It's magic!! This video was my introduction to Angelina. Of course, I went straight into the rabbit hole, watching one video after another. Often my brain would ache while watching her sing. My brain couldn't understand how such a voice could come from such a young girl. I had to go buy nice headphones and just listen without watching her and doing so made me appreciate her vocals that much more. Angelina has inspired me, along with many others, to make the world a better place. I, along with other angels, have been suggesting reactors encourage viewers to subscribe to her two TH-cam channels and to watch all her videos. Your soul is (among other things) where all your feelings and emotions are easily accessible to you. Most of us cannot easily access all of our emotions because of mental walls we have built. The walls protect us from feeling the pain associated with them. But that protection comes at a big price -- we are prevented from moving on and growing as much as we could in our lives. Our unresolved emotions can be a big burden -- emotional baggage that we are always toting around on our backs. I hope that helps.

This performance mixes several impressions: How is it possible?, How wonderful!!, Absurd!, Ridiculous!, Important performance..., Is it an Angel?... Another performance that makes us think about the impossible, improbable or what!? it's the song I WHO HAVE NOTHING, at the age of 6, which for me is a rite of passage from excellent to genius.
I've been listening to Angelina for 2 years and there's one thing I noticed in the comments the vast majority of the people commenting on Angelina are old guys I myself am 68 and listen to Angelina just about every night. I think the effect that she has on people is a combination of her background and charity her insane vocal quality and a cuteness Factor that's off the scale I don't know if this makes sense but I'm just saying !!!
Angelina makes people feel things so very deeply because she is an empath. She reaches your heart with her voice. It’s not just the technicality of her voice, it’s the way her style and her energy reaches right into your soul and draws out your emotions.
@GOTG: I've said this elsewhere (maybe even on one of your pages somewhere) Angelina (1) sings in a genre which within itself is very emotional -- no pretense. (2) Is the master of the "slow build up" in the "story" she tells with her singing. She's patient to a fault. (3) Is someone who draws your focus to her face -- she's always engaged and we just can't stop looking at her. (4) Despite her obvious confidence and control, she's someone whose very existence elicits our primordial need to protect her. (5) She can manipulate (in a good way) her voice so it hits every one of our body's chakra points (if you believe in that sort of thing). In this particular performance, there she is: Eyes closed, twisting gently back and forth like the little girl she is, and yet singing like a seasoned professional. Yeah..., huh.
Imagine that, 8 years old girl, going to school, doing homework, studying music and performing arts at the academy in an "after school program", help raising her little 3 years old sister, arranging songs, composing songs, sewing her stage clothes together with her grandma Mery, meeting friends. I'm here to tell you, it doesn't get any better over time. I've been following her for 6 years and if anything, the more I listen to her, the easier the tears are pulled. I first described the feeling as being that of a proud Grandpa, but that clearly isn't the reason now. I also use the excuse that I'm old, but good luck with you using that one. 😂 Her latest 2 Adele covers really seemed to bring the tears on, then her latest cover of My Funny Valentine, and now it seems to not matter what song it is, or how many times I've heard it. All I know is, recently there are very few times that I listen to anyone except her. Keep up the great reactions to Angelina, I'll be here listening, wiping the tears away. Oh!! Yes, I made that same comment some time ago, about having a game show where people were given headphones and asked to paint a verbal picture of the person (Angelina) singing the song. @@GOTGames I think this explains her ability....Angelina from the age of 3 fully understood her love of music. She LOVES music. She also knows how music affects herself and others. She related the lyrics to how they are sung to how they touch us emotionally at a very young age. Its at this point (when she was probably 5ish) that I give lots of credit to her grandma, mom and family as a whole for instilling positive beliefs and core values into her. At this point she has hermeeting with the middle eastern girl and starts getting into the studio. She has known what she wants since the age of 3 and het family has fostered it beautifully. WHY does she have the affect on us we get? Easy. Deep down, I believe everyone is good, or wants to be. Angelina has been raised wonderfully, has grown her ability wonderfully, has carried herself wonderfully. She has truly mastered her life to this point. She is sweet, kind, philanthropic, caring, beautiful and humble. She is what most people would like to be. We admire the hard work and dedication to her craft. We admire that she has already put in her 10,000 hours. We admire that she is self taught. We all recognize her sacrifice to humanity, and it is glorious.

