In Patti's younger days before her hips went bad she used to literally roll around the stage back and forth. That woman truly gives every performance a piece of her soul.
This is evidence, That PATTI (at her age) is extremely PHENOMENAL!!! I've noticed from many other singers in her age bracket, she seems to Maintain that High Quality level of her vocal abilities to an extreme high standard! Quite Unusually and commented,,,Evidence that this is no more than a Blessing from God!!!
Miss Nona must have slept w/a leprechaun to be able to still have that incredible body @ 60-somethin' years old! She is forever fierce! This group as a whole is beyond compare! The only group that could even stand anywhere near them is EnVogue and even THEY had to add an extra girl! *whew*

i wish i could've gone to this concert. i danced and sang with patti on stage in 1995 after i graduated from high school, and met nona at a restaurant i used to work out in 2001. i would've been like a number of people in the audience that night...sitting there crying my eyes out.
Nona and Sarah are PHENOMINAL! But, can we just talk about how Patti's pitch perfect range here is just ridiculous?! I mean it's a perfect contrast from her younger days. Back the she had agility and range without any thought process going on. She just sang! Here she more than matched that with an even stronger vocal at the same range; she absolutely took years of experience and executed a flawless and even more phenomenal performance with little effort. She's anointed truley anointed!
I want to respectfully disagree w/you showtime211. When I go to a live concert, I want to hear something different from the record. I want to hear the soul & truth of the artist. Thats why I love Patti, she rarely sings a song the same way twice. She feels it, and however she feels itm, thats how she sings it. If I want the record, I can stay home & play it. This is a treat.

I love Labelle and every one of their songs. Isnt it a shame i tried to turn opportunistic men ( of course i didn't know this when we got married) into real husbands. After three times, I'm done. Their loss. I'm living for the Lord and the people of Chicago that truly love me.
Truthserum101 after Labelle disbanded Luther Vandross did do a lot of BG vocals for Patti ( as well with real real early David Bowie and Roberta Flack ) and also there were 2 other vocalist who accompanied Luther on these projects and they were Fonzi Thornton ( who did put out an album ) and Tawatha Agee ( mtume ) who also put out an album of here own.
@miznatacha Well what Patti was doing was signifying that this song marked their breakup and so it was more of a theatrical thing with this performance which works out Great...Yes Patti is the more dominant singer but they all lead & unlike diana she never wanted to go solo...this was the type of music she wanted to sing and they wanted to do other genres so they had to let it go...
I cried knowing this can never be sang by this amazing iconic legendary trio ever again. RIP Sarah Dash
