Love my sisters & brothers in Christ. This looks amazing. Love to Miss Kay & Mr. Phil & all the rest of the family. Jesus loves everyone, if you haven't give your life to Him today. He is waiting for you.
I actually use a friend's basic custard pie recipe which uses cornstarch instead of flour but to me the easiest part is doing the custard in the microwave. You start at about 2 mins, stir, put back in microwave for about 1.5 minute and then stir again, micro in 1 minute intervals until it is almost thickened. Then I temper my eggs and add them and the butter at the end. Finish cooking. It is a fast process in the Microwave. The other thing that is great to do in the microwave is peanut brittle. Same process; just have to slow down the time as the mixture gets hotter or it will boil over. Love Miss Kay and the whole Duck Dynasty family.
I love watching her cook. She’s a great teacher❣️That big ole double boiler is about as big as she is. Doubles all of her food. Wow! I admire you Miss Kay✝️
Looks delicious. I have always made the recipe on the box of vanilla wafers. The egg whites are whipped into meringue and put on top of the pudding and then the whole thing is put in the oven and baked. It is absolutely delicious. People have always said it was the best pudding they have ever eaten. I always double the pudding part as I love the pudding. I will have to compare the two recipes and see the difference. I also lay the wagers in one layer and up the sides and put a layer of bananas and a layer of pudding then wafers and so on. Now I am craving banana pudding.🤣
Ms. Kay, this is how I make my ole time banana pudding and I make egg white meringue top it and brown and so good. Love you and the whole family so much. God bless and keep you safe.
That's the way my late hubby liked it. The way his Nanny made it--pudding from scratch, real Nilla wafers (and a homemade meringue topping). No boxed stuff for him!
I have a bread banana pudding from hundreds of years ago in a cook book older than all of us put together. It had been o In fires, has blood on it, it's my husband's family cook book. I must say that this recipe in this video is the most modern most popular and honestly MUCH MUCH EASIER. Thank y'all for posting this
Miss Kay, I know I own one of your cookbooks and this fruity dessert’s in there somewhere. I’ll probably watch this video again if I decide to make it.
My Dear ole Granny made hers alot like that. She'd take the egg whites and make the topping put it on then bake it till it browned a little. Very good stuff. I'm like you Mrs Kay I like going lite on the bananas to! Thumb's up video, God bless ya'll!~John
Gotta try my Grandma's version. Whip a pint of heavy whipping cream & set aside. Mix one box of "instant banana pudding" with a cup of ice cold water, After mixed well add 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated) Fold in whipped cream until blended well but not too much. Layer Vanilla wafers a cup of pudding cream mix & a layer of banana slices repeating until deep bowl is full. Refrigerate overnight. Good for breakfast snacks or dessert ! (1 box of vanilla wafers, 3 small ripe bananas, 1 can of Eagle Brand (or store brand) condensed milk, 1 box of dry "instant" banana pudding)
That's the exact same way my grandmother made it and my mom still does. That's a very old recipe. It is very good. They also make chocolate pudding that way.
Pro tip from the other south, GA. We mix the whites with sugar to make a meringue and put it on top and in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown at 325 F°.😁👍
Miss Kay! ....... No zoftig cooking, lol! I'm so enjoying watching you .......... cook! ....... Feed ...... the skinny lines first??? ...... Folks can't stop enjoying this treat! ....

I want more recipes from Miss K she’s got so many years of cooking experience and I love to cook but I’m only 22 I’m pretty good still but I’d like to learn more She needs her own TH-cam channel most TH-camrs Post on a weekly schedule she could choose to post twice three times maybe four times a week and it wouldn’t be too much of a strain I think the easiest thing would be to take volunteers from the family that would film and edit her videos then, so no one would feel overworked, you could just rotate the volunteers through on a schedule so everyone gets an equal amount of turns and no one feels like they are doing more of the work than anyone else?? It’s just a thought…
That looks AMAZING.
God Bless you guys for bringing Jesus back in the conversation.

I want to move to West Monroe just so I can sit and listen to the word of God and eat at your table.
You'd never get past the body guards to get close enough to even speak to her, much less eat at her table.
looks awesome, love you miss Kay
That's exactly how I was taught to separate egg whites. And I'm with you miss
Kay. The old ways are the best
Excellent work, as always, just a tip, slice the banana in half down the middle then cut it thin