She not only evokes the original song, but she sings with the emotions of an adult. The term Old Soul is tossed about; but, with her it is like she is channeling someone elses past soul. It's like this is not her first turn on this earth.
I've watched this over a hundred times, and it STILL gets me every single time..... Her very first cover video, of Whitney Houstin's cover of I Will Always Love You, is when she was 18 months old, with a microphone, clearly knowing how to use it, singing in English which is not her first language (at 18 months old I was saying mama and papa, in one language), singing in tune, on beat. So yes, buy the time of this video, she'd already been at it for 7 years.
Next, for tears, Always On My Mind with her sitting on a chair dedicating the song to her recently passed grandfather. And for me, the maximum tears of awe flow like a river every time I hear her young version of My Funny Valentine with her sitting on the couch pouring her heart out for us. Yes it is very spiritual, she has been gifted by God like no one has ever been to convey emotion in a song with a talent which is out of this world. Yes no one can teach this if they could, why are they not doing it themselves . Also why have they not taught some one else to do this at this young tender age ever.
First of all, the fact your brain can't figure out what is going on is something that all of us have experienced. My friend, her soulful tones originate deep within her and when she sings her voice transforms into pure love and our hearts cannot resist. Her love is now in your heart and it will never leave you. And, something else which might explain what is going on, she is not singing 'to you'. What !? Rather, she is singing FOR YOU. She makes a connection with each one of us and she wants us to be happy when we hear her sing (which includes tears of joy) and to feel the love in her heart. Will you eventually adjust emotionally to the way you react to her? Nope. Never happen! So, I guess you'll just have to continue to enjoy her and feel her presence in your heart like the rest of us (millions ?) around the world.

Feel exactly the same. Saw her live entirely by accident. Was at the O2 concert in London for Quincy Jones and she opened the show., singing the Frank Sinatra arrangement by Quincy Jones of Fly me to the moon. There is a youtube video of the rehearsal - worth watching. She's back in Norway in July - can't wait to see her.

AJ began singing at 18 months. Her grandmother was a jazz/blues fan and layed that genre of music for AJ. She fellin love with it very early on and has even arranged most if not all that she sings from age 8. What an incredible talent. Now in this year of 2022 she stands at 6 foot tall and still in her mid teens. She still performs publically barefoot. And I see that you know the backstory of her encounter with the homeless girl she met while she traveled with her family through Iran.

No worries my friend, it happens to all of us...I am in my 60's and she gets me all the time. This sweet little girl in the white dress, flowers in her hair delivers one the most if not the most profound performances of this song that will ever be done....at 8 years old mind you. We all wonder how this is possible but you just need to except the fact that this young girl has been given a remarkable gift and she shares this gift with all that listen to her.... it is so unfortunate and I have to give my sympathies to all those people that have not heard this music genius sing to them...so much their loss in their life. I did that to my dad, a fan of jazz hits but not necessarily talent shows. I brought the album from when she was 10 years old over to his house and I played her over the stereo and did not show him her picture. He had no idea. He just thought she was wonderful. Eventually, I admitted that she was young. Dad said, "You mean she's only 18?" I said, "No, not yet."

