Can you do a magic modpack next? Great video 😃
Hobble otras ves el lo imposible mis respetos otra mod completando continúa con el buen trabajo.
Do Terrafirmacraft
Do create astral next
How to stop turning night:
1. Select the option "Open to LAN"
2. Enable cheats
3. type /gamerule DoDaylightCycle false
4. (Optional) type /time set noon
At the end of each episode you should show how long it took to beat each pack to show how much of a time investment each pack is
Great idea!
Pack completion speedruuuuun!
That’d be really cool, some of these packs look fun but I’m not sure I wanna dump more than 50 or so hours in one (besides GTNH, that’s the exception)
and a tier list
@@jerphf2096 If you want to play one of the one episode ones, I would say the easiest/shortest is Project Sacrifice. It took me about 60 hours to 100% and has a great discord community if you need help.
my bet is the uncomfortable amount of simple storage cables created a massive stacking amount of inventories which is only stable when loaded. either that or the massive chaos of your machines are too much data for the game to reload
Yes, I may have overdone things slightly:)
You could try to add some performance mods to reduce visual lag, but there may be some conflicts with mods
@@Hobble. Mekanism Transport pipes are extremly laggy, other transport mods are much better when it comes to lag Prevention, same with the see-through Thermal Expansion Pipes
@@Hobble.also crafting cards screw things up, they constantly request crafts which use a lot of resources.
Calling this laggy you clearly don't know about the ttigraas mod that thing literacy crashes every hour because of the memory leak whoever created the mod has not been able to fix it
For anyone else playing this, always chunk align immersive engineering multiblocks. They can corrupt your world if they are only partially loaded. This is probably the issue you had, Hobble. I learned it the hard way in divine journey 2, luckily I had aroma backups running so I didn't lose much. F3+G is a modded players best friend.
In most cases, chunk alignment is a waste of time, but yes, Immersive Engineering is an exception, since it's known to corrupt if partially unloaded
However, an alternative practice to get into is loading everything, it's just as safe, and it's a smarter choice, too
Ever had a partially loaded ae2 network? That is some of the laggiest bs in modded minecraft, so by loading your whole base, you're killiing 3 birds with one stone (Prevents corruption, prevents lag, and your base works constantly) as opposed to just corruption prevention
The MoreOverlays mod adds in a chunk boundary key which is F9.
@@GirixK In other words, chunk alignment is very important for a lot of mods... unless you just chunk-load everything, which you want to do anyway if you can afford it :)
Though I do remember there were issues even with chunk-loading in the past, where it depended on the order in which the chunks were loaded anyway.
The horses climb the tower at 9:50 because of how their pathfinding algorithm works. Look up "zero redstone blaze farm" to see an example of manipulating the pathfinding algorithm to herd mobs.
Basically, every few seconds each mob picks a random solid block (not air/glass/etc) somewhere in a large cube around them, and they move as close to that block as they can. Except, if there's a block above the random block they selected, they'll pathfind to the top block. That's how mob pathfinding works. Which leads to the unintended consequence that mobs will naturally move to higher ground over a long period of time. Because mobs are allowed to pick a solid block below another block, but they aren't allowed to pick an air block, there's a much higher chance for mobs to pathfind up a hill. Think about why. Picture the cube that surrounds a mob standing on a hill. They can pick lots of blocks to pathfind to underneath the hill, but there aren't many blocks they can select that would move them downhill, since most of those blocks are air blocks that can't be selected.
You can test this out by placing down a bunch of mobs near a hill, and speeding up the game. Most of them will pathfind towards the hill, and they'll tend to stay at the top.
My guess is that the tower is just the right height to push most of the ground blocks out of the range of the pathfinding. There's probably also some special combination of properties of the scaffold that's allowing mobs to reach the top of the tower. Something like being a solid block that's climbable. I don't think there's a vanilla solid block that's climbable. Although you could replicate the experiment using spiders, since they can climb any solid block. My guess is that if you put a bunch of spiders next to a short tower, they'd climb up the side and get stuck on the top of the tower, since there's no way down.
