If I understand the first part of your question, Exegesis is critical because one needs to be able to walk through the context and draw out what the text is actually saying, and what the author intended to say. Thats proper for reading anything. Oddly though people get really weird with the bible and we run into ludicrous ideas by Eisegesis and reading into the text what one wants to see. It's important so we do not create false dogmas and bind them on people. It's not about what does the text means to me, but what does the text mean when it was written, and how do I apply that in my life, as I conform to scripture, not scripture conform to me. Having a false opinion of God can lead to a false Gospel, and a false gospel will not save. Not saying we have to have a perfect knowledge, because we won't, I just mean we need to be careful about reading our ideas into the text.
Paul chastised the Galatians with eternal consequences for just adding circumcision and law keeping to the Gospel, even though the law was of divine origin.
Galatians 1:6-10
I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you, and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you received, let him be accursed. For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.

Nothing is strange, exegesis is drawing out the truth , simply who's talking , who is he talking to, and who/what is he talking about, and in the bible you are going to run into slang of those days, figures of speech, hebraism. In short does a person know how to read...

Thank you Uncle Jimmy for giving us sound reason to not believe Reformed Theology, and to question, and criticize, and to refute and debunk, dubious beliefs that fail the scrutiny of all logic and reason by being contradictory, incoherent and inconsistent as Reformed Theology is from start to finish. You seem to be doing a lot gymnastics between Calvinistic content i see your comments (sometimes being insanely long) everywhere in so many videos all in the name of attacking “the Calvinistic God”. First of know that we’re all brothers here, as important as reformed theology is & the differences between all the views for the most part these are secondary issues where we’re trying to understand how soteriology works & things around it. To be seeing you put this much effort to attack it & do so with bitterness brother as an encouragement it’s not a healthy spiritual life to lead. I hope you have love for the brothers & sisters & are grounded in your local church to serve & be a tool of sanctification not to debate but fulfill the great commission so Christ may be glorified. Anyways say what you want as a response but I won’t argue back just wanted to communicate my thoughts.
All I see is resentment working in opposition to the Gospel just as Bar-Jesus in Acts 13.
If you claim to be a Christian, you ought to repent from such a prideful, contentious, unloving attitude towards brothers who love the Word of God so much they spend their lives studying it.
However, I highly suspect you have "reason and logic" and worldly philosophies by idols, above the Word of God in you heart, and that's why you are blind for the truth.
James 3 reads:

@@JohnQPublic11 To think that you would have, at least, accurately represented the doctrine you were refuting! You just showed that you only understand the caricature of what people say Calvinism is.
But no worries, I sincerely don't mind people having other views, but there's a barrage that I've noticed recently, and it's really becoming a concern where people actively seek out doctrines they disagree with, just to pass hate comments.
That's not healthy man! Nobody forced you to watch these videos, and you shouldn't especially come with a straw man, making false claims of our understanding, as though we are uncivilised fools.
Everyman surely follows a worldview for a reason and if you try changing that worldview with hate and disregard for their intellect then you are fighting a falling stream.
