Best Marvel V Capcom game, the music, the colors and SFX makes it the hypest fighting game i know. Everything is flashy about it while still not annoying to see and listen.
MvC1 still has the best presentation.
Mvc 2 have more content,but as a game,i like this one
@@zengram The 3D backgrounds look at lot more dull, no colorful backgrounds or things happening like the first one does with the holograms and a whole lot of things. And the character sprites don't look nice, they look like the game is using bilinear filtering (making character sprites blurry) instead of nearest neighbor which gives the crispy look of sprites. The Jazz music are nowhere near the same level of emotional hype, they're good tracks, but they're not adrenaline-filled at all.
Also more content, true but most characters are just trash. Like the shoto characters, they all suck, they look smaller than in street fighter games, they are all squishy, no powerful combos, it's all quantity, no quality, a portion of them are meme characters like Servbot and Roll, some are recycled with very few tweaks like bone Wolverine, the overall feel MvC2 gives is meh. It's superb gameplay is the only thing that saved it from being forgotten or infamous.
The first MvC looks a lot more like taken from a comic book, hence why MvC3 followed it with it's modern 3D adaptation. Even MvC3 looks and sounds better than 2 style-wise.

I was on staff for the anime convention in Hawaii called Kawaii Kon thus past weekend. There were a bunch of arcade cabinets that were donated to our video game room, one of which was an OG MvC cab.
I spent my young life playing lots of video games, most of which was in the arcade down the road from my house. Fighting games in said arcade was what I spent my allowance on for the most part. I also had a subscription to the gaming mags Tips&Tricks, and EGM (Electronic Gaming Monthly).
I remember feeling really cool when I committed the joystick input for Roll in the arcade to memory, and impressing the community with that secret. Thanks to those magazines.
I remember Roll just wasn't up to par no matter who played her, so I ended up learning Megaman as a main anyway. And it was thanks to my favoritism for him that I became a local mid-tier legend in MvC2.
I haven't thought about that in forever and just felt like sharing.

Aye Justin man I just want to thank you for inspiring me to play many different fighting games with each one I've played I've gotten better at fighting games in general and I've came a long way I'm still not as good as you guys who are the best but I'm slowly but surely getting there and I appreciate you for the motivation.

If that would happen, then he wouldn't have done his Chun-Li raw super to Daigo in 3rd strike and won the match and fighting games as a genre would have probably died way earlier. Bad ending.

If you charge mega buster for 30 seconds, while building 2 bars of meter, and somehow hit the opponent with a jab, medium and let go of buster, do beat plane while pushing the opponent forward, you can do a second beat plane since buster cannon will still be hitting, and infinite the enemy lol

Although it's obvious, I never actually thought about the fact Mega Man uses "Tornado Hold". So, canonically this game takes place either during or immediately after Mega Man 8 because he copied that from Tengu Man... 🤔

The stages, the music and the gameplay is just better.

Love your videos, have you ever tried the ps1 version of mvc1? It doesn't have tag switches but the combos make up for it if I remember right. They're honestly 2 different games.
I'm pretty sure there's a video of him playing the ps1 version out there, and he makes a lot remarks about the differences.
