Doing this with a landcruiser. Bought a factory wheel to replace the nardi. But didn't realize the landcruiser is an older stock that has the brass ring while the newer wheel has the harness wired for the horn. So I poached the horn ring off the nardi but realized the ring is touching the metal of the wheel which grounds it right away so ill have to insulate it from the wheel and try again.
Good video! Finally I found a quick release steering video with a horn for an S30 chassis. I am also in the middle of doing this but was wondering if you have a parts list for this...???
What is the black hoop coming out of the side of the button for? When i try to install the button, this hoop touches the steering wheel/ boss kit and causes the horn to BEEP. Im not sure how to fix this - any idea?
Idk if you’re asking me a question or not… but the positive wire is not used anywhere in the steering wheel. The positive wire is ran from battery or accessory circuit directly to horn.
I really admit that it was not a simple question or something similar jajaj I appreciate your understanding …Only the positive wire goes directly to accessory when u connect the key
Can I get a “hell yeah brother” for the mullet?? 😄🤟
He'll yeah brother!!
This is exactly what I needed to know. I don't want a separate button for my horn either. Thanks !!!!
Nice work. Appreciated the wiring explanation!
THANK YOU!! I was so lost on how the horn works
You’re welcome. Glad it helped
Great explanation. Thank you! Love Your Mullet!!! 🤟🫡🤪😝💁♀️💖
Nice work man, thanks for the update.

Sorry I don’t ha. I’ve had that quick release for like 4 years now. Same with the steering wheel but both came from eBay 😂
Is the retainer clip needed? I noticed you didn’t have one installed on this video
Not sure what that is lol. Maybe it makes things easier?
@@StewartMotoring the metal piece you grounded to the copper part of the hub itself, could one just use electrical tape?
Awesome back to back vids
Where is that horn kit. I can not find the horn kit anywhere!

So is that black wire at 12:31 a posative or a negative wire ?
Negative
It was the negative ground to negative battery or negative to the horn wire!? When you use a positive wire directly to the steering wheel!?

If it was December and then January there in Illinois, it was those months everywhere else too.
“Deez nutz” 🤣🤣🤣
?
This video saved me 😂
Lol, good. Tough to think about without having like physically done it.
Yeah I got sent the wrong boss kit with out the horn wire so straight away from the start my mind was blown 😂
ok ok ok ... how does my wheel volume control 🎛️ buttons work ? 😢
I think, it’s the same idea, but three different lanes for each wire to glide against. But I could be wrong.
Never understood why people displayed their horn.
I shocked myself lol

Horrible video couldn’t see a thing
