Worked perfect for me on my Mid-2012 Macbook Pro, thanks! Unfortunately, I still can't get Windows 10 to recognize an external display connected via a MiniDisplay-To-HDMI adapter, so I guess I will have to install macOS Sierra and use BootCamp from there so I can install Windows 10 in BIOS mode rather than UEFI. If anybody else is trying to install Win10 in BIOS mode, know that some USB 2.0 flash drives containing the Win10 installer (like my PNY) won't boot in BIOS mode (you get the 'No bootable device' error), only in EFI mode. I'm buying a SanDisk because apparently those should be able to boot in BIOS mode correctly (by booting from the 'Windows' option, rather than the 'EFI Boot' option).
hello. i have an old macbook model a1278 (it says mid 2012). is it ok for me to make this way to install windows 10 with bootcamp? some years ago i replace the original HD with an SSD and i added RAM now its 16GB. Let me know please, thank you!

Thank you so much I was finally able to solve the audio problem, I appreciate it. But when trying to clone the drive with windows, it doesn't create it as a bootable drive.
I followed this step by step, but whenever I restart holding the ALT key to try downloading windows using the bootable usb, it does not appear as an option to start it... What have I done wrong?
Have the exact same model as you except I have a slightly bigger size on the hard disk but I can't seem to partition it, and the only error that shows up is "An Internal error has occured. Operation failed."

I'm buying a SanDisk because apparently those should be able to boot in BIOS mode correctly (by booting from the 'Windows' option, rather than the 'EFI Boot' option).
bit late but one way to install in bios is use a cd not a usb. that way you install in bios mode
my friend, it worked, thanks, Imac 2011
Deu certo, só seguir os passos e prestar bem atenção pois ele da uns cortes no vídeo e a gente fica meio perdido as vezes.
hello. i have an old macbook model a1278 (it says mid 2012). is it ok for me to make this way to install windows 10 with bootcamp? some years ago i replace the original HD with an SSD and i added RAM now its 16GB. Let me know please, thank you!
Thank you so much for this, really helpful!
Wonderful ! Thank you so much. Thật tuyệt ! Cảm ơn bạn.
Thanks a lot! I just want to know if I already have installed windows on a external disk drive, is there anything I can do to fix the problem (no sound) or do I have to install it again?
Thanks man, worked like a charm
Works, BUT every time when I try I saw screen of death(blue error screen) every time
Problem with igdkmd64.sys , just entered macOS and renamed it and now windows works fine
The same problem for me. I could really use help with this step 😓
Same problem, have you install it?
How did you make the bootable USB, what tool and what settings?
no hay respuesta como creo cle ubs para boot camp
Thank you, it worked ,God bless you.

Have the exact same model as you except I have a slightly bigger size on the hard disk but I can't seem to partition it, and the only error that shows up is "An Internal error has occured. Operation failed."
