I love Arches in the winter. You have to be careful because of ice. I took my two little boys when they were 8 and 6 and it was one of their favorite trips.
Hello Catherine...from Ouray, CO!! Welcome back to our neck of the woods! I have some land over in Paradox CO; just on the other side of the La Sal Mountains where you are in this video!! It's a frequent spot that I drop my travel trailer and use it as a base camp to explore what we call "The West End"; the west end of Montrose County. Thank you for sharing your trip to Moab with us! It sure is stunning in the winter! I have a long hair german shepherd. Because of the crowds, it seems that it isn't as dog friendly as it used to be. I guess a few predecessors have wrecked it for all of us now :-( Safe travels!
Nice video of Moab and Arches National Park. There is so much to see there. First, I have a couple of Utah videos on my channel including the Moab area. I am not the youtuber you are but hopefully I captured some great moments around Moab and the parks. Many years ago, as a child my family and me lived briefly in Moab. It was before the parks becoming National Parks. It was a beautiful place to go hiking. I even found the house we used to live in overlooking the town. Returning early in the pandemic was perfect as crowds were low. During my week there I went three different times to Arches. Driving into the area of the three gossips was very a very spiritual and awe inspiring moment. So beautiful. That day I went to the Delicate Arch for sunset. It was amazing. I could write a book about that week there. Anyway thanks again for your video. Good luck in your journey.
I have lived in Utah and travelled, camped and visited many areas north and south. Lived in Provo and neighborhood and Salt Lake. Traveling in many different times of the year....but I am loving your many places because it is a very open view ❤...Utah is gorgeous and I love also my vary many wonderful friends I have had in my many moments, college, work and church...❤
Wow. Catherine your videos are absolutely breathtaking , Utah definitely will be on my bucket list, I’m always looking forward to your videos is like traveling with you , I truly enjoy all of them.
Cat, I watch all of your videos but this one may have been one of your best. Of course truly stunning scenery with the ascent of snow was incredible but I think you did an amazing job with your music choices as well as your voice overs. Really great job!
My daughters 7 th grade teacher organized a field trip to Arches for his class in 2019 we went there is February, it was snowing but so so beautiful. Not crowded but a little slippery hiking to the delicate arch. We loved it so much my husband and I took our kids back 2 months later.
My family also went in winter, but it didn't snow this much. Arches National Park in the snow is fantastic! I watched the video so well, and I can't wait for more great videos in the future.
Visited there for the first time last April.....loved it. You really have a knack for picking the right music to enhance the video footage. Thanks for sharing.
I love starting my Sunday's with you, Cat. The scenery was beautiful and you selected some great music to accompany it. So glad you are spending time with family this winter and enjoying the beauty Utah offers. As always, thanks for taking us along.
Beauty right here on my screen… looks like a wonderful trip. Good to hear that your sister and birdie join you. Thank for a great time. See ya in the next one, cat.
Only thing I can say is WOW!! A winter wonderland! The formation are beautiful but the dusting of snow is like icing on a cake. And the sunset you captured towards the end was magnificent! I can't help but mention how interesting your narration is. Enjoy your trip with your sister. Looking forward to your adventures in 2023.
Great video of a gorgeous place to visit in the winter; and I agree, even better without the crowds. I noticed that you showed the Moonflower Natural Foods Store in Moab. It reminded me to say another prayer for Gabby Petito & her family as well as for Kylen & Crystal and their families. Take care, and keep enjoying safe & beautiful travels.
I'm 81 and in a wheelchair and one of the joys I get is watching your videos. In the early '70s I broke my hip after being bucked off one of my horses. A friend of mine was helping me and she and I and my 8-year old son headed for Utah (I was living in California) to Arches to pay homage to Edward Abby and Desert Solitaire. We were in Utah a week, the last two days being spent in Zion and THERE WAS NO ONE THERE!!! Utah was wilderness, the road to Boulder ended at Boulder, the Utahians weren't particularly happy to see us although we were a very non-threatening trio. You recent video reminded me how lucky I was, even with a broken hip, to see southern Utah at that time. I am so happy your sister was there too. Thanks again for another great video.
Had a similar experience New Year's Eve & New Year's Day. I boondocked in the area & the whole trip was just so beautiful & fun! Also enjoyed Cañon Pizza! So glad to have gone this time of year ;)
Seeing Birdie in the snow brought a tear to my blooshot baby blues. Reminded me so much of the part Gerrman Shepherd/Siberian Husky puppy I had as a kid into adolesence who always thought of himself as a lap dog! (At 90 lbs!) He went absolutely crazy in the snow! Yes, zoomies in the snow! I still miss him these decades later. PSE tell your sister that she not just a survivior, but a conqueror. I know there are folks here facing physical limitations that may limit or even keep them from experiencing the wilderness first-hand. Where illness or injury says "no", the human spirit can respond with "I will". (Since this is a family channel, I'll keep the vocabulary polite!) Isn't I-70 awesome? Drive it in that area at sunrise or sunset. A real treat. One disappointment is the lack of snow accumulation. I'm thinking about Spring and Summer. I went to the Eastern Sierra Nevada once in Winter and know what it's like dealing with closed restaurants and such in the "off-season". You're still pushing the envelope of your photography and videography. Keep it going! May Almighty God Bless, Guard, Guide, and Protect you in your adventures. 73!
It is such a beautiful place, and even more beautiful in the winter. Your production values are great. The music was a perfect accompaniment to the scenery.
I live on the east coast and landscapes like those in today’s video seem so unreal. I am planning a trip to see these places within the next few years, God willing. I can hardly wait to experience them for myself. I realize, though that my photography and, maybe, videography wont do them nearly the justice yours does, @Catherine Gregory. Thank you for sharing.
Started my Sun am with a great cup of French Press coffee here in Payson AZ Thanks for taking me along. I came thru the Moab area in Nov via Grand Junction to Moab to AZ I will be back to Moab. Amazing formations and the red rocks … Great work on the video and great selection of music. Yep Moab is stunning. I will be back. Travel safe
