus this season. He's a standup guy in that respect. So, what I'm saying is there might be hope for him, but I'm not convinced. I hope he proves me wrong.
Sure. They won in spite of the QB. I know it and you know it. Last week the defense held a team to 6 points at home and this turd couldn't even find a way to win. Real rookies were breaking records today and you are taking victory laps with this garbage? We all have eyes, so the fact you lie to yourself like this so publicly is astounding. 😂

Put down the pipe. Every NFL team has top talent and this kid engineered and game winning drive against a great defense.
@np1000 Keep coping. You can't see past your giant ego.
Lol!! Just say you hate Caleb and part of the Caleb Hater Cult!!
" We all have eyes"
Exactly! Yep you're here hating on a kid on a bad who has shown tons of talent. Some of you men are just pathetic. Just more proof that some men are bishes too.
