I started a landscape company last year and I bought all of my hand held equipment from sthil and let me tell you guys I regret than decision today. Recently I bought a line trimmer and a hedge trimmer from shindaiwa and I don't even touch my sthil equipment anymore. If you are not sure about this brand just give it a try and I'm sure that you, like me will fall in love with it. Prices are better too.

How about an ECHO model? I live near 2 dealers, a Stihl dealer, and an ECHO/Shindaiwa dealer. But why does STIHL even SELL anything? Well, the question is, Why does ECHO/Shindaiwa even sell anything? Well, the awnser is, Because ECHO/Shindaiwa gas string trimmers are long lasting and got power or actually to make money. But what do YOU recommend??? I know right. I use mostly Shindaiwa tools and when I talk to other landscapers about them most don't know the brand.
Stihl is better
I don't speak Japanese but I'm pretty sure that Shindaiwa must translate in english to something along the lines of "BADASS!" I'm just saying!