Thanks for letting me know! :)
there's no climbable vanilla SOLID block, but bamboo scaffolding is a FULL transparent block that can be climbed through
these videos are just the 100 days videos but like 1000% better. Plus you narrate them like a standard lets play video, which I like the style of more
The Crafting Core and Pedestal are generally used for Late Game Creative items, or late game replacements to similar blocks such as the Actually Additions Empowerer
Thank you! :)
Bro, is underated for putting this much time for such little reward. He needs more recognition!
It'd be nice if you streamed on another platform so you'd get more support
vouch for the streaming - you get more milage out of the same content, and the benefit of having live commentary and chat interactions that you can edit into the video to make it more entertaining/interesting
can't wait for the GT new horizons video
10 hour vid
@@impostercrafty7425 i cannot lie if he made the video only 100 hours i would be impressed
@@impostercrafty7425 it's a little longer than that my friend
@@impostercrafty7425 online 10 hours XD?
or nomifactory XD
Would be awesome if you could show playtime at the end of the video, to give a perspective on how long a pack actually is. Great job Hobble!
and a tier list too!
Also, if you can find Age of Engineering, I would love to see a full comprehensive playthrough!
Sev tech ages os also good tbh altough a bit older its basically gold
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANOTHER 100% MODPACK VIDEO
Would love to see you bring someone occasionally onto the modpacks. It would definitely help speed up the process and potentially add some nice interaction between you.
I would love to see GregTech NH in one episode lol
you would break the internet if you do that
Actually please don't. It's almost impossible to finish
We wouldn't see Hobble for years...
Maybe a tier per episode? Though that's still rather insane.
@@SerafKe dude, thats too much, maybe 3 episodes per tier?
Investing 5k hours towards one video is crazy
Ty for this format, awesome for knowing if a modpack is worth getting into!
Had to become a member because I am OBSESSED with these videos.
Do a nomifactory video!!!!! It shouldn't be longer than this one and it is a great pack with great progression system!
Love your videos! Keep up the good work :)
300 - 500 hours? yeah i think its more than this one
@@dddw. with his playstyle, that perfectly matches gregtech? p sure it'll be more like 200-300, which sounds like about the same as arcane engineering video
@@dddw. nomifactory isn't that long. You can scale resources very fast there, also early AE is incredible.
@@wumi2419 i havent beaten nomifactory yet
when someone asked about it on reddit the only answers were that it takes 300-500 hours (clearly above the real number) and another said that threefold took 150h (a veteran rebeating it would take way faster than someone who never played it before)
and the modpack from this video doesnt seem to take that long either
@@dddw. I agree with this, I'm currently going though my first playthrough of nomi, and subsequently my first GT pack and am only just at LuV after over 200 hours
"this format might not be the best way to grow a youtube channel" casually gains 4x subcribers. good vid.
addicted to this series bro, love watching this while im playing atm9 on my other monitor
i’m sure you’ve got plenty of packs already lined up, but a nice change of pace to the factory building and automating would be Prominence II, more of a combat rpg pack that’s still technically being developed rn :D
loved the vid btw, just binged the entire series, the amount of effort put into it is insanely admirable
This channel is everything I wanted from youtube
I had the most fun in this modpack when it was a skyblock world :)
I don’t remember becoming a channel member, but that’s a nice surprise!
for this mod you clearly should have used tiny machines if its in the pack. and if not, put that all in the end with chunk loaders. then bring everything over with ender chests.
if things are in another dimension it will not load thery're textures, reducing the lag by a lot
"oh dear" is the perfect response to discovering you have to do mekanism
nice work hobble, coming from someone who can't complete a single modpack i've started, your vidoes are awesome
This mod really does change the gameplay completely besides basic core pieces of minecraft
this dude is actually amazing he does sooo much for one video and knows he doesn’t even get that much views
you have convinced me to play thought techopolis was another run of the mill kitchen sink modpack but it seems wildly different thanks
Please play Divine Journey 2 next. It‘s one of the best there is.
