Everybody loves this game for Vaas, but Jason as a protag is probably one of Ubisofts strongest. I don't want to spoil anything, but him going from terrified and hesitant, freezing up upon killing his first pirate, to laughing and pointing out explosions as Liza drives for her life is such a great insight into his character. We know he's an adrenaline junkie, we know he's deeply flawed and always let his friends and family down, so he embraced this tragedy. I'm just yapping, but it's genuinely super good writing.

Not saying they were Angels back then, but you could tell the games weren't rushed, underworked, and oversaturated. I think the writing in this game was okay on a surface level, I just think it gets infinitely more interesting when you look past the surface (as with most things!) There's a good video documentary on this called "Fat Cry 3" by Pyrocynical. I recommend giving it a watch, he covers this game's depth really well.

Animal hunting is important to craft upgrades. So, I wanna see that. I mean, who wouldn’t want more weapon slots (for the weapons that are free), a bigger rucksack, and so on. Side activities are fun here and there. Please, sell the stuff in your bag. The notice of a full rucksack is killing me. And spent the money. So far, I am enjoying this playthrough. The length of the episodes are perfect in my opinion. Can’t wait for the next expisode.
Quick Tip: Interact with people in the cave next time you get there. Also what a character VAAS. THIS game you can dig deeper in their motivation and everything. Just WOW peak Ubisoft here
There is some type of drug you can take in the back of the cave and it’ll reveal some secret flashbacks! But it has to be done every time you save someone I think.

Vaas is not only the best Far Cry character of all time but one of the best written and acted villains in all of gaming, in my opinion. Far Cry writers have been trying to recapture that magic ever since with a range of enigmatic villains, but none have ever come close. They caught lightning in a bottle with Vaas.

They actually made a mini youtube series to promote the games release called the far cry experience with the actor who was modelled for Vaas, I loved this game, I bought every Far cry game since playing this one and they're all great in their own story situations.
I'd say dont't focus only on main story, free the outpost, improve Jason skills, buy better gear. Trying to improve Jason is fun! It makes his journey more real thank to you, the gamer
You can enjoy the game as you want but i def recommend hunting and side missions. Hunting for better equipment and side missions for upgrades on your weapons. Bigger bag means more weapons and options. Like bows, snipers and grenade launchers

I had to laugh when you got in a jeep there was a quick cut edit further down the road and your windshield was already smashed to hell just before crashing again lol you are a maniac behind the wheel in games and especially this one lol love it 😂🍻

Snipers in far cry 3 and far cry 4 are really good. I bought the remington M700 and the suppressor and went to town on those pirates! Snipers help in hunting easily, hostage rescues etc. also always have a hunting syringe ready because when you get close to a pirate holdout or mission objective, every enemy in the vicinity gets highlighted even dogs. You dont have to use camera recon. You miss enemies with camera sometimes. you should try this sniper and hunting syringe combo its really good!
Far Cry 3-5 are all very formula driven with their gameplay, but the locations make all three games very enjoyable in their own way. Three and five are personal favorites.

You should hunt animals/skins (see icons on map) for expanding your wallet/backpack/unlock 2nd/3r,4th weapon... and you can take snipers, add silencers for stealthy approach, or use bow.. you can also throw knives at enemies..... blue icons on map are side quests, you should do those as well.... also at the shop you can buy maps of each section, where you can see all collectibles, chests etc...

You can do side stories off screen because this wasn’t a time when side quests were that interesting or fleshed out stories. I pretty much focused on outposts and radio towers.
