I love how the show portrays such a huge gap between the wisdom of Gretchen and everyone else (especially Louis). Gretchen was basically a 500 year old mothering a bunch of 2 year olds. She always says and does the best thing given the situation, with one tremendous addition: she does it without even threatening anyone’s beliefs. Truly a wise character.

Every lawyer needs a good paralegal. Gretchen has been a paralegal for 24 years. Personally, I would say her experience and contacts counts for at least an extra $10,000 a year. In America, paralegals average out at around $68000 depending on which state you're in, your experience, responsibility etc. Gretchen I would say is worth at least $80,000 a year.
I'd make it an extra 15000 and if the stuffy shirts at payroll said we didn't have the money I just take it from their check
