I think the problem why this format didn't last long was because people were getting tired of seeing repeat news broadcasts every 15 minutes until some new news came across the wire.

Rick OnTheDrums I think it they’re now more of a competitor to CBC News Network (Formerly CBC Newsworld) which is now CTV News Channel, I think somehow the CRTC didn’t put genre protection on News and Sports
