This is amazing. You just reduced a week of anxiety about opening up our org to guests into 18 minutes of clear, concise, easy to process and implement info. Thank you!

How can you restrict guests from accessing manage team option at the team level and be able to view other team members across different channels?

when u set MFA for all users in conditional access , does that include guest users as well.
If you allow only admins to invite guest user under entra collab settings, does that override let users add guest in m365 org settings > sharing

I would like to use a OneDrive Request Files folder but to do that I need to allow All in Sharing in SharePoint and OneDrive. I would appreciate it if you would discuss the pros, cons and alternatives for uploading files from guests in a future video.

Great video! What about self service sign up for guest access? Is this possible with Sharepoint/OneDrive?

M365 business standard doesn't appear to have multifactor authentication included for external guest users. Is there another secure way to collaborate with clients using this subscription?

    Hello Jonathan
I see you have a lot of experience with MS Teams, so I would like to ask you the following question: Is it safe to work with guests in MS Teams and how would you manage the following issue?
I like MS Teams but i'm also frustrated...
I have created a Teams for my project management in MS Teams and invited external people as guests. Now a guest has received a new PC and has lost all links in Teams. This guest has now asked me if I can send him a QR code for 2FA so that he can log in again.
As a normal user, I can't and have therefore asked our administrator for support. He was surprised and told me that inviting guests is very insecure and only a few companies do it. He also didn't know how I had managed it. In short: My guest can't log in yet because our administrator doesn't know how to do it because he has suspended 2FA in our company. So the guest does not receive a QR code or any other option to log in again.

You need a conditional access policy that all guests should have 2FA enabled. Guests in Teams is perfectly normal. It needs to be designed correctly.

@@bearded365guy Hi. So it is possible to enable 2FA just for Guest?
My Administrator don't want to enable 2FA for all company, because people don't like it. He told me it is super complicated...

@@favi7997 Oh my goodness! Time for a new administrator 😂 - but yes, you can create a policy just for guests.

@@bearded365guy I don't know whether that's good or bad...😅 In any case, there will be discussions. We live in 2024 and should be allowed to work with modern and established tools such as MS Teams.
You wouldn't happen to have a video for our administrator? Like step-by-step for Admin Beginners in MS Teams🙃😅

Can you setup notifications to go out to global admins when a guest user is invited by someone?

@13 min. My admin has Display Name, Department, Contact Information and nothing else. The user is outside my org. How do I give them the permission you are showing? I have MS365 E3 subscription as admin.

Sounds like you're trying to give a tenant admin role to an outside user, which you can't do in the 365 admin center. Select an internal user, then you should be able to assign roles to them. In the demo, I think Rishi is an internal user who is being given a role so he can invite other guests/outside users to collaborate.
EDIT: For clarity, a person from outside your company (like an MSP) can be given admin roles (including global admin), but I believe you need to create an internal user account for them in Entra or Active Directory (if you're hybrid). You don't necessarily need to assign a license to an admin account.
EDIT (Again): It looks like it will let you assign admin roles to a guest, but I was only able to do so in Entra. If I view a user in the 365 admin center, I get the same limited options you saw (display name, dept., contact info, email, job tile, groups). Microsoft ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
