I am able to remember the details that were carefully, strategically implemented to make me forget I’m watching a movie, reading a book, listening to an audio, however I decide to consume a story. The way a scenario can play out in many ways, the sounds created to grab you, suck you into the world unfolding in front of your eyes, your imagination, is always an experience to remember. Laughing at my expense and scaring me? Really, David? Well, good to know you’re made of tough stuff because I might squeeze tighter than necessary. Just remember, it’s your fault my heart is pounding the way it is. Every time you yawn, I can’t resist wanting to poke your cheek. I just watched the movie for the first time actually, like, 10 minutes ago, and it was actually really cool! It wasn't scary at all, barely startling, but it was still really fun to watch. The fact that Angel gets scared by it is so funny to me as well. Like, that is a grown ass person getting scared so easily it's hilarious. Edit: also yes, the thing jumping on his face IS the most exciting thing that happens in the movie, other than the bit in the dining room where Young Hot John Hurt dies a horrible gruesome death and the xenomorph bursts out of his corpse.
