    I’m with you on the names. As unrefined as the amps are refined. lol thank you for this lesson. Love you playing, approach and style.

    Found your lesson/channel for the first time. This was really helpful. Hit right at the level of my development. Right balance of context, theory and application. Really excellent.

    The most impactful guitar lesson I ever had when I was a teenager was doing a basic 12 bar blues with a great man who played guitar in the Hondels. It was a completely different discipline of guitar playing than what I knew, which was reading Metallica tabs and trying to play it. I’m still adsorbing those few lessons from that great man named Al Ferguson.

    Love the sound on off effect with the pickup switching. Remember Randy Rhoads doing that on his Les Paul. Would you feel ashamed to play an Epiphone Les Paul at a gig? I don’t mind Epiphones and they do the job in my opinion.

    27:20 yes I started with a lot more scale oriented playing. It took me pretty far, but chord tone thinking has made my playing much more interesting and connected.

    Hi Jeff,
    This is indeed the mistake I keep making myself. I’ll be playing to a track and I’m simply just thinking of the damn scale instead of the chord…
    Great points you’ve brought up and thank you.

    Hey jeff.. why dont u use soundslice tab player for ur courses ?

    • @JeffMcErlain
      @JeffMcErlain  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question, honestly it’s cost prohibitive on a monthly basis for the size of my business. In my platform you can loop, and change the speed as well, it does not align with the tab in realtime. As the teaching page grows (hopefully) I can consider it but at the moment it’s too expensive.

    I hope you will see John Cordy when you go to the UK, he just reviewed the Bloomfield plug in, you guys have a kinship with Keith 5 watt world.

    Hey jeff…killer stuff! Sorry to jump out of the weeds with a bunch of gear questions but a) whats the box on top of the two rock? B) whats the little blue box power supply looking thingy on top of the friedman? Not the pedal, the box with the AC cord…C) how are u monitoring yourself wo headphones or in ears? Thnx brother! Love the Tuttle

    • @JeffMcErlain
      @JeffMcErlain  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s a poorly lit Divided By 13 head on the two rock. The blue box on the Friedman is a strymon power supply powering the DelVerb in the FX loop of the Friedman. I’m monitoring through my studio monitors that are in front of me.

    • @jeremyversusjazz
      @jeremyversusjazz 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ ah
      Love the Del verb that’s on my board right now but question how are you not getting feedback how is your mic not picking up the monitors in the room I know that you’re recording and that’s what you’re editing into your TH-cam video the audio from the ox, I assume but if you’re monitoring it live, how is your vox mic not picking it up and creating echo??
