Very interesting setup to those of you that miss the FC Nova Runemaster setup of 1.0, probably not as good overall as the Spark Charge Sorc Frost Claw setup I uploaded recently, but there is a lot of potential here for further theorycrafting. Check out my Sorc Spark Charge Frost Claw setup here: th-cam.com/video/1RoQk84Qcds/w-d-xo.html
I've been playing sorc frost claw celestial conflux ignite, any tips to help get that juiced up? Just wanna see how far I can take it since I don't see anyone else using ignite
Omg i'm new to Mage and following 😂 your Sorc Spark Charge, its so good but when i see this Spellblade build, dammm it looks so coollll, so biutiful to compare with the recent one.
Interesting build! I went Spellblade to start, but I went manastrike version. Works pretty well so far! Caster version might put out more dps tho, but man that base crit node on Spellblade is so comfy, int stacking is such a good fit for mage now.
Yo Forozen I am very grateful for the guides, I use them a lot and I really appreciate your theorycrafting. Today, out of boredom, I decided to check what will happen in Frostclaw sorcerer put idol 4x1 with 6% frost claw reduce cost/penetration and and +12 mana/armor and cut my frostclaw cost from 42 to 40!!!. I could probably be the first one to think of this? Please take a look at this statue :)
I have really wanted to try the Shatter Strike build but I was afraid it might be clunky or squishy and I didn't want to play it without a backup build. But now this looks absolutely amazing, thank you!
Spellblade for Spark Charge proccing is the way. However I play it with Mana Strike and melee AS. It loses the extra Frost Claw procs, but gains 60 ward on hit from Spellblade melee stuff.
there really isn't much cover for shattered strike. shatter strike has 2 play-styles and both of them are mana strike->shattered strike. Bloody nib is play-style that focuses on status effect DoT and the other play-style focuses on critical-rate. The dext and int route were literally created for shattered strike and flame reave but those spells aren't as good as frostclaw. I theorized this build as soon as i saw patch notes for spellblade.
It is amazing how you could transfer the build from other mastery, the only downside for me is the visuals I just cannot play it, last season I had to stop because of headaches from nonstop blinking and the fact that you don’t see a thing on the ground I would be curious to see you fight Abborath with this build:)
you can play Sorc and use frost claw (fire) to trigger fire novas, im playing it, ignite build, with +6 ele nova helmet and that sceptre that gives scorching flames, its good too (sorc because passives for +40% ignite duration)
Really interesting°!! A few questions, 1. What are the essential items you need to get this build rolling? I assume Heart, Ladle and Enigma, but maybe even more? Like a minimun on a stat or something? 2. How does Spell Critical strike chance with Critical Strike Chance work? Do they just add up? Like, if you have 20% Critical strike chance, but 80% spell critical strike chance, you have a 100% total critical strike chance with spells? Bc i believe how these stats interact can change a lot how to make a build...
@@FrozenSentinel I mean, i know that about increased ciritcal strike chance. But i don't know how those 2 different stats interact with each other, if you have 50% in each does that mean you basically have 100%? Or ir it more complicated?
Does this version level as non-spark charge FC scaling flat damage via Glamdring node in the FC skill tree? (For reference it gives 1 flat spell damage *to frost claw as a spell only* per 1 flat melee damage when you have 3/3 points in it instead of the 1/3 points we usually use for travel). I remember in 1.0 people were using that node in early game on runemaster with the only source of flat melee damage being a mace. Early game spellblade has so many more sources of flat melee damage that it seems like it would crush early game. I assume it would fall off late game because I don’t think it applies to ele nova procs, and in the end FC and ele nova are basically just to proc spark charges for the real damage of the build, and spark charges don’t benefit from the flat spell damage either. It just seems to be a nice temporary fantasy fulfillment while leveling.
Might be good early game like you said, but without Volley of Glass we don't get enough hits to scale it late, you would need a totally different setup for that
Yes, I haven't found an updated way to do it for 1.1 yet though. nexusmods has some setups you can use, otherwise you can manually change your character files but it is a lot harder
I haven't really looked at Spellblade yet but from a playstyle, I had assumed for it to be a Sith type of combat. Seeing a lot vids on this channel about Frostclaw, I'm actually curious. I don't go off of builds but seeing the skill in use (with Enigma because of course, right?), seems like it could build up charges really fast. Might sound silly but does Frostclaw benefit noticeably from increased cast speed?
