    Thank you Nelson for the tutorial. This is the first chainsaw I ever bough and handle = I was a bit apprehensive but your assembly instruction and cutting demo were comprehensive. This is a great tool for my needs. I also recently purchased an electric lawn mouver and a leaf blower from Kobalt and they work great.

    Hey Brad. The battery tools are so handy. And the technology on them is really getting good these days. I'm sure you will find plenty of uses for that saw. Take care.

    I love my Kobalt Pole Saw - 80-volt - 5-ah battery - 10" Bar - 6 ft / 8ft foot Pole Saw. No cable. Using an Oregon Bar and Chain. I have been using it for more than 3 years now. It works great on my southeast Louisiana farm clearing property that a hurricane went through and trashed all the trees in the woods of our 20-acre farm. I carry it all over our woods and the battery lasts a long time. Today I'll be cutting a 6-inch limb off of a tree out front. I am also using (2) Kobalt 80 volt 18" Bar Chainsaw and using the 5 AH Batteries. Cuts huge logs great. The first one wound up in a puddle and stopped working but after a couple of weeks and it had dried out, it started working again. For oil I like to use Ryoby Bar and chain oil.

    It is good to get battery tools of the same brand so you can share battery's. I like the brushless battery tools. This looks like a good tool and the chain tension appears to be designed well. I like your chritmas tree setup

    I had a gas powered saw with that tensioning set up. It was my Dad's and I still have it but the tensioner broke and parts not available. I figure there was a reason to stop making them. I'm surprised to see it make a "comeback" but maybe with less power on the electric saw it will hold up. I'd certainly like to add an electric saw to the arsenal for small jobs and limbing. Looks like a nice saw for you needs to trim up the Christmas trees.

    The Kobalt should work great around the farm Brad.

    Thanks.
    As with most Kobalt battery equipment the setup is lacking.

    Looks like a perfect limbing , small purpose chainsaw Brad! Just curious if a battery lasts longer than a tank of gas, do you know?

      It does not, but you can get maybe 20 -30 mins of near constant use on a 4ah in my experience.

    Some people might wish that they hand 3 hands, especially when it comes to installing the chain on this model Kobalt chainsaw

    What kind of oil do you use?

    • @nelsonridgefarm
      @nelsonridgefarm  ปีที่แล้ว

      The cheapest bar & chain oil Lowe’s has. Can’t remember name, but in a white jug.