Birdie is so cute! That shot of a rock formation seen through an arch in the foreground- and to offer good detail of it all- stunning! We appreciate your talent every week. ❤ That sunset! Please thank your beautiful sister for sharing herself, her time, and her cute dog in whatever part she played in getting you to Arches for this trip. ❤
We visited in April a few years back, snowed the night before we got there and cleared some of the campers at Devils Garden Campground so we were able to get a camping site for a few nights. A few inches of snow that melted by afternoon. Both Arches and Deadhorse are stunning!
I know how quickly the light can change during sunset at Dead Horse Point so it was fun to hear relaxing music in the background as we encountered various camera angles knowing you were probably running around like a busy bee to capture it all. And, regarding your sister, we are all your sisters, loving being carried through your adventures even though we have lost some mobility with time - more hot cocoa, please.
Hi Catherine! We love your content and start every Monday morning by watching your newest video. We can’t wait to see these beautiful places in person someday. On a fashion note: I have to ask, where did you get that colorful coat that you are wearing in the beginning of this one? It looks wonderful! Have a great week.
Cat, My wife and I were camp hosts at Devils Garden Campground (Arches NP) for several Spring season's in the early 2000's. It was a wonderful experience, never to be forgotten. During our time the park would get busy at times but nothing like it does now. You choose right to visit in the winter, is beautiful with the snow and red rocks. Was fun to locate some of the many arches and even "discovered" a few myself. They are recorded in the listings found at the visitor center. We love the area but unfortunately it is becoming over loved. Keep them coming!
You really scored! Wildly beautiful. Arches is #1 on my do-not-visit list because of the insane crowds, and the associated dog-eat-dog camping situation around Moab during the season. I lived there 20 years ago and only cracked into Arches once!
Wow! What a way to experience Arches!! Always has been a bucket list place to see, but ya know going along with you gals was great! Maybe one day we'll get up there in person. Just want to tell Jill, congrats on beating cancer! So NOT an easy battle for sure. You are a strong lady with much to be thankful for. God has plans for you Jill so keep kicking the crap out of the Devil & remind him God gave you what it took to beat what he tried to inflict you with. Way to go girl!!
My wife and I were in Arches in October and it was beautiful! We both commented on how gorgeous the red rock would be dusted with snow and well here is the proof. Thanks for an awesome video.
I've been to Moab, late summer of 2017. It was one of the many trips my wife enjoyed most. I plan on going through there again with her watching from Heaven. Thank you so much for bringing back the wonderful memories! Its so beautiful in white!
Delicate Arch was my wife’s first hike. She had built it up in her mind and didn’t think she could finish it. Since that hike we’ve hiked all across the country and she has came so far since that hike. Glad you and your sis and birdie got to enjoy it. Safe travels gal😊
Thank you very much for bringing Utah to us! If I ever make it there it would be in the winter! I am a big fan of off season no crowd!! Have a great week ahead!
Catherine... Good morning beautiful. I've been awake since four thirty, sitting here playing some Beethoven and waiting for this video. Absolutely beautiful. It's nice to see you spending time with your family and enjoying the winter season. This is another of your masterpieces. Spectacular scenery and perfect music selections. So you know. Thank you for brightening my day. Be safe and well. Have fun wherever you go. Love you. 💕 Randy. 🎼
So many great things about this video. Love that you and your sister had this time together. Loved your sister's dog Birdie! I lost my sweet hiking buddy, Smokey Bear, to cancer this Christmas. Birdie looks like such a great dog. (Sorry if misspelled his name) . I'll have to get the book Desert Solitare. Thanks for the recommendation. Safe travels.
So stunning. I moved to Northern Utah 10 months ago and haven't made it down to that area yet. I heard the crowds are insane now, and if you want to hike Zion you need to get reservations. I bet you and your sis had a glorious time. That is so special that you were able to enjoy those beautiful moments together.
It was such a pleasure accompanying you on this video! I was in Utah two years ago, in August, and I got to see the crowds and experience the blistering heat of summer while at Arches. Still gorgeous and unforgettable, but seeing the same magical place without the crowds decorated with snow, that was special! Thanks again, Kat!
I just absolutely love the contrasts that you see in winter time. The white snow on the red rocks with evergreen sprinkled around. Just spectacular. Thanks for sharing your trip and wonderful cinematography! Beautiful!
Well, I’m sitting here on Sunday enjoying your video eating my breakfast omelette jalapeño Brotz cheese, tomatoes slice of toast with raspberry jelly. I gotta say it’s gorgeous views in Moab try to catch up on some of your latest videos. 😊 Ok 👌🏼 🔥🤠🔥Camping Russ out
Beautiful video!!! The best I've seen of Arches. Camped in that area twice and love it. Spent a week at Dead Horse Point a couple of years ago and think it and Canyonlands are the most scenic spots in the country.
Arches Nat'l Park was stunning! Views that can be seen nowhere else in the world. Nice that you and your sister and Birdie could go on this adventure. $88/nite for the B&B was unreal! It was beautiful and so large and spacious. Enjoyed the video and your wonderful videography and narration.
I've been watching your channel for a couple years now and this is my first time leaving a comment. The photography in this video and all of your videos is stunning! My wife and I love watching your videos because of the great photography and for the fact that you don't play distracting and loud music in the background. WE are looking forward to future videos. Thank you.
Beautiful video of the Parks! Glad you got to enjoy it with your sister. Thanks for sharing...............
It is my immense pleasure to meet you! Great love and respect from a solo mountain hiker friend from the Lower Chitral District of Pakistan!
Beautiful 📸 I lived in Moab, Utah for 48 years great place to live.
I cannot wait to go to Utah, and got my Arches timed entry ticket for the first week in April😁👍🏽👍🏽 Thanks for sharing!
I love your videos. They always bring me in a good mood.... xxx
Thank you 🙏
Spectacular.
Thank you for taking me to places I might not otherwise be able to visit!!
What a gorgeous adventure. I'm in sensory overload. Thanks for sharing. .
I love Arches in the winter. You have to be careful because of ice. I took my two little boys when they were 8 and 6 and it was one of their favorite trips.

