    Hey Nane,
I’m a huge fan of your channel and really love the unique way you bring songs to life! Your style adds so much depth and emotion, and it’s always a pleasure to listen to your Tutorial and performances.
There’s one song I absolutely love - Love of my life by Queen , and I think your version could make it truly special. This song means a lot to me because I feel in it the strong connection I have lost
I’m sure many of your followers would enjoy hearing your take on it, and it could be an unforgettable performance! If you have the time and if it fits your style, it would mean a lot.
Thanks for all the amazing content you create-looking forward to hearing more of your incredible work!

Thank you so much for all the kind words! Checking out that song now - this could be cool though the piano part as played on the recording is fairly advanced in moments. I will mull it over!

Great video! Thanks! This is perfect for beginner/intermediate players like me, for working on a part of piano playing that gets overlooked, in my humble opinion. We can get hung up on scales and chords and technical things and forget about singing. Singing songs while you accompany yourself with simple chords and rhythms is one of the greatest pleasures in playing the piano. Even if you aren't a great singer, it is extremely satisfying to get to the level of self-accompaniment, or to accompany others. If you are a good singer, the sky is the limit. There's thousands of wonderful tunes in every genre to choose from, and it's a lifelong joyful pastime that never ends.

My first concert , Bob cycled up from the Village to the Garden , afternoon show George Ringo Eric Leon and Bob , I Started with Pianote , learned Let it be with Lisa great ! But that was it after 3 months I learned two songs I really didn’t like, I was lost , searching and I stumbled upon Nate , simply the finest teacher on internet, a Professional musician who listens to the records , I’m spending HOURS learning songs I love , I watch lots of other tutorials all with links to sheet music,, all cost 6 bucks plus to download , why send money to a giant corporation? I’m going to support Nate , if I download a song , I’m going to pay him instead of Musicnotes , we’ve got an amazing thing here

Of course hardly anyone, including pros, can play it just like the amazing, gospel influenced part by the iconic Paul Griffin who played on everything back then (including most of Dionne Warwick's Bacharach songs as well as the great part on American Pie)

Absolutely awesome Nate! I love that your tutorials do what you say, which is capture the energy of the song and let the lyrics do their own work.
With that in mind, would there ever be a chance that you'd do Rainbow Connection by Kermit? I'd love to be able to do that on the piano (don't have a banjo... yet...)

Nice tutorial! They really aren’t any good tutorials on TH-cam for this song. It’s the organ that makes the song. An interesting story about the recording of this song. Al Kooper, who was a session guitarist was invited to play on the record. However, when he showed up and he heard Mike Bloomfield, warming up, he realized that Bloomfield was a much better guitarist and he probably wouldn’t get on the record. So in between takes Al Kooper went into the studio on the Hammond B3 played the chords and improvised some lines. He really wasn’t an organ player prior to this. When Dylan heard what he was doing on the organ, he really liked it and wanted it turned up in the mix. Because Al Kooper was really a novice keyboard player, and was improvising at the spur of the moment, he ended up playing behind the changes which really fit the song. After this recording, Al Kooper became known as a keyboard player.

I just saw the Bob Dylan movie "A Complete Unknown". I loved the part where Dylan goes into the studio to record "Like A Rolling Stone", and a young Al Kooper sneaks in to the session while nobody notices. He slides onto the organ and plays that wonderful iconic hook lick that has become such a huge part of the song. What a genius to be able to come up with it, on the spot, out of his head. That's one of my all-time favorite stories in rock and roll history and Al Kooper has done TH-cam interviews talking about it.

How 'bout playing this in 3/4 time, instead? No? Yeah, that would be ridiculous, right? But that's how Dylan originally envisioned playing it. Thank goodness someone stepped in and axed that notion. And Dylan's vocal delivery/treatment of the melody was equally bad and forgettable for a _whole_ lot of takes, until he eventually hit the sweet spot of an emotional gem (masterpiece, imo) that we came to love on the final studio recording.
Someone _knew_ there was a diamond hidden in that underground mine, and they managed to have the patience to get it out of him, and he cooperated. Same for "Aw, you ain't no organ player." Thankfully, that one prevailed as well. Sometimes, the smallest little details loom very large in the finished product.
