Thanks for the video. I was wondering how deep you would be able to make the slot with the router. By the way, which model is it? Thanks again.

Thanks for sharing this. Good to have the knowledge of cutting the slot smaller parts at a time. Where did you pick up the guide? Is that for the specific router you have or is it universal? TY!

Salad the guide actually came with the router when I bought it 👍

I have a ryobi fixed based router. Is that a universal attachement or how would I do this using that tool?

Hello 👋Great Video 👍 Do you ever cut the slot a small distance in from the sides so that you can’t see it once the door is in place? Or do you find that that is unnecessary with the stops in the barn door hardware?

Handymom thank you!! I haven’t done that yet but definitely could and hide that slot on the bottom of the door. Would have to make sure the door is a little wider since it will reduce how far it can move right and left

Hmmm... I finally followed Ann's advice and took Woodglut. It's great for beginners and has some advanced stuff too.

I don’t want to assume how experienced you are but you should always start tools like that before putting them to the material. It could kick back if the bit is already in contact with the wood before turning it on.