Have visited when there were low crowds in the spring, just beautiful, loved being taken back to beautiful memories, thank you.
Beautiful video ,I am glad you had time to spend with your sister
Snow makes everything look better! 👍😎📷❄🌲✨🇨🇦
Loved seeing Moab ! Thanks much ! So nice to travel with family. Stay safe out there ! 8 )
Love how the snow delineates the features of the red rock country!

Thank you,,, this was heart rending, achingly beautiful America, wild and lonesome and free, in more ways than one....
Cat, I watch all of your videos but this one may have been one of your best. Of course truly stunning scenery with the ascent of snow was incredible but I think you did an amazing job with your music choices as well as your voice overs. Really great job!

Snow sure makes the blue sky and rock colors pop! Good video!
Been there. Gorgeous scenery. Beautiful video!!! Safe travels
Did you see dirty bird 🦅

So beautiful. In summer is its wonderful but in this winter landscape it is breathtaking.

Wow the mountains look amazing!
Just made the same trip right before Xmas. I highly recommend Love Muffin Cafe, great pastries and coffee. Cheers!

Thank you so much Ken! That sunset was incredible! We were in complete awe!
I agree! The snow against the red rocks is amazing! Quite possibly the most beautiful video I’ve seen on Arches NP! Great job, Cat!
At 3:40, it looks like an old cathedral on top of that hill.
How amazing and beautiful!
That park avenue view was altogether majestic, enthralling even, God bless your travels.
Your brave, good for you! Beautiful and I appreciate the video. Been thinking about southern Utah soon.
Another beautiful video and I’m so glad you’re spending this special time with your sister. ❤
Nice touch identifying the highways..

These landscapes are so stunning with the the snow - just gorgeous. Thanks for bringing this to us bouncing around elsewhere right now!
I visited Arches National Park in October 2012. It was magnificent then, but nothing as fabulous as this winter time visit.❤
Absolutely beautiful, Catherine! Thank you so much for producing this video. Best to you from Florida.
I totally understand why you didn't have a video last week. But it still made me feel like I had the bends. That's how much you've become a part of my life.
That's enough for today sweetheart. Thank you for brightening my day. Be safe and well. Have fun wherever you go.
Love you. 💕 Randy. 🎼
Thank you Randy. I’ll try not to miss too many Sunday’s.
Your video editing has really improved. I love your music choices, combined with great still shots, and videography. Great work! Moab is so beautiful.

Thank you.
Thank you both so much! I appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Oh Catherine ! This is wonderful and I have just eaten my day meal. Hope all is going well with your Winter upgrades. Hugs 😺🍀💚💚🍀🍀😺😺