I was told by norwegian commenters, that shortly after this show, Angelina Jordan Astar of Oslo, was declared by the people, the government and the Royal Family of Norway, THE NATIONAL TREASURE OF NORWAY. There were no protests in the population. Everyone who worked with her first, felt honored, and than inspired and grew a stupendous amount of respect for her uncanny instinct for music. Grown musicians with decades of experience asked this little girl for advise (there is a video "Angelina Jordan corrects the orchestra"). The grapevine of musicians told all the other musicians, that Angelinas advise was ALLWAYS spot on. ANGELina has an extreme (natural/born with) ability to connect to the "soul" of the song, and emanate the field to us listeners. Anyone with connection to their heart will be affected. As a natural voice teacher, I feel or should I say listen for different things than classical taught voice teachers. I listen for the feeling/connection and the ability to emanate the sound. What ANGELina has cannot be taught, she just has it - naturally. She can train and sing, play and use her instrument, but the core of what she emanates, cannot be taught. (IMHO)

Your soul is (among other things) where all your feelings and emotions are easily accessible to you. Most of us cannot easily access all of our emotions because of mental walls we have built.
The walls protect us from feeling the pain associated with them. But that protection comes at a big price -- we are prevented from moving on and growing as much as we could in our lives.
Our unresolved emotions can be a big burden -- emotional baggage that we are always toting around on our backs.

Another performance that makes us think about the impossible, improbable or what!? it's the song I WHO HAVE NOTHING, at the age of 6, which for me is a rite of passage from excellent to genius.

I've been listening to Angelina for 2 years and there's one thing I noticed in the comments the vast majority of the people commenting on Angelina are old guys I myself am 68 and listen to Angelina just about every night. I think the effect that she has on people is a combination of her background and charity her insane vocal quality and a cuteness Factor that's off the scale I don't know if this makes sense but I'm just saying !!!

Angelina makes people feel things so very deeply because she is an empath. She reaches your heart with her voice. It’s not just the technicality of her voice, it’s the way her style and her energy reaches right into your soul and draws out your emotions.
@GOTG: I've said this elsewhere (maybe even on one of your pages somewhere) Angelina (1) sings in a genre which within itself is very emotional -- no pretense. (2) Is the master of the "slow build up" in the "story" she tells with her singing. She's patient to a fault. (3) Is someone who draws your focus to her face -- she's always engaged and we just can't stop looking at her. (4) Despite her obvious confidence and control, she's someone whose very existence elicits our primordial need to protect her. (5) She can manipulate (in a good way) her voice so it hits every one of our body's chakra points (if you believe in that sort of thing). In this particular performance, there she is: Eyes closed, twisting gently back and forth like the little girl she is, and yet singing like a seasoned professional. Yeah..., huh.

I'm here to tell you, it doesn't get any better over time. I've been following her for 6 years and if anything, the more I listen to her, the easier the tears are pulled. I first described the feeling as being that of a proud Grandpa, but that clearly isn't the reason now. I also use the excuse that I'm old, but good luck with you using that one. 😂 Her latest 2 Adele covers really seemed to bring the tears on, then her latest cover of My Funny Valentine, and now it seems to not matter what song it is, or how many times I've heard it. All I know is, recently there are very few times that I listen to anyone except her. Keep up the great reactions to Angelina, I'll be here listening, wiping the tears away. Oh!! Yes, I made that same comment some time ago, about having a game show where people were given headphones and asked to paint a verbal picture of the person (Angelina) singing the song. I'd be willing to bet you would have no winners.

@@GOTGames I think this explains her ability....Angelina from the age of 3 fully understood her love of music. She LOVES music. She also knows how music affects herself and others. She related the lyrics to how they are sung to how they touch us emotionally at a very young age. Its at this point (when she was probably 5ish) that I give lots of credit to her grandma, mom and family as a whole for instilling positive beliefs and core values into her. At this point she has hermeeting with the middle eastern girl and starts getting into the studio. She has known what she wants since the age of 3 and het family has fostered it beautifully. WHY does she have the affect on us we get? Easy. Deep down, I believe everyone is good, or wants to be. Angelina has been raised wonderfully, has grown her ability wonderfully, has carried herself wonderfully. She has truly mastered her life to this point. She is sweet, kind, philanthropic, caring, beautiful and humble. She is what most people would like to be. We admire the hard work and dedication to her craft. We admire that she has already put in her 10,000 hours. We admire that she is self taught. We all recognize her sacrifice to humanity, and it is glorious.

