This is probably the most disturbing scam call that I've heard. He truly believed that he was talking to an elderly woman who only had enough money for her medication, but was willing to steal her money anyway. These people are the lowest of the low.
I was scammed and didn't realize it because I had never been scammed before. The guy was completely fine with the thought of me basically being homeless, as he stole the money I was saving to get into an apartment. I even told him this. Some scammers are pieces of shit who don't deserve to live.

I was raised by my grandparents. Whenever I hear these scammers talking to an old woman like that it really pisses me off. He doesn't know he's talking to a young man, he thinks he is talking to an old woman, and he has the audacity to yell and make threats to try and intimidate her. How these people live with themselves is beyond me.
That's just what I was thinking. I worked with the elderly for 10 years in different care facilities in different states. I can only imagine how scared a real little old lady would be. 😡
I'm a senior and used to receive these call on a regular basis. So i went online and found a site that generates fake social security numbers. I used that to bait the scammers and used a fake visa card number [ all vise cards begin with 4 ]. They were furious when the figured out i was onto them. I called the same number back 20 times. They blocked my number and i changed my phone to not show my number and continued calling them. Eventually they blocked all unidentified incoming calls. They never called again. They must have communication with other scammers because the volume of scam calls went from 2 or 3 a day to 2 or 3 month. Harass the hell out of them and they will quit calling.
I had one of these scammers call me and say "You have a warrant for your arrest. The police are coming to your house today." I said, "Thanks for the heads up, I'm in Mexico. No reason to come back today then." He said, "You're lying to me." I said, "You started it."
I had a scammer call me from a Texas number (that’s where my phones area code is from but i don’t live in Texas anymore), and they tried to say the warranty on my car expired (my car is almost 3 decades old so of course any warranty it may have had would be expired). I’ve had 3 cars so I asked what the brand was, they got lucky by guessing Toyota (I’ve had a Ford and Chevy before). But then I asked what company they worked for and they couldn’t say a specific company. So then, I asked where they’re calling from and they said California so I said “hmmm that’s interesting cause you’re calling me from a Texas number.” They hung up instantly.
What's better is that most of these scammers stay up all night because of the time difference and wasting 2 hours of his when he only has 8 hours to operate is funny
Idea: Do granny having a heart attack. Beg the scammer to call an ambulance. Get a friend to pretend he's an EMT, and than have the EMT get on the phone and tell the scammer he just killed granny. Then take down his credentials, and issue a sudo arrest warrant stating he's "wanted for 2nd degree murder".
As good of an idea this is, I honestly think it wouldnt phase the scammer. Remember, they were born without hearts or souls. This would only work on someone with a conscience.

I'm not familiar with how these things work, how possible would it be to tie up their phonelines by constantly calling them and harrassing them? Like if you got a group of friends and took turns calling the same number over and over again tying them up with BS as long as possible, you've got to think that'll wear down specific operators at least.
Be N S O N A good idea but only on paper. You’d have to do it daily, and there are so so SO many scamming operations out there that it’s just impossible. The best thing you can do (besides supporting Kitboga’s videos) is alert any and all elderly people you know to be suspicious of these calls. Teach them to recognize the signs of a scam. The IRS doesn’t call you, give you a day’s time limit, or tell you you’re going to jail. The more awareness there is, the more likely the scammers will have to find money elsewhere.
@@Colddirector I was kind of thinking the same thing. Could you imagine if Kitboga got a TON of his subscribers to take part. Everyone would need to download some app that creates new numbers for you, so they couldn't keep blocking them. You can't just do it for a few hours or even a few days. It's gotta be just a constant barrage for a few months to really drive the message home. I feel like it would take all of his subscribers rotating shifts to make an impact. Or just get the old robo-dialer that Homer Simpson used that somehow got stuck on Ned Flander's number.

Hearing him makes you want to kill this scumbag. She was scared as can be, but Jim fortunately managed to shut down the computer.

I worked at an assisted living facility as just a dishwasher and offered to teach a computer security class for the residents. They all definitely learned to be more careful and even admitted they had received calls like that before. I played an example from TH-cam and let them know if they knew I was working that day and they got a call, to come get me.

