Finally! I had looked for Thai tea without food coloring added for years, and finally gave up. Unfortunately, my mom is allergic to most food coloring, but she loves Thai tea. I must go look for one without color!

I love Thai tea very much and Thai tea ice cream as well. After watching this recipe, I did it. I must say that it is the best Thai tea ice cream I have ever eaten.
I strict not drinking alcohol. Even I did not put alcohol, it's still delicious
Thanks a million for your recipe.

Don't know if other countries in SE Asia does it, but ice cream served in a hotdog bun with sweet sticky rice and topped with crushed peanuts is a thing most Thai children know and love.

So so good!!! I just tried this and it turned out great. I used 1 tablespoon of coconut flavored vodka as a substitute. The flavor seemed to go well with the other ingredients. Thanks for sharing you knowledge with the world.

I made this a couple of days only changed one little thing. For liqueur I used Rumchata instead of Baileys. I’m Mexican, so Thai iced tea kind of reminds me of Horchata.
Both Thai iced tea and Horchata are synonymous with their cultures. The drinks are very well known, refreshing, creamy, and delicious! If you like Thai iced tea you’ll love Horchata …. and vice versa. The ice cream turned out delicious!

The thumbnail got me so bad today lol the way the thumbnail looks its like a person cradling the earth in their arm and kissing it gently, saying everything will be okay. That false image brought a smile to my face. Now I am excited for the recipe.

Thank you for this recipe! This looks soooo yummy! I can't wait to try it. I just made a simple version where I had my Thai tea steeped in a pot of water (as if to make regular Thai tea), strained it then mixed the tea in with just plain vanilla ice cream. Four scoops of Vanilla ice cream with a 1/4 cup of Thai tea. I know it is cheating but it was still good!

There is an ice cream "food truck" in the downtown area of my city. Problem is its hard finding parking without having to pay. Sometimes the parking fee is almost as much as the food item you drove there to buy. Also the hours for this ice cream truck are usually in the daytime. As far as ice cream makers, I would not buy anything that isn't electric and does not have a built-in chiller. I remember back in the day there was a brand of ice cream maker, Donvier, that needed to have its removable bowl frozen before using it. If you mess up you needed to refreeze it. Not a very good method. I'd rather spend the money. I tried your recipe and it worked great and it was better because now you learned how to make ice cream w/o buying a pricey maker. I dare anyone to down that tea cream.
