I think for the continuous loss equation at point 4 the length is supposed to be 1m as opposed to 0.5m

It’s 0.5m because we are applying the continuous loss equation between point 3 and 4, which is 0.5m of pipe length. It would be 1m if we were applying it between point 2 and 4.
