    they just have to cut the trai in half but the switch part is main line/off main line

    so theoretically, as long as the train has a few dpu's in it then you could hook as many train consists together as you wanted to. theoretically, a train could be 20 miles long as long as you have dpu's

    Great job! Another advantage of DPU is increased tonnage rating. I think CSX uses a factor of 10%. For example, on 3 locomotive train, tonnage rating is 10% greater with DPU versus if all 3 were on head end. Thanks for all your great videos!!!
