Nailed it. Thriller's harmonies have subtle dissonant notes all through it. Very hard to play by ear. Your car horns were totally on point. It would sound "off" if they weren't.

He means that the original (SNES) had a VERY basic, VERY limited music composing scheme that looked like this, but what you see here is a revamped/improved version for PC. If memory serves me correctly, it didn't allow you to:
1. Use accidentals (sharps and flats, diatonically restricted to the key of C).
2. Could put at most 3 notes on any beat.
3. Only 3/4 and 4/4 time.
4. Only had something like 40 measures maximum
5. Quarter notes only.
But it had all of the same sound effects. It was fun!

@brackno This is in C# minor. Check out 0:00 -- the very first note for the bass (heart) is C#, and the organ (cars) plays a C# minor chord.
I used to have this game when i was a kid, maybe 10 or so. Im 34 now so im not sure the timeline of when i had this game. But ive tried making songs on that when i was a kid, but got so frustrated so i stopped lol. But nowadays, i am into softwares that you can make music on thats the same as this mario paint one. I know first hand how hard it is to make songs, especially songs like this one on a harder platform. I can tell this took probably a couple months to get it down perfectly like you did. Major kudos to you and im happy you got so many views on this to pay your bills. From the looks of all your videos, it looks like your living life comfortably. Youve made it my dude. Your crushing it. Something I can only dream about unfortunately. Thats good for you man. Take care and keep making cool songs.

to this day it still sounds great
@Viperr101 it is multiple files that the program "Mario paint composer" stitches together. If you watch the scroll slider goes across several times. The current file is listed to the right of the "load song" button at the bottom. This is not done on the SNES unless you splice the sections together in a video editing program.
Haven't listened to this for awhile... it's still awesome.

Actually, yes. Go to notessimo(dot)net. It's like mario paint, but you put in the length and volume of the notes, there's WAY more instruments, and it sounds like actual music. I use it frequently.
