The first thing John Challis told Kenneth MacDonald when he met him in heaven must have been "Large cognac, please, Michael"
Beautiful comment.
Quality
And Trigger would be there with a great one-liner, I'd imagine.
here's a pound and I want change
Legends
Trigger as ever sticking up and trying to help his mates out. True friend. The sort of friend everyone needs 😀😀😀😀😀
A brilliant actor, Boycie was a truly iconic character. John Challis has left a fine legacy.
RIP John Challis. Legend.
Season 6 as a whole is just an absolute masterpiece.
No one.could have played Boycie like John Challis. A legend.
"Large Cognac please Michael" . Boycies greatest ever moment in my opinion
You mean every
Then you obviously don’t know much about OFAH then as their has been far better moments like the episodes with then card game or in the episode with the gold chains, or the diamonds or when Slater comes back
@@CricketEngland I've seen every episode numerous times, that's my favourite Boycie but , it really shows that even at a time like that when he should be scared shitless he still had time to be incredibly selfish and stingy and take advantage of someone
Definitely
@@CricketEngland What do you mean he obviously doesn't know much? He's entitled to his opinion on his favourite moment just like the rest of us lmao.
Couldn't stop laughing when Trigger hit the button on the phone giving away Del Boys whereabouts XD
I always liked that even though Trig had nothing to do with the gangsters, when they want a word with Del on his own Trig doesn't go until Del makes him. Good pal.
OFAH isn't real .
@@ianbain8838it’s real to me, damnit!
And later when Del doesn't come down after Trig, Boysie comes rushing in obviously thinking they were beating Del up.
@@ianbain8838 no, but you can appreciate characters, especially when they are well written.
The Driscoll Brothers are some of the best casting in the entire series. As soon as they enter you can feel a shiver down your spine
They played the role of intimidating London gangsters well, but funny at the same time, like the little brother Tony being such a nutcase he wanted to kick down the door when he can just open it 😂
"I don't know, you said quick up the stairs so I just went." Roger Lloyd Pack's performances never get old.😂😂
One of the best characters in OFAH!!
“Dear dear dear, well you let us know the moment you find out who done it.. and we’ll sort him out” classic 😂
That mock laugh 😂
All the lads remember Marlene
So late 80's. Can hear Neneh Cherry Buffalo Stance in the background. I was so lucky to be a kid when this show was in its prime and there was a new timeless hit song being written every week
And now Neneh’s daughter Mabel is rocking the charts, time moves on so quickly 🎵
The 12" version it is
1989 this aired or 88
I have seen these shows so many times, I know exactly what’s going to happen and I still end up laughing. That’s comic genius.
“Now here’s a pound. And I want change.” 😂
"Large cognac please Michael."
You can almost feel the pressure of that finger being brought down on Michael's hand.
Brilliant! My dad played Mickey Pearce, I still remember when he was off filmimg this!
Amazing!🙏🏻🙂👍🏻
😨
Your Dad was great as Mickey!!
Thanks 🙏
👏👌
From one Boycie to another ,R.I.P John and thanks for the tears of laughter through the year’s.
Design?
Year's
“Large cognac please, Michael”. 😅
Why is this so funny?
@@sallyirving5883 Why weren't you looking after your own tapes? Do you have to get mummy to do everything?
And she didn't "lose" them. She tossed them in the trash because they were absolute crap. Your mum had good taste. I like the sound of her. RIP.
@@sallyirving5883 Your mum didn't lose them. She destroyed them or threw them in the trash. Otherwise you would have found them in the house.
In any case, you can buy the whole box set on Amazon for £30 rather than illegal home taping.
@@pmonkeygeezer6212🤡
"Large congac please michael"🤣
I still think this will be the best sitcom in 50yrs time.
They never fail to make me smile, they all play such a good part. Boycie and his laugh, sad he has gone.
"I know you was cheating Boycie, cos they was not the cards I dealt you", loved that interchange.
R I P Boycie, your laugh will love on forever & will make generations more laugh
It's spelt generations
@@stephensnell1379 That's how he spelled it you pedantic tosspot.
Brilliant Classic Clip R.I.P Boyice what a legend when I hear Boycies laugh that’s how i’ll always remember him
It's spelt BOYCIE
@@stephensnell1379 Everybody makes spelling mistakes
God bless you John Challis, Boycie was the best.
RIP John Challis
R.I.P John Challis. We will never forget you. Hoping the angels are looking after you in heaven
R.I.P. Boycie , legendo
Such a lovely way to remember the wonderful John Challis aka BOYCIE
What made this so more realistic and great is the fact boyce is so tight.. everyone has that one mate who would jump at a chance for something free
R.IP Boyce the greatest laugh of all time always remembered 🙏
Little problems is one of the best episodes ever, it’s so underrated.
Its one of my favourites along woth Yuppy Love and Sickness and Wealth
Chain gang is probably one of my favs. As well as Class of 62. It’s just great when all the boys are together
Only Fools and Horses was massively successful for years and years. What makes you think this particular episode wasn't liked by people? You're just copying other people's inane comment, aren't you? Do you think you'll ever have an original thought?
@@markfox1545 Mate calm down, this episode is never in the top 20 sometimes not even top 30 on any greatest episode list. Hardly any people ever mention this episode when talking about great episodes and as I said it never gets in any of the countdowns of best episodes.
@@markfox1545 and I never said it wasn’t liked by people, I said it was UNDERRATED meaning it’s not rated as one of the best episodes when it is, open a dictionary mate.
Rip John challis
Gone but not forgotten.
One of the best UK sitcoms of the 90's.. I was born in the 90's and I miss it and the early 2000's.
Trigger puts the curtain over his head even after he is discovered.....classic
this along with fr ted will keep people entertained for years to come....both are class shows
When our boycie reached the gates of heaven he instantly said large cognac please Michael ❤
Great comedy just gets better with age. Awesome.
