      Cheers, can't take the credit, i bought it like that, was really well built and rode well, totally stable at 70mph, sadly it had to go, replaced it with a KTM 640 LC4 Supermoto.

      The pipes were nice, whole thing was pretty well built, chop is now gone sadly, needed something a bit more useable, swapped it for a KTM 640 Supermoto.

      @@Markycarandbikestuff I’m building one as we speak. I have a 81 CSR. You definitely gave me some ideas for the exhaust. Lol.

      Cheers, had to rebuild the carbs, sounds rough in the video but runs ace once fully warmed, bike rides well, might do a walk round video when the weather is better.

    Those kz’s are hell if you don’t prime them up, i usually switch it to Pri if its the original petcock if not then just ON, switch off key on, kick through twice quick, then kick through slow 3 times, turn the switch on and kick it hard at about 1/8 throttle. Killer bike, way clean

      I did get it starting a lot easier after this vid, problem was a dud battery, started first kick after new battery and fitted electronic ignition, bike was ace, very well built (no by me), now gone sadly, replaced it with a KTM 640 LC4 Supermoto.

    Hello mate, did you build this bike, cos ive just swapped it for my Harley sportster. i wanted something a bit more customy, youll be pleased to hear its running the same, but smoking its tits off, was thinking valve stem oil seals etc, not had chance to have a run out on it yet waiting for dry roads. Its gone to a good home.

      No i didn't build it, think it was originally built in 2008, i bought it in 2022, it had just been put back together after being in bits for years, had a few teething issues to sort, i rebuilt the carbs, fitted the electronic ignition, new battery etc, motor was smoking a bit if it had sat a while, i thought it was fuel smoke rather than oil, maybe carbs needing adjusted ?, it does clear when riding it. It is a nice old thing, pretty well built, it rides pretty well, had it up to 70 and it tracked dead straight, i thought the forks were a bit soft when i had it so was going to fit longer spacers. I wanted something i could use in the winter so swapped it for a KTM LC4 Supermoto.

      Gotcha, it seems to be one set of exhausts blowing bluish and one set blowing grey. The guy i swapped with mentioned you had gone for a KTM, nice machines, was kicking yours this morning and started thinking, "im getting to old for this", 😆. im going to look at sorting the starter motor clutch.@@Markycarandbikestuff

      @@lukekendall2091 Aye, i think the float heights in the carbs need looking at, i set them by sight but really need set with a small clear pipe that attaches to the drain plugs, carbs are easy to take off though and i used re useable rubber petrol proof gaskets on the float bowls. Starter clutch is a big job, Z Power have them in stock though.

    I know you deleted the vacuum. Did up I have to block off any more lines to run that tank?

    • @Markycarandbikestuff
      @Markycarandbikestuff  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sorry mate, not sure as i didn't build it, tap just had a line to the carbs like you say, no vacuum, not sure what the standard set up is.

    It sounds like your float levels is too high, making it rich, does it smell fuely.

      Carbs are fine but found out after this video that the battery is done so ignition was not getting 12V, also realized it should not have been that hard to start, even from cold, has been getting progressively worse since i got it last June, got a new battery and I'm replacing the points ignition with electronic, will do another vid when it's sorted.
