    with neat story's like this, I'm honestly stunned you don't have way more subscribers man...
    I have seen you on Kevin, Finn and Dylans channels a few times...I regret not digging into your channel archives sooner.

    That engine block shined up like a new penny! Never would have guessed that, considering how you found it.

    Why can’t I ever find an engine sitting on the side of the road? 😂 I have a LS to rebuild for my 81 Trans Am so I’ll be doing a lot of this soon. Going to copy your wrist pin removing jig. 👍

      @SallysSpeedShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha I will say that’s the only one I’ve ever found 😂 That’ll be a fun project! The wrist pin trick works well!

    To have an engine in a known good condition from you own hands and with good parts seems well worth $3k in my book. Still odd why somebody would just dump the whole thing on the road though LOL. I mean if a cylinder were "vented" by a rod, I might see it....

    • @SallysSpeedShop
      @SallysSpeedShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh, most definitely! I would love to know the story as to how it ended up there for sure.

  • @1gatomon

    Welp, I am glad you do what you do. Because I have always let the Machine shop do my rods and pistons. Its been more often than not that the big ends are not round after all that time and a bunch of detonation. since gas is not what it used to be.

    • @SallysSpeedShop
      @SallysSpeedShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve never had an issue with one being out of round on an LS, but it’s never a bad idea to let a machine shop check things out if you can afford it.

    You guys need to get those battery powered headlamps, for when the power goes out; or get a generator!

    you can also freeze the wrist pins for a couple of days ..does the same thing shrinking the pin enough to press it in
