      Not only you my dear, though I'm Igbo and do not understand all the lyrics, yet I've always loved the song. Some of these artists make us know that we are all one and must love up, tribe never matters.

    • @yinkoos
      @yinkoos 10 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Ori Iya mi (My Mother's head, Yoruba's invoke their parents head when praying)
      Eleda mi O (my maker)
      Won fe ko b'ola mi ( they want to destroy the source of my wealth)
      won fe jami O ( they want to bring me down)
      and so on, Try and find the translation.

      Ma Kole Ma ra Ile, I will build a house and buy a land. ( he juxtaposed this because the lyrics need to flow. you buy a land obviously before you build a house)
      Ma lowo se ma ni moto (I will make money and buy a motor0 now he puts thing the right way round.
      Ma segun oso ma segun ota ( I will achieve victories over wizards and my enemies)
      Wa Sakolo de pota ( If that is what I heard him say" wa sakolo de pota2 means you will waste your time all the way to Pota (port Harcourt)

    I am African American and have never been to Africa before. Quand un morceau est bien chanté et bien produit, on n'a pas besoin de comprendre les paroles pour apprécier. C'est ça le pouvoir de la musique.
    It's not worth to understand lyrics to appreciate a song when it's well produced and sung. This is the power of music.

      its not adaption of Good luck the style people from GEJ, state where a different from those of us in Yoruba, this is a trend from our former gov Bola Tinubu

      Tinubu , made popular I can see you don't know much about whats going on. just so you know the way olamide is dressed is what men from the east and south east wear from special occasion . its usual long sleeve. lagosian have adopted the fashion and made it short sleeve.

    This is my best olamide song. I had just turned 13 when it came out. The reason its my best olamide song is because at the time it came out my life was at its peak (so far). We had moved into our knew house, my brother who had just gone to the uk to studies and my aunty and family came for that christmas holiday, my cousins also came for holiday, my dad gave us money to shop for things ourselves, i went to parties and a lot more. That was the best holiday ever and was to me the best part of my life so far. This song back then didnt mean anything but every event or place i hear it i get a nostalgic attack. It feels good to think about those good days but then it starts to hurt that their gone. Olamide!!! Your music is the true example of what people call music as universal. As a delta boy i dont understand Yoruba but you make it seem like i know the words. Keep producing hits mehn