44:35 The sequential fabricators from thermal would probably have worked better, considering they’re the same upgrades as other thermal machines, and they can also take in fluid. The downsides are that it bulk crafts in 8 and takes power
One of the best modded TH-camrs I've seen in a long time!
When Hobble Uploads, you know it's gonna be a good day.
I don’t actually care to leave a comment but I know it helps the algorithm and he deserves more attention
I love the long form content! A neat idea would be at the end of the video show a counter of the total amount of hours it took to complete the pack
3 minutes into the video, I already know it is going to be one of the best 🙌
maybe do nomifactory next
So hyped for this one! :D
I'm really happy to see you continue this series even over how self aware you are of how it isn't the best to grow a channel 😅. Nonetheless keep doing what you're doing man, it's always great content and a smile on my face when you upload!
Me and my friends are playing on a modded server and we decided to do the Hobble challange. Basicly, we use 3 billion bare-bone storage mods that can't be linked together instead of just using AE2
Haha it's nice to be known for something i guess!
Make a one-video playthrough of GTNH next. I dare you :3
Loved the video as always! You're simply insane for doing this lmao
I love this format
most underrated mc yter
For anyone who wants to play this pack, some advice from when I played it:
-JourneyMap waypoints are overpowered. You can place them anywhere in the same dimension you're in. I never used waypoints during my playthrough.
-Don't craft oil or soul sand. You can find oil wells naturally and use fluid miners to make an infinite supply, and soul sand and soul soil can be mined from those obsidian meteors, and you can find virtually infinite soul soil on the Moon.
Cannot wait for E2E, in my opinion hardest modpack (at least in time spent finishing it)
5:56: i always tell myself the same thing doing a automation based modpack 😂
16:14: i think it is much more resource consuming than a water wheel
22:42: the pain of changing every single one of them configuring them and upgrading them is alot
25:10: yea like they are slow but with upgrades they are much much more insane
25:53: for keeping the gameplay as painful as possible of course 😂(also you can make an augment for making coke with thermal)
I know people keep asking for Nomi/Greg but I wana see if it'd be possible to take on Divine Journy 2 (or at least a block of it) cause while it *is* running on an older version of Minecraft, I think it's quite fun getting to go through the journey (lol)
fair warning, there's a fair bit of micro-crafting for machine frames. You unlock AE2 right after immersive engineering though (thank god)
In the start you say you're trying to find the best pack on curseforge but at the end you don't actually rate it, it would be really cool if you had a tier list and at the end of every video you rank the pack you just finished.
That's a great idea, I'll try to include a Hobble rating at the end going forward :)
Commenting for the algorithm's sake!
The hardest part of these videos is making it fit in one video without making it too long.
Would you be interested in Create Astral? It’s a long tech pack with you guessed it: Create
Gregtech when?
NO.
I like this style of videos, it basically feels like watching a 100 days playthougth and a normal questing playthougth. keep it up, good luck. :)
i tried this pack for a little while but this might give me a reason to go back
Maybe an adventuring mod pack like vault hunters could be fun
You should give the modpack "Questing Mayhem" a try. It's a 1.7.10 modpack with 3 questbooks that requires a ton of automation and resource production
YES
I've been waiting for this
hype hype hype
Ten minute gang, let’s go!
Hell I wanted to look for a fun video and then this vid comes around!
Tbh while your logistics are decent visually it's shit functionally and lags the game even after redoing it with lategame stuff
Whenever you have drawers use them as contrasted logistics hub for import and export of items. It is the best logistical mod ever, reasons being:
>trims are cheapest pipes ever with 0 lag and instant transport
>controller slaves are both import and export bus at the same time, they just need external filtering, again they are instant
>a single controller can handle everything, so no junky system merges ever
>you can limit any production, unless you use inworld item drops (like dropping items from funnel to funnel in create, belt them instead to limit that one), reducing the lag from constantly running machinery
p.s. I love buildcraft's pipes cose they are OG and look cool, but if we talk efficiency and lag reduction - gotta use drawers
Great ideas! As a creator I try to balance asthetics with functionality, but I do admit I 100% of the time forget about drawer trim and how OP it can be for item transport. :)
Could you please do nomifactory one day? Your videos often help me whenever I get stuck on certain steps in a modpack and nomifactory is one of these modpacks I keep getting stuck on. Thanks for the awesome vids btw! Love the content and I really enjoy the idea of finding cool modpacks
Mate I love what you are doing here thank you this is a huge help.
