All valuable tips. Let me add 1 very important recommendation. Expect to walk a LOT and climb MANY steps so prepare yourself physically a couple of months in advance and buy comfy shoes.
My top tip which I've NEVER heard anybody put near the top of their packing list recommendations for travellers to Japan: BRING YOUR OWN TAMPONS. Even if you don't think you'll be due during your time abroad, take a pack with you. Secondly, bring a wad of coffee filters and a holder cup to make your own drip coffee; the freeze dried stuff you get in hotels and the little clip-on-cup drip bags you can buy in supermarkets in Japan are undrinkable muck. Serious coffee shops obviously offer some wonderful drinks but I'm talking about the instant stuff. If you love coffee in your hotel in the morning etc, please take my advice or drink dirty dishwater instead. You can buy beans all over the place in Japan and have them ground for you and get the bag resealed properly-- or you can decant your own ground beans from home into a clean jar. But the tampons are non-negotiable (unless you are happy to travel wearing pads).
Hi Remi!!!!! I want to thank you for all the information you have organized and all the videos and ideas for a trip to Japan! My husband and I decided a week ago that we want to spend from mid sep until Halloween in Japan and got tickets! We found your channel last night and subscribed and binged like 3 hours of your videos hahaha. I loved the Pokémon you got :3 . We are both foodies and love that you show so much about the food there. Also your dad is the sweetest 💗 😊 !! We'll be coming back to your channel and posts because this will be our first time there and we need all the information we can get. He's studying Japanese so I'm glad he can read and translate many things 😅. Sending you a big hug from Canada! ❤
Wow, that's so great to hear! I'm so happy you found my channel and find it helpful as you prepare for your upcoming trip! Mid-Sept until Halloween?? That's a good amount of time! And you'll be going during my favorite season to visit (Autumn). 😊 I love that your husband is learning Japanese.🥹 ahh I'm very excited for both of you! thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and leave such a nice note!
@remishimazu hii!! Of course !!! We both felt like we somehow bonded with you hahaha. We can relate a lot to some things you shared because part of his family is from LA and we lived there for 5 years. We're both passionate about japan and decided to save all our vacations this year to just so one long trip so we can enjoy it instead of rushing lol. I'm glad we picked a good season ! I love Halloween 🎃 so I was excited to spend the holiday there. Again, thanks for all the information, it's really so helpful! I'm looking forward to buying the stamps journal 😄
She didn’t recommend using a phone service with international data despite its apparent ease of calling and roaming internationally. Because from her experience, her phone’s network speed in Japan was annoyingly slow. Depending on the number of days you would stay in Japan, you could buy a 5G docomo or SoftBank SIM card with variable data transfer limit plans, and insert it to your phone SIM card slot once arriving at Japan. To activate the data service, you have to turn on data roaming your phone mobile data settings.
Rename this video to "Beginner's guide to travelling to another country". I spent 16 mins watching your video and most of these are NOT japan specific. I genuinely came here to watch your video and ended up disappointed. Never once u spoke about suica card or what network provider to get for sim/esim. "Be sure to have a valid passport". Thank you, captain obvious. This video could literally be an email.
Thank you for your feedback and I appreciate your time watching the video. I will consider your suggestions and make sure to add more Japan specific items in the next checklist video. I cover suica and specific eSIM providers in this video if you’re still looking: th-cam.com/video/THc4LWe78Gc/w-d-xo.html
Japan is often the very first trip for young people who secure their first paychecks so totally legit even if this is common sense and applies to any destination

What cell phone company do you use the US?

It was too wordy and lack of particulars, from my perspective.

There’s so many other videos you can checkout in addition to this if information provided wasn’t enough.
