    Good to see you.
I wanted to tell you something :)
A few years back I bought some hairclips off of you and they are still in use.
I had to stay at a psychiatry (no biggy) and as I got better I was able to do my hair.
One day during lunch, I had one of the button clips in my hair, a nice elderly man came up an asked grinning: "Is the button for keeping your thoughts together?" I cackled and nodded. He went on: "Well, then I should get myself one to!"
I like that memory a lot.
Thank you. Your impact on my life was very good ^^

Don't have a conch piercing but I do have a rook to helix piercing that gets angry when I've accidently slept on it. I do make some jewelry as one of my hobbies though. I would suggest trying to find a chain that has smaller links so that it can be "tighter" and there is also this type of stud findings with a loop on them I suggest to make the earring using that instead with a jump ring or two if the links are too small to put in the stud loop or back of earring. You could possibly find some old dangle jewelry that you might be able to repurpose into that or nearly any craft store should have those stud findings. (Just make sure you're getting good quality because I know sometimes the jump rings don't even really say the material they are made out of around here.)

Shirley here, glad your back. I had those pierced both ears more then 10 yrs ago and I never had a problem sleeping on them and they are both a ring.

Are they placed closer to the edge than mine? Because I can't even lay on the side if I have a ring in. 😳 And that's the same experience I've heard from others too. You are the first one I've heard say they can sleep on them.

I like it! I've been thinking of trying this on my conch too, because I love the look of a ring--but it does really piss off the piercing, haha

This is a bit how I'm able to sleep with my industrial piercing. My ears are rather scooped so it's bloody uncomfortable to sleep on a standard industrial bar and, like you, I don't fancy having to change the jewelry every day. Enter the chained "bar", which is simply two mini-barbells connected by a chain instead of the solid and straight one. You get the look of the industrial without the discomfort of sleeping on it. I loved seeing the conch version of this idea and it looks amazing.

That turned out really good! Thanks for the inspiration 😀
I did my conch maybe four years ago and it's been constantly bugging me and just didn't want to heal properly. The only way I could sleep on it at least somehow comfortable was if I had a short barbell in it but I could never have it out over the night or it would start closing up. A ring was out of the question as it immediately made the ear irritated for some reason even if it wasn't tight. I guess it was the curve of the ring that just didn't work for me? Anyway, a few months ago I learned that for some people there are piercing that just doesn't work. No one knows why and every other piercing might work perfectly except for one specific kind. It sucks but it is what it is. That made me make the decision of stop using my 1.6 mm jewelry and see what would happen. I can now go several days and sleep without any jewelry in and it doesn't close up completely. Ofc I can now only fit these normal "ear pins" that are like 0.8-1.0 mm but it's so worth it cause I can finally enjoy that piercing without discomfort or all the oozing that never quite stopped for four freaking years! It's a lovely piercing and I really didn't want to give up on it completely 😊