ok now beat E2E
Keep doing these it tickles my brain
Idk about the pack, but usually, the pedestals and crafting core is kind of a library for packmakers to add ritual-like recipes (cough cough enchanting apparatus cough cough)
Gotta ask the hardcore modded players, what do you think are the biggest pros and cons of AE2 vs. RS? Especially in end game where auto crafting becomes a big part of packs like these.
10:00 -> It's because Minecraft mobs pathfinding prefers going up for some reason, so the horses are pathfinding to the top of the tree miner.
Also: Coal blocks (Charcoal and coke too) smelt 10x more items than just coal.
Thank you for making my day yet again ❤
For the threat wood, some auto crafter -like immersive's assembler-has function of fluid bucket recipe using internal tank's fluid.
Also, mechanisms fluid tank is use as auto bucket filling. Can control fill or enpty only and easy piping. With some bucket, it is much cheaper threat wood making.
This is what I was going to call out, it crafts like the normal crafting recipe!
You Should complete Divine Journey 2 😃
this channel is so good, some really good commentary and recomendations, nicely done Hob.
Wow a pesar de no hablar tu idioma, puedo notar ese buen carisma y ganas de hablar, lo cual lo hace mas entretenido para mi, buen video, asi que voy a seguir viendo xd
Gracias :)
i always look forward to these videos so much, it such a cool contcept to complete a pack in one video!
Hear me out... greg tech
Ill watch every video of this series and I think we all expect to see GregTech as the final boss :D
Thus mod looks cool as hell, Ive been wanting to try things like slimefun ill have to check this out
Can't wait for Hobble to eventually do GTNH in one video lol
This shall be fun to watch at 2 am
Leaving one for the algorithm cause u deserve it mate
Thank you :)
i would sugesst the Modpack : Feed the Factory next ^^
so excited for this one!!
I remember watching a video like a year ago about how for some reason passive mobs tend towards upward movement
I don't remember why but that's probably why horses were climbing your tree
The editing and production is just phenomenal! keep it up :)
Can't wait to watch you do GTNH in a single video. It mightbeat the TH-cam record for longest video!
an absolute beast who dedicates months for an amazing video like this
todays a good day when hobble uploads
I appreciate this content. Thank you
I'm really glad i found your channel this series is amazing keep up the good work !
Yeahbhh im sooo hypeddddd
I love getting off Hypixel SkyBlock to play some Hypixel SkyBlock 😂
10:00 if I remember correctly, mob ai is programmed to go as high as possible without going too far away, the tree absorber is a quick way to get 7ish blocks up
AllTheMods 9 would be almost impossible in a single episode. At least I think it would be...
Great content man!
With logsitics pipes you can use a Logistical Sorter (or something like that). It allows you to use round robin with those pipes.
I love your content, thank you for the video!
Hey Hobble i know this might be a bit late to suggest the next pack but i just found one that is in your range of difficult to not too difficult, such as GTNH, the modpack is called Chroma Endless 2. Has full creative items along with tons of custom items for 1.18.2 . The pack is very much well developed and still being worked on. I did see that the discord is mainly in french but i dont think that will affect your playthrough too hard.
good idea
completing ATM9 in one episode will be awesome
9:52 the elusive relative of the tree horses, the climbing horses, the climbing horses has the same natural instinct as the tree horses, get to somewhere high up and laugh at the people trying to get them, if someone where to hop onto their back, they shall fall down to show that they are above all
I love your videos keep up the good work
love out of germany