The low mana cost version does benefit a lot from cast speed, the Sorc high mana cost benefits a lot less since it can't make full use of it easily. A lot of FC content because it's just an area of the game I know a lot about
Probably the same as FC Nova Runemaster, the setup will be similar. Rushing the crit node in spellblade will provide a lot of early power with a small amount of int in mid game. Any spellblade leveling setup should work here, you will be able to switch to FC Nova once you have enough points to grab the reduced mana cost and some efficiency. You probably won't want to try it until you have Fragment of Enigma
I have a question, off topic. but you're THE CoF guy soo.. :) I gain favor for getting exp and buying prophecies, but I'm thinking i should wait to spend my favor until im rank 12(11 and a half atm) and spend it all for x2 reward profecies. is this a thing or do they all just give x2 rewards the second i ding rank 12 you think? on one hand i takes a bit longer to hit rank 12 but since im fairly close it might be worth it if the rank 12 bonus only applies to the prophecies bought after that point.
Each favor spent is 2 rep so if you rep you need is < 2x the favor you have, you can spend all your favor and ding R12 which will immediately start working for any prophecies you already bought.
ive been playing the regular frostclaw RM from 1.0 using your build. Right now im at 394 corruption with very good gear ( 182 int, 218% cast speed unbuffed, 91% spellcrit, 42% armor) and killing bosses at this point is just so atrocious and takes forever, although you fly through monoliths (although every elite with a shield bar starts to take longer and longer aswell), its really saddening. Im considering whether to invest the time in leveling a spellblade now for this version of the build or just level something else that is a good bosskiller. can you show us some footage of you killing bosses with this build?
Do you just play frost claw in the cycle and set up to your filter for that, or is there any consideration for some things for another build, eg rare affix shards?
This cycle I did just set up for FC / int / mana stacker initially. I'll probably expand it though as I want to try other stuff. It's mostly exalts I'm missing as I pick up all potentially useful uniques
@@FrozenSentinel yeh that's fair, just thinking on the side of the spark charge applied by melee bonus and ward on melee hit passive. Just something different.
@@FrozenSentinel i doubt it because % scaler of mana strike 100% and shattered is AT best 300% with huge mana cost sink. Flame reave is 160%x2. Mana strike has most potencial because arc lighting bumps mana strike to 200% and spark charge is another 100%. this makes mana strike a 400% skill, but this still isn't enough because your losing 50% cast time frequency. 50% /800% frostclaw is like 400% missing damage. you need add 400% scaling to equalize it. the only conceivable way to add this much damage is static charge and lightning blast which have 100% and 250% respective effectiveness.
hello i'm trying this build on your recommandation but i'm struggling to know in what order to attribute my passives past mastery choice, could you give some insight on it ?
Any spellblade leveling guide should do it, some of the sorc setups like glacier should also take you to mid 50s to switch. FC leveling guide might also be fine but this setup is a bit different
1.0 was and always will be the best version of Last Epoch to feel as an overpowered mage and that's why i started playing LE to begin with, for nova frosclaw then wraithlord Both got nerfed bravely I will keep playing 1.0 until i'm satisfied then i will move on to other games
To be honest I don't think you'll find many games that never nerf things, power is always relative to the content available and when something can trivialize everything in the game effortlessly they will usually either bring it in line, or add harder content to make the relative power closer to what they intended in the first place
When i find a game i always check the best builds then i decide to play it or not Yeah they can nerf things, but i can also play the previous version that doesn't have the nerf There's more than one way to skin a cat 😏
What you call overpower is actually a bugged build and in LE there has been many bugs because you have freaking 125 skills each having 20-30 nodes. If you like playing builds only in their bugged version you can enjoy them for a season in most games, after that they will be corrected

+7% reduce cost/penetration its ok too +8% give 39 mana to frostclaw
6% would take you to 39.43% anything below 40 will not work - it just shows as 40 in game
You are actually right, the game shows 40 and it is apparently less than 40. There would have to be a roll with 5% for it to work.
You know a game struggles with balance when the best way to play a melee class is as a spell caster. ooof