I couldn't agree more. I listened to this while I was busy with something else, so it genuinely seemed like an old lady. It was heartbreaking to hear and by the end I was filled with anger.
They are not in dire financial situations. None of them. That's a myth that I'm sick of hearing. These people aren't like the characters of Slumdog Millionaire that wear trash bags or are begging in the streets. They're just middle class or rich scu mbags.
I work for a retailer that sells gift cards and I put an end to a lot of these but it’s nice to have an inside view on what they’re going through so I can better comfort the customer

A friend of mine received one of these calls and was highly distressed after receiving it. Even though I told her it was a fraud, I had to ring the Taxation Office on her behalf to verify it was fraudulent, just to calm her down. These people are evil.
Personal anecdotes: 1 - I got a call a few years back from an American woman, no hint of foreign accent, very sweet. She said that I owed State of Illinois $400 in taxes, and she is with a debt collection agency. I asked her to please mail me the debt form. She said she can't do that, and I should pay over the phone with a credit card, otherwise penalties will accrue. I told her thank you for the information, and I'll follow up directly with State of Illinois. I hung up, and the state tax line. After the typical wait, they told me that I didn't owe anything, and they never use debt collection agencies. Don't think all scammer are Indian or Nigerian, or male. 2 - My mother who is in her 70s got a call from a scammer saying she owed money, I think it was for past telephone bills, and please provide her credit card number to pay the debt. She told me about it, said she hung up on them, and told me that she would never give a credit card number to an unsolicited call. She wasn't sure if was real or not, but would not take the chance. Made my day.
Good for your mom! And yes, not all scammers are Nigerian, Russian, or Indian. It’s just most of them are, lol. I would say from my experience with baiting that they all tend to specialize in different types of scams. Nigerians are well known for 419 or advanced fee fraud and romance scams. Russians run sophisticated romance scams. Indians run the IRS, Microsoft, etc, scams that Kit handles. The Senegalese are super lazy and run lots of refugee adoption scams although a lot of those guys are from Nigeria or Benin too. They have super long scripts and really hate going off script. Then you have the anybody scammer who can be anybody, anywhere. Even a neighbor. Social media and the internet has made scamming very easy for them. They will do just about anything. That’s why the rules to follow are “if it sounds too good to be true it very likely is” and “no company or government agency is going to threaten you over the phone, email, or social media, and accept payment to go away.”
All the "pay us over the phone and it's gonna be cheaper" threats always seemed weird to me. In all my experience with government agencies, they'll try to squeeze out every single penny they can get. If they can get more money, they'll always choose that option, so I'd never believe such an "offer". But then again, we've been raised to be aware of scams, so hopefully the whole scam business will be dead by the time the "children of the internet" grow up to be cool cyborg grandparents or whatever's gonna happen in like 50 years.
These scammers are the lowest forms of life, so low I can't even call them human. He has no remorse or respect for an elderly lady, trying to take all her money. I do hope karma catches up with them all, especially this dirtbag.

I was raised by my grandparents. Whenever I hear these scammers talking to an old woman like that it really pisses me off. He doesn't know he's talking to a young man, he thinks he is talking to an old woman, and he has the audacity to yell and make threats to try and intimidate her. How these people live with themselves is beyond me.
That's just what I was thinking. I worked with the elderly for 10 years in different care facilities in different states. I can only imagine how scared a real little old lady would be. 😡
I'm a senior and used to receive these call on a regular basis. So i went online and found a site that generates fake social security numbers. I used that to bait the scammers and used a fake visa card number [ all vise cards begin with 4 ]. They were furious when the figured out i was onto them. I called the same number back 20 times. They blocked my number and i changed my phone to not show my number and continued calling them. Eventually they blocked all unidentified incoming calls. They never called again. They must have communication with other scammers because the volume of scam calls went from 2 or 3 a day to 2 or 3 month. Harass the hell out of them and they will quit calling.

I had a scammer call me from a Texas number (that’s where my phones area code is from but i don’t live in Texas anymore), and they tried to say the warranty on my car expired (my car is almost 3 decades old so of course any warranty it may have had would be expired). I’ve had 3 cars so I asked what the brand was, they got lucky by guessing Toyota (I’ve had a Ford and Chevy before). But then I asked what company they worked for and they couldn’t say a specific company. So then, I asked where they’re calling from and they said California so I said “hmmm that’s interesting cause you’re calling me from a Texas number.” They hung up instantly.
This scammer makes me sick and I am so angry. Thank you Kitboga for wasting his time.

Idea: Do granny having a heart attack. Beg the scammer to call an ambulance. Get a friend to pretend he's an EMT, and than have the EMT get on the phone and tell the scammer he just killed granny. Then take down his credentials, and issue a sudo arrest warrant stating he's "wanted for 2nd degree murder".

