Well it really is well done for an ad especially. All modern dancers, including Isadora were touched by ballet, even though she sought a new path in dance. Have studied myself with Limon style and Graham, and created a tribute to Isadora in college. The photos still exist :).
HEY THERE I HAVE BEEN PRACTICING THE DANCE STYLE ISADORA CREATED SINCE I WAS FIVE YEARS OLD AND I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY: NO. This is not a homage to Isadora Duncan. The dance of Isadora is rooted in nature. It originated when Isadora, as a young girl, would try to mimic the motion and feeling of the waves. Each movement you do opens and closes with your breath from your solar plexus. It is fluid- coming from within the dancer and the music rather than on top of it. You should feel absolutely. Also from a technical standpoint, it's very hard to learn Isadora if you've had balle training, mostly because you're never supposed to lock your joints. Your elbows should never be pointy. Ever. Are you seriously doing the robot in an ode to Isadora? Seriously? We teach the children by telling them to imagine there arms are being lifted by clouds and wind spirits. Not all of this was that bad. I can see you're trying to display the emotional emphasis in Isadora's dance, and the importance of nature in the brief woods bit at the end. But it's all superficial, it ignores the core values completely. The relationship between the dancer, her body, and the music, is the entire point. I don't care what you do with your flashy makeup and overly edited videos, but you should absolutely not do it in her name when you display no understanding of her teachings.
This isn't about dance. It's about how a dancer's performance can be overly edited and smothered by video cliches - to the point of not being able to tell if the dancer has any real ability. If I knew a dancer with no technique or presence, this is exactly the film I would make to hide the fact. Final score: Isadora Duncan - 0. Lady Gaga School of Editing - 1.
You can't cover up close-ups during installation. The cameraman doesn't understand how to film the dancers. It must be Seen. Here, the cameraman cuts the dancers and makes meaningless close-ups. Why?!!! I don't think he understands himself. I've come across cameramen who don't know how to shoot a Dance, but they know how to shoot weddings.........
This video made me finally realize how relevant Isadora Duncan can be today. Thank you.

Geniales!!
excelente repertorio
Une danseuse moderne. Libre et invention de la
danse.
So beautiful

Fabulous dancing and interpretation, however you say in text that Vionnet was a contemporary of Isadora Duncan. Is that true?
Please forget my original comment. I read the extended text and received my answer.

Clothes 18/20 but...Techno musique and Duncan don't go together! The modern esthetic wants to make hamburgers of everything. Thumbs down !
Nada que ver con isadora
Jose Miguel Maschietto is a liar impostor.
