I am going to Paris with both my children next month and I have been watching your videos and taking notes. I even made reservations in a couple of restaurants reviewed by you. Colleen is so adorable, I love watching you guys, so happy, fun and genuine. Thank you so much for doing this. Greetings from Cambridge, Massachusetts 👋
Bien fais! My wife is French and I studied in Nantes where I ate many a galettes with cidre. But I really appreciate how much you all appreciate les crepes et les galettes!
We have been overloading on your videos lately. My husband and I are hopping the train on Tuesday to Paris. We have made our reservations at Les Cocottes and at Le Procope to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. Slightly nervous about all the unrest there but travel should be an adventure, right? Looks like we'll be hoofing it by foot for the celebratory dinner since my birthday falls on the day of the general strike. Good thing we have comfortable shoes! Thank you so much for all the videos. You two are the best! Can't wait to actually enjoy some of your recommendations in person instead of vicariously on our TV!
We're here at Brutus Creperie now and ordered the same exact crepes you ordered!!! Thank you for the recommendation. We also went to the other cafes you recommended and they were amazing! Also the tips on taking the metro made our stay in Paris easier to navigate. We appreciate all your amazing videos.
Great video. I've been enjoying binging your channel these last couple of days. I'd say my favorite crepe was at Oroyona in the Latin Quarter on Rue Mouffetard near the Place Monge Metro stop. It was a nice hole in the wall find after a good meal at a brasserie a friend recommended me in the area. The vibe of being where all the local university students go to hang and stroll made it all the better as well.
Your description of the food you sample and recommend is great, but the expressions on your faces, especially on Colleen's is absolutely priceless!! The way you describe your plates is excellent and I appreciate it even more when there is something that looks and sounds great, but maybe not what you expected. Colleen, leave the cider to Antoine; keep drinking the Champagne!!
A majority of _crêperies_ are run by Bretons. As a Frenchman from Burgundy, I discovered in them that buckwheat _galettes_ are for salty food, while wheat _crêpes_ are for the sugary one.
@@bjam27 Dans l'ouest de la Bretagne on nomme crêpe les deux versions. Dans l'est on différencie les galettes salées de sarrasin (blé noir) des crêpes sucrées au froment (blé).

Making your own Galettes is SO easy and pure heaven for flavor. So far I have only made Galette Complet but this wonderful video has given me tons of new ideas! For one, I am switching to Comte in my Galette Complet but I think I will try every one of these. Thanks so much for making this video!!
I’ve been to Paris seven times…the last time was 2005 😱…the crepes or gyros on rue de la Huchette!!! Wish I could go back so badly…you guys make me hungry and wanting to get on a place! Colleen, your French is wonderful!👌
I love your channel! So great to get some recommendations that are off the beaten track and not the highly popular or “viral” places you see all over social media
It’s been less than a year since visiting Paris and I’ll be returning durning the summer months. I must say, you guys always bring a whole new light to Paris. I’m excited to try out a a few of the places you guys have featured. Thank you
Those crepes looked good, and they seemed quite filling. Have had them in Normandy but not Paris, so something to try next time😍😍😍. Oh and cider is 🥰 😊.
Your channel is so much fun and informative.. Thanks guys you'll are doing a wonderful job.. Keep it up.. Keep inspiring us to travel. I've been to Paris several times but you guys make me feel like I haven't seen anything :-).. Haha best of luck and don't give up till you reach 1 million..
Hi from Scotland 🏴 I really enjoy watching your videos....please keep them coming. That crepe with the leeks egg & goats cheese is one I would like to try when in Paris in June. You have both succeeded in making me hungry.😋 Ps Colleen your French sounds really good.
My wife and i will be in Paris on the 21/3 from Australia and have downloaded your guide and loved your videos. Hoping the protests won't cause too many issues for our 6 days in Paris.
Great menu items to try at home. I love making savory and sweet crepes and always looking for new recipes. I especially liked the one with the mushrooms. The last crepe with Nutella and bananas is similar to a dessert I make, taken from one of Giada de Laurentis' recipes. She stuffed wonton wrappers with Nutella and folded them into triangles and fried them. I changed her recipe to include sliced bananas and chopped walnuts and folded them into triangles, fried them for a few minutes until crispy, and when they came out of the oil dusted them with powdered sugar. It's a crowd-pleaser. Quick and easy and cheap.
We have been preparing for our Paris vacation with your videos for almost a year, Thanks. However we arrive this week. How about a video on how to navigate Paris during strikes & social unrest!
Bonjour Coleen, and Antoine, My husband and are visiting from New Orleans. We watch all your videos, and we purchased your tour guide. Thank you for all the information, it has been educational, and helpful. We are looking forward to trying some of the restaurants you recommended……Merci.
I truly enjoy your informative videos and both of you come across as very nice people who are very comfortable in front of a camera. Thanks a lot and hope to see you in September of this year. Also, your wife's French has improved very much. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for this. I’m in Paris until the end of April so look forward to trying more crepes (have already been to Breizh a few times - love the buckwheat ones there - had the mushroom “rolls” like you did - delish!)
Saturday morning with Les Frenchies is the best! The only downside is my croissant cost $4 here in New Orleans. The bakery smells just like France, so it's worth it.
YEA!! BRAVA!! So glad to hear that you did NOT like something, as it was an honest appraisal of what your meal was like (for you, ofc!). Just as you CLEARLY enjoyed Breizh (chain or not, it is hard NOT to enjoy their food!). And just as he couldn't even speak, he enjoyed it so much, lol! He barely said a word the whole meal! 😅 Alors.... on doit choisir maintenant!! Allez... je mon vais! (And your French has really improved! Encore, Brava Madame!!)
Going to Paris in 6 weeks. I found you guys and love all your videos. Can you please make a video on attraction passes? I am thinking to get a "Paris pass" for 6 days. These passes are attractive but confusing at the same time. Colleen I love to see you eating ! I have learned a lot from both of you and I am feeling confident to navigate the city thanks to your videos.
It's been a year since we went to Paris. We have Rome in the books for this year, but I so enjoy watching your videos and can't wait to go back to Paris to enjoy all of the things you bring to us. I also really enjoy your chemistry. An amazing couple sharing your amazing adventure!
Thank you for another fantastic video! I hope you both enjoy making them as much as we all enjoy watching them!!! Are they updated with the places such as these? Or will there be additional categories to unlock? How does that work? May I be so bold to add a recommendation: La Crêperie des Champs Elysées -- Les Ecuries at 5 rue Washington Rustic decor, old school traditional menu, made right in front of you.
On my first trip to Paris, we ate nothing but crêpes from mobile sidewalk carts (like hotdog carts in New York or roasted or roasted chestnut carts in London) for the entire day. A plain crêpe dusted with icing sugar was 1 franc, a crêpe avec liqueur (usually Grand Marnier or Cointreau if memory serves correctly) was 2 francs, and a crêpe avec confiture was 3 francs. This converted to about Canadian 25¢, 50¢, and 75¢ respectively. Naturally, as cost-conscious teenagers on the loose in Paris, we chose the liquor ones more often than not. I was a little disappointed to see, some decades later, that the mobile carts seemed to be a thing of the past, though we did see a few permanent stands. PS. Rather than cider, Calvados might be a good way to kick it up a notch. ;-)

That's depend, in Brittany, crêpe is the name for both. But they are made of buckweat (sarrasin) and not wheat.
