Thank you for the info on why it's not-too-pink leaves! I've been searching for it. ❤️ Mine is growing healthy but all green. I'm pretty sure I bought it pink. But after propagate it into several new planters, all the leaves growing green. Which makes me a bit sad since I am expecting beautiful pink bloom on my balcony.
How can you tell the difference between this Callisia plant and a tri-color (cream, pink-lavenderish, green) Tradescantia plant? I don't know if what I have growing is a Callisia or Tradescantia 🤔.
Thank you! I got one that was almost bald and very sparse ... when it became nice and warm outside, i left it out under direct sun and rain, now its full! I also love water prop them, so easy. I've also killed one (I purchased online); and have since just bought from local store where the weather is the same.
Hi, Thank you for watching the content sharing your gardening experience to help us all grow beautiful plants! I haven't tried water prop before just directly into soil. I think l will go and try it out. Happy Callisia Repens Gardening ❤️
Thank you very much for sharing your wisdom with us! I love my Callisia Repens, and this answered all of my questions regarding her health and happiness! Thank you again.
Hi, thanks for making this video. I notice my plant situation are quite different from what you have experienced. I discovered there are very tiny bugs crawling all over my pot and some of the leaves are having black dots. I spotted lots of dried leaves as well. Any idea what happen to my plant?
Hi, Hmmm sounds like you have a combination of pest issue and fungal issue on the plant which could be damaging your plant and thus lots of the dried leaves. I would treat both of issues first and see if there is an improvement in the plant. Thanks for watching and asking a question. Happy Callisia Repens Gardening! ❤️
Can I bring my plant back to life? It's a pink lady indian hawthorne. I got it two weeks ago, and put it in the ground next to my other other Pink Ladys and noe it's looking dead. I fertilized and mixed in with dirt as was told to do and gave it a little, but not too much water, but it's looking dead now
Hi James, Thanks for watching and your question. The pink lady Indian Hawthorne is a completely different plant to Calisia Repens Pink Lady. Unfortunately l have never grown a Indian Hawthorne before, thus l can't give any helpful advice to save your plant. Hope you can save your green baby! Happy Gardening ❤️
@PlantNationMinh It's ok. The nursery where I got it told me I needed to water it more since it was planted. I planted it next to my existing pinks that I never really water, because they don't need it much since they're already established. Thank you for getting back to me about it though.
Hi Vivian The more sunlight the more pink and less sunlight the more the leaves will be green. It can handle a few hours of direct morning sunlight and the rest of the day indirect sunlight. Avoid direct afternoon sunlight as it can burn the leaves. Hope that clarifies your question. Thanks for watching and your support, Happy Callisia Gardening ❤️
@@PlantNationMinh My plants grow extremely well in indirect and even direct sunlight, but the vibrant pink has almost all disappeared and now its mostly grey green and purple. The problem doesn't seem to be lack of sunlight. Do you have any idea what I can do to recover the pinkness?
@ejdlee Hi if the plant has enough sunlight and is reverting l could only suggest pruning the plant to back to where the plant leaves started to revert and see if the new grow is pink rather then green. Happy Callisia Repens gardening ❤️
Hi Alyssa Sounds like your plant has a fungal disease called rust spots. I would treat it with a fungalcide. Hope that is the cause. Happy Tradescanthia gardening ❤
Hi Monk great question! I don' think this plant goes dormant. It will grow very slowly or not at all if the weather is too cold (below 12 degree) or if there isn't enough light . Hope that answers your question. Happy Callisia Gardening !
Hi Lady N It will be ready next week. I had to refilm the video as my original video was corrupted when l tried to edit it. Will let you know asap when it is uploaded. Have a great day ❤️

@@PlantNationMinh oh no worries! I just learned that pink panther has longer leaves and a bit more upright growth habit than the creeping pink lady. Just found your page and I love watching your videos. So informative!

What do you do when it becomes brown in around the inside, do you just cut it all back or should I propagate and start over?
Hi Lady fair
I tend to cut it back to encourage new growth and l place the cuttings back into the pot make it more full. Happy Callisia Gardening ❤️

May I seek clarification, if want it to have more pink, let it have more indirect sunlight ? Lesser light cause it more green?
