THE FUCKING CHARACTER GROWTH the first time we learn about the death anniversary of his dad David was so cut up with unexpressed grief and anger over how he wished he could control when it hurt and how he didnt want it to be painful when he remembered his dad. and now we get to see him on the other side of that healing, where the anniversary can just be another day and he can fondly and casually talk about his dad 😭😭😭

He is so sweet oh my goodness. One thing about David that has absolutely stolen my heart is how we've been able to watch him go from this quite distanced man who we could tell wasn't 100% sure of himself despite coming across very confident to this sweet guy who now has all of the trust in the world for his mate who has taught him that it's okay to be vulnerable. He's so much less harsh with angel now that he's settled fully into the relationship and it honestly warms my heart to see how far his character development has taken him. That's not even to mention how angel has helped him to untie his "knots" (as caelum would call them haha) from gabe passing away. He's gone from trying to hide that fact that it was gabe's death anniversary and he was hurting because of it to openly discussing it with angel in a completely calm tone. Angel truly has brought David the peace that he needed - everyone say thank you, caelum 😌😌

Realizing that David’s dad passed a year before my friend passed really put into perspective on how long it’s been but how much of a healing process it’s been. Proud of the character for having that development throughout time makes me also proud of myself a little bit.

so i clicked on this video by accident and ended up listening to the whole thing, then listening to other david videos, now I am marathoning the whole werewolf playlists, Im in the middle of the Inversion and I've read several wikis for these characters and can I just say, I've read entire, professionally published, fantasy series that have done less world building than Redacted does. this is a fascinating world and stories.
