I am Chinese, the Aito brand has been confirmed to have serious failures, lost power, brake failure, airbag sensor failure, assisted driving out of control, headlights failure, interior noise, stealing user information and threatening car owners through the local government and police, banning rights protection. The Chinese have begun to fight back against Chinese brands in favor of Tesla, Volkswagen, Toyota and Hyundai. All you need to know is that Chinese companies are generally young and have no strength in the auto industry, they are just squeezing workers to reduce costs, copying foreign brands to reduce the time cost of design, and everything is controlled by authoritarian governments.

With the price comes the true cost of reliability, battery fires, weak technology, and so on. There is a reason the CCP bans all videos of cars failing and why most Chinese people don’t trust their own brands. It’s funny how a brand can just pop up out of no where and still have the capital to ship their cars across the ocean, oh yeah they get funding from the CCP and every personal information you share with that car company has to by law to be given to the CCP intelligence agency

@@tj2nyc uh… you already pay way more. I’m always surprised by how little Americans know about their own government because they can’t do any more research than turning on Fox News.
The biggest receiver of government subsidies in China is BYD, who has been given $3.7 billion.
Tesla has received closer to $15 billion.
Volkswagen and another Japanese car maker (maybe Toyota) received $27+ billion between them just from our Canadian government. The US also spent a whopping $80 billion to bail out their failing auto makers. But I guess a bailout doesn’t cost tax payers…?
Northvolt received $7+ billion and is now on the verge of bankruptcy.
Yes China has spent a lot on subsidies… but so has everyone else including Europe and the US. The problem is that those subsidies mostly vaporized into thin air aside from Tesla. Canada’s investments yielded ZERO returns. We lost about $42 billion dollars in EV subsidies for absolutely no reason. I’d rather China had just sold us EVs and the tax payers spent the $42 billion on actually building some god damn roads and infrastructure in our country

    • @Joe-l1g7z
      @Joe-l1g7z หลายเดือนก่อน +101

@@tj2nyc Thats so funny cause BYD is the biggest receiver of subsidies in China to the tune of $3.7 billion but is now on their own while Tesla has already received over $15 billion and counting. For us in Canada, our government gave Volkswagen $13.2 billion and they did jack with it. Another $15 billion was given to Stellantis and now they plan to use that subsidy money to buy LEAP MOTOR VEHICLES from CHINA and then put a Stellantis Logo on it. They plan to buy vehicles that sell for 9000 euros in China and sell them for 21000 Euros... Imagine if Canada had just bought LEAP MOTOR instead...
Lets not even talk about our idiotic investment in the European battery maker, Northvolt. Those guys got $7.2 billion dollars and are now on the verge of bankruptcy.
Its also hilarious that we don't count the $80 billion auto industry bailout because of how bad American car makers are.
With $3.7 billion dollars, BYD is the highest receiver of subsidies from China and is now the biggest auto maker in the world and one of the two biggest battery producers in the world. The problem isn't that China subsidizes their car makers. The problem is that they are actually doing something with the money the government gave them while all other countries assume subsidies = pay raises for CEOs.
TLDR: You are paying way more tax dollars than Chinese people by spending tons of subsidies to pretend to compete with China.

    Hello American friends,
Here in Egypt and even the Gulf. Chinese cars are dominating the market.
Over the years, they just keep on getting better and better and build a tier system with their brands and quality.
    Couple of things to note:
1- Although they have come a long way with safety standards, I still feel the finishing touches in a European or U.S. car is better and the quality of steel used.
2- China has everyone beat in the technology input game: if you like your cars filled with a HEAP of cool tech, I think at this point Chinese cars have everyone beat. Not only is the tech they add cheaper, but it’s almost the same quality.
3- price: like I said earlier, they got a tier system so some of their cars are going for the luxury market. But my god, you can get a GEELY Emgrand basic for a nickel and a dime which makes the world of a difference for populations were the idea of getting a car is rare (think of the social mobility this does in your local or rural communities).
4- US approach of denying Chinese cars isn’t solving much, just stalling the inevitable. Also stop the U.S. car industry from being competitive with against a serious competitor.

Let's say you're right, but it doesn't matter because they're really comfortable. The Chinese government has made sure that the cost of living is affordable and that people aren't taken advantage of by greedy people like in the West. Have you seen how much rent, food, and transportation cost in Western countries? It's all because of greedy bastards. I stayed in a really nice hotel in China for about $30 a night, and it even included free breakfast. The truth is the truth, but a lot of people can't handle it.
