Being born and raised in Ohio my entire life (41 years by the way) there are SOOOO many haunted places in this state. I also have to point out that though "only in Ohio" is very applicable to this state (and something I hear often from people living there) it does annoy me when someone from another state or country (I believe this channel is based in Canada) uses the phrase.

I too was born and raised in Ohio (72 in December) and have actually visited many allegedly "haunted" places. I've never had anything remotely resembling a "paranormal" experience and have never met anyone who can prove they have. It's all superstitious nonsense.

I am from Canal Fulton. #2 about the Century House you mentioned about a tunnel. The tunnel is in fact there. Just bricked up. But there's a constant chilling breeze that comes through the cracks. The tunnel runs under the street to the basement of what is now a tattoo shop owned by my cousin. Back in the early 1900's it used to be a tavern with a brothel upstairs which now is apartments. The establishment was frequented by both Irish & German immigrants who didn't really get along. Alot of drunken fights would break out & they sometimes ended in a fatality. If the person who killed the other had enough money the tavern owner would take person, along with the dead body through the tunnel across the street to the crematorium to have the body cremated. No body, no crime.
The one about Lock 4 is also in Canal Fulton. Even spookier is when the canal was being dug by Irish immigrants, many of them died from malaria. They would bury them along the towpath. Dozens of them in just a mile stretch of the canal. Many have seen the ghosts of the Irishmen wandering in the woods between the canal & river.

I live in Cleveland. When I was a kid we used to go in a tunnel that leads to Franklin Castle from the shores of lake Erie by Edgewater Park. We used to drink 40 oz bottles of beer and smoke weed inside this tunnel. There is graffiti in there from countless youth who did the same things we did. During the prohibition era Franklin Castle was owned by a gangster who used to sell bootleg alcohol that came from Canada and was smuggled to Franklin Castle through this tunnel. The city of Cleveland blocked off the middle of the tunnel with bricks so people could not go all the way through the tunnel to Franklin Castle. Franklin Castle is truly haunted. My friend used to live right across the street from the place. She told me she could see a lady in the window at night time. During the time she saw the woman in the window nobody lived at Franklin Castle at all. It is a spooky place. I used to walk down the sidewalk and be scared when I walked by the place. If you ever come to Cleveland check it out you will get bad vibes just like I did.
