Military Surplus Body Armor: PASGT & Interceptor Vests

- Military surplus body armor is not something that will save you money. Modern body armor is more reliable, cheaper, lighter, and more comfortable. The PASGT vest is ~45 years old and the Incerceptor vest is ~25 years old. The kevlar in these vests may not be good anymore as well.
However, people love to clone and collect 80's-90's-00's era kit, just as I do. If you search around enough, you can always get a good deal. I got my PASGT vest and ACU interceptor vest for ~$75. The woodland one was a bit pricier (~$200), but it's in immaculate condition.

Woodland tax is real. I recently wanted an Assault pack and can’t find them for a non ridiculous price.
😂 tell me about it. I literally just did the same thing last night.
I had someone donate an M1 helmet with an M81 woodland cover at the Goodwill store I work at. We put it up on our online store (think Goodwill version of ebay) and I can only imagine what it went for.
IIIA Is rated up to 44mag… not 9mm
that's right, thanks for the correction
That is correct. These vests however are only rated up to 9mm
Pretty cool video, sir 🙂 I hope you continue to make more…and get more help with the algorithm.
Maybe unrelated but I’ve recently acquired a modern Russian plate carrier with it’s excellent armor plates, can’t really say it’s surplus if it’s removed from the battlefield, though 😁
my local surplus store sells all flaks for 50 bucks doesn't matter if its pasgt or an IBA
What’s the name of the store
woah! lemme know too!
Tell me NOW