I like how throughout the series they build the Driscoll brothers up and they certainly didn't disappoint
Love you John Challis
Trigger what you doing "don't know you said everyone up stairs so I followed"! Roger Pack brilliant Trigger! RIP
3:52 moment and the one when Del falling through the bar are epics.
This one is too funny I can't take it anymore it gets funnier with time😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤️
Timeless brilliant classic.
They dont write them like they used to do they. Never ever gets boring does it.
A true masterpiece
RIP Boycie. Gone but certainly not forgotten.
Tony bangs the door several times
Danny: "There's a doorknob there Tony, why don't you just turn it like a human being."
Yeah, I know; I just watched the video.
RIP JOHN CHALLIS ❤️
I've gotta a lovely couple of skodas 😂😂rip John challis thanks for the laughs pal ❤️
Mike the cool person moonlighting as gangster
Little Dave hedgehog.
"There's a doorknob there, Tony. Why don't you just turn it like a human being?"
😅😅😅
😂 The younger Driscoll brother was a nutcase. Sullivan obviously based them off the Kray twins but with great comedy thrown in. Their old man smashed himself to death on his prison ceiling 😂
@@caseyfalconer7347
Boycie: "Even the Kray Twins told them to lighten up!"
🤣🤣🤣🤣
This scene is legendary, they acted the "English Underground gangster" so very well.
Loosely based on the Krays....
@@stephenphillip5656 more like the Blundell Brothers
Total classic .
RIP John Challis
Rip to them they were gr8
Some say that The Driscoll Brothers are still looking for the person who got Marlene up the spout.
Rumour has it that Del got her up the spout 🤣🤣
Love Boycie And Trigger ❤️👍
Rip John 🙏 you legend
Don't make them like that anymore. That aerial going up Del Boy's nostril, bought tears to my eyes.
3:52 Comedy gold 🤣🤣
Funny because my name is Danny, my dad's is Tony. Also My dads dad was called Albert , and his dad ( Irish ) came from New Cross and did a milk round in Peckham. My dad's best friend at school name is Rodney , and.....my mothers maiden name is Trotter . Yep , this show means a lot to me
You should sell autographs!
Still hard to believe these characters were written for Anthony Hopkins. He was a massive fan of the show and agreed to be in an episode due to his love for the show. When John Sullivan wrote this episode he wrote the character Danny for Hopkins. Unfortunately due to conflicts in his schedule he couldn't get the time to film it.
Oh, wow, I didn't know that! Thank you 😊
Who the hell gave it a thumbs down?. Obviously someone with no sense humour.
Michael, the landlord?
@@johnfry1011 lmao 🤣
Driscoll brothers
Best TV programme ever made
“Large cognac please Micheal”
"hello Danny you're bother not with you?" "Yeah" "oh whatcha Tony" brilliant
That short guy i met at the post-office.
He was about 5ft with same haircut but all gray.
You mean Dave hedgehog?
@@JohnSmith-ef8nr You mean Mike from the Young Ones?
@@justme-hh4vp - yes thats the one. SO short he was.
Rip Boycie
You shall not be forgotten
Mike: What do they look like?
Boycie: Well one of them looks as though he was evicted from the Planet of the Apes. 😂
Del Boy: "The other 1 looks like Cliff Richard's". Mike: "Does he look like, he hasn't changed, than his years" ?. Del Boy: "He's got 1 of them faces, you wanna slap".
Boycie Dels arch nemesis!
This is the pinnacle of sitcoms ...there will never be another OFAH. RIP John Challis.
Large Cognac please Michael 😂
RIP Boycie legend
Roy Marsden (Danny Driscoll) would have been great if he'd been in Star Wars as a Star Destroyer Commander.
Very good
Mate the thumbnail 😂😂
One of the Driscolls bodyguards looks like Arthur Bostrom better known for playing Officer Crabtree in Allo Allo.
2:37-2:47😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"He's got one of our phones up his nose....."
Love trigger. Trying to help. Good friend
John challis a great actor RIP
I didnt know Archbishop Welby had such a shady past :D
Back in the 80's we had a couple of characters just like the Driscoll brother's in our local. One of them always had his right hand tucked inside his coat, like he had a gun i suppose. This, in a village pub in the middle of sleepy Hertfordshire. Looking back they were about as tough as a wet paper bag. Embarrassing really.
Buffalo Stance in the background lol
RIP Boycie!
The only TV gangsters that don't look threatening
3:20 the background music is Buffalo Stance.
Gone......gone to the great used car garage in the sky.....RIP SIR JOHN
The next scene is one of my favourites. Del would rather take a lashing from 2 formidable gangsters than let Rodney down
I always found it odd how the Driscoll brothers didn't seem to know who Trigger was, when they all went to school together...
Mike The Cool Person from The Young Ones 😀
The first guy who walks through the door looks like Mrbeast I can’t unsee it
R.I.P John Challis .Boycie
My mum calls me and my brother the driscolls . Not because we are gangsters but my older brother is 6 foot 3 and im 5 foot 7.
That's only 8 inches jn difference! The Driscol brothers were 5'1" vs 6'4" in real life! Anyway, size isn't everything, especially if you don't have much of it, like you and me!
The other one reminds me of cliff Richard… 🤣🤣🤣
The shorter 1 was "Mike" from the "the young ones" and their hench man with the moustache was "officer crabtree" from "allo allo"... The British agent masquerading as the French police officer with the funny accent /voice.
check out "The Sandbaggers" if you want to see Roy Marsden at his best!
1:12 the hitman from scarface
👍👍👍👍
Dear dear dear
henchman on the right is Arthur Bostrom from alo alo , gud moaning