Yes it is very spiritual, she has been gifted by God like no one has ever been to convey emotion in a song with a talent which is out of this world. First of all, the fact your brain can't figure out what is going on is something that all of us have experienced.
My friend, her soulful tones originate deep within her and when she sings her voice transforms into pure love and our hearts cannot resist. Her love is now in your heart and it will never leave you.
And, something else which might explain what is going on, she is not singing 'to you'. What !? Rather, she is singing FOR YOU. She makes a connection with each one of us and she wants us to be happy when we hear her sing (which includes tears of joy) and to feel the love in her heart.
Will you eventually adjust emotionally to the way you react to her? Nope. Never happen!
So, I guess you'll just have to continue to enjoy her and feel her presence in your heart like the rest of us (millions ?) around the world.

Feel exactly the same. Saw her live entirely by accident. Was at the O2 concert in London for Quincy Jones and she opened the show., singing the Frank Sinatra arrangement by Quincy Jones of Fly me to the moon. There is a youtube video of the rehearsal - worth watching. She's back in Norway in July - can't wait to see her.

AJ began singing at 18 months. Her grandmother was a jazz/blues fan and layed that genre of music for AJ. She fellin love with it very early on and has even arranged most if not all that she sings from age 8. What an incredible talent. Now in this year of 2022 she stands at 6 foot tall and still in her mid teens. She still performs publically barefoot. And I see that you know the backstory of her encounter with the homeless girl she met while she traveled with her family through Iran.

No worries my friend, it happens to all of us...I am in my 60's and she gets me all the time. This sweet little girl in the white dress, flowers in her hair delivers one the most if not the most profound performances of this song that will ever be done....at 8 years old mind you. We all wonder how this is possible but you just need to except the fact that this young girl has been given a remarkable gift and she shares this gift with all that listen to her.... it is so unfortunate and I have to give my sympathies to all those people that have not heard this music genius sing to them...so much their loss in their life. I did that to my dad, a fan of jazz hits but not necessarily talent shows. I brought the album from when she was 10 years old over to his house and I played her over the stereo and did not show him her picture. He had no idea. He just thought she was wonderful. Eventually, I admitted that she was young. Dad said, "You mean she's only 18?" I said, "No, not yet."

I was told by norwegian commenters, that shortly after this show, Angelina Jordan Astar of Oslo, was declared by the people, the government and the Royal Family of Norway, THE NATIONAL TREASURE OF NORWAY. There were no protests in the population.
Everyone who worked with her first, felt honored, and than inspired and grew a stupendous amount of respect for her uncanny instinct for music. Grown musicians with decades of experience asked this little girl for advise (there is a video "Angelina Jordan corrects the orchestra"). The grapevine of musicians told all the other musicians, that Angelinas advise was ALLWAYS spot on. OK the last sentence I made up, but how do you explain that so many experienced musicians took her so very serious. Greetings to you and your wife from Germany.

You are also welcome to ask me. Angelina is bejond doubt an emphat and a person of high IQ. I got some trahing for that, until some of the aforementioned gents came to my rescue. I realy and seriously advise you to read her book. OK you will have tears in your eyes, but the text is from the diaries of a six year old genius, many grown people are not able to bild sentences and words like that. If I had one wish regarding this incredible young Lady, it would be to have the original singers of these songs come down from Heaven for one "special" live performance and hear/see this Angel perform "their" songs in a special concert. Angelina, steps up on stage, to the mic, and addresses each of her "faves of jazz"...Whitney, Ella, Billie, Elvis, Frank, Etta, Aretha & Cole. "This is just for you, with love and affection." What a story they all could take back to Heaven with them, knowing that tribute would be everlasting. Well, just a wish.

ANGELina has an extreme (natural/born with) ability to connect to the "soul" of the song, and emanate the field to us listeners.
Anyone with connection to their heart will be affected.
As a natural voice teacher, I feel or should I say listen for different things than classical taught voice teachers. I listen for the feeling/connection and the ability to emanate the sound.
What ANGELina has cannot be taught, she just has it - naturally. She can train and sing, play and use her instrument, but the core of what she emanates, cannot be taught. (IMHO)