I'm not familiar with how these things work, how possible would it be to tie up their phonelines by constantly calling them and harrassing them?
Like if you got a group of friends and took turns calling the same number over and over again tying them up with BS as long as possible, you've got to think that'll wear down specific operators at least.
Be N S O N A good idea but only on paper. You’d have to do it daily, and there are so so SO many scamming operations out there that it’s just impossible. The best thing you can do (besides supporting Kitboga’s videos) is alert any and all elderly people you know to be suspicious of these calls. Teach them to recognize the signs of a scam. The IRS doesn’t call you, give you a day’s time limit, or tell you you’re going to jail. The more awareness there is, the more likely the scammers will have to find money elsewhere.
@@Colddirector I was kind of thinking the same thing. Could you imagine if Kitboga got a TON of his subscribers to take part. Everyone would need to download some app that creates new numbers for you, so they couldn't keep blocking them.
You can't just do it for a few hours or even a few days. It's gotta be just a constant barrage for a few months to really drive the message home. I feel like it would take all of his subscribers rotating shifts to make an impact.

I worked at an assisted living facility as just a dishwasher and offered to teach a computer security class for the residents. They all definitely learned to be more careful and even admitted they had received calls like that before. I played an example from TH-cam and let them know if they knew I was working that day and they got a call, to come get me.

Usually I lmfao at these, but this one has me mostly angry. I can’t imagine ever being in such dire financial trouble that I would take advantage of elderly folks and steal from them. How could anyone live with themselves after acting this way? Kit idk how you keep your cool and don’t lose it listening to these scumbags. I couldn't agree more. I listened to this while I was busy with something else, so it genuinely seemed like an old lady. It was heartbreaking to hear and by the end I was filled with anger.
Dude they think all Americans are rich and fat and they deserve to be robbed, that's their mentality.
They are not in dire financial situations. None of them. That's a myth that I'm sick of hearing. These people aren't like the characters of Slumdog Millionaire that wear trash bags or are begging in the streets. They're just middle class or rich scu mbags.
I work for a retailer that sells gift cards and I put an end to a lot of these but it’s nice to have an inside view on what they’re going through so I can better comfort the customer

Yeah....so if she went without her meds and it was something really important like blood pressure medication or heart medication, she could die without it! But all he cared about was getting the money. He wouldn't have cared AT ALL if she ended up dying as a result. Just as long as he got his money, right? Ugh it's just sick. 1) Most scammers actually live in the Unites States.

A friend of mine received one of these calls and was highly distressed after receiving it. Even though I told her it was a fraud, I had to ring the Taxation Office on her behalf to verify it was fraudulent, just to calm her down. These people are evil.
Personal anecdotes:
1 - I got a call a few years back from an American woman, no hint of foreign accent, very sweet. She said that I owed State of Illinois $400 in taxes, and she is with a debt collection agency. I asked her to please mail me the debt form. She said she can't do that, and I should pay over the phone with a credit card, otherwise penalties will accrue. I told her thank you for the information, and I'll follow up directly with State of Illinois. I hung up, and the state tax line. After the typical wait, they told me that I didn't owe anything, and they never use debt collection agencies. Don't think all scammer are Indian or Nigerian, or male.
2 - My mother who is in her 70s got a call from a scammer saying she owed money, I think it was for past telephone bills, and please provide her credit card number to pay the debt. She told me about it, said she hung up on them, and told me that she would never give a credit card number to an unsolicited call. She wasn't sure if was real or not, but would not take the chance. Made my day.

Good for your mom! And yes, not all scammers are Nigerian, Russian, or Indian. It’s just most of them are, lol. I would say from my experience with baiting that they all tend to specialize in different types of scams. Nigerians are well known for 419 or advanced fee fraud and romance scams. Russians run sophisticated romance scams. Indians run the IRS, Microsoft, etc, scams that Kit handles. The Senegalese are super lazy and run lots of refugee adoption scams although a lot of those guys are from Nigeria or Benin too. They have super long scripts and really hate going off script. Then you have the anybody scammer who can be anybody, anywhere. Even a neighbor. Social media and the internet has made scamming very easy for them. They will do just about anything. That’s why the rules to follow are “if it sounds too good to be true it very likely is” and “no company or government agency is going to threaten you over the phone, email, or social media, and accept payment to go away.”

All the "pay us over the phone and it's gonna be cheaper" threats always seemed weird to me.
In all my experience with government agencies, they'll try to squeeze out every single penny they can get. If they can get more money, they'll always choose that option, so I'd never believe such an "offer".
But then again, we've been raised to be aware of scams, so hopefully the whole scam business will be dead by the time the "children of the internet" grow up to be cool cyborg grandparents or whatever's gonna happen in like 50 years.

The whole section starting from the swimsuit area and the Olive Garden bit really had me rolling. I’ve listened through that whole section like 10 times now. This guy is AMAZING when it comes to flustering these scammer idiots.
I loved the storytelling aspect and how the Olive Garden option and monologue came full circle and had a completed arc and conclusion.
