    Toured the museum several years ago. Obviously a lot has changed and been added. Time for another visit! To anyone even remotely interested - make the time, it is well worth it!

    Many of the arms look like genuine antiques but the mannequins are primarily costume grade junk. This guy is quite the enthusiast!

    My Grandfather was a Revolutionary War Re-enactor . 4th Artillery Continental Army. Spent many of Summers at Forts from Ticonderoga too Fort York in Toronto were we would Do Huge Battles with 100s thru 1000s of Us doing Displays of The Artillery used them. From Forced Marches in 100deg heat In All Period Clothes (mostly Wool and Leather) to Pulling a 8lb Solid Brass Cannon By Manpower Every Year At the Local Parade where His Cannon would Sound To Start the Parade for upwards of 30years. I was a GoFor then Once I learned The Marches and Cadence I became a Powder Boy Bringing the Powder Charge to The Loader To Load Into the Cannons Breach. This was late 80s-90s then My Younger Cousins Did the same into the 2000s when Grandpa Started to Lose a Step. His Cannon Is on Lone to the Smithsonian Now and Most of all his Revolutionary Flintlock muskets are still in Use with His Friends who still Go around and TEACH kids about The Forgotten wars. Every time I see your Enthusiasm I see My Grandpa Chuck , and I’m in my 40s now I still have friends from Elementary 1980s Tell me to this Day How My Grandpa Bringing GUNS INTO MY SCHOOL DISTRICT And teaching them About The Weapons and The Wars They were used In. Your The Last Of A Dying Breed DRAGON MAN and thankyou for educating So Many Ppl

    $20 for a 2 hour tour of this collection is fucking insane. I have no other reason to go to Colorado other than to make it out here. As much as I’d want to visit the shooting range and motorcross track, as those are my other 2 favorite things in the world, cool history shit is a little bit more rare and important to me lol

    john wilkes booth, ,,, according to the internet the Indians used 6-8 different type rifles at little big horn..was the bayonet on the french rifle used to hold up the white flag?

    I thought the natives had Winchesters during the Last Stand. Oh well they were STILL leagues ahead of the US Army. Really sick that back then any soldier (YES Custer was an asshole) would be issued an inferior rifle

      I believe I am correct in saying that the actor (and activist) Russell Means always referred to himself as ‘an Indian’. This was because he was never comfortable referring to himself as a ‘Native American’ and also because the term ‘Indian’ was a constant reminder that, from the very beginning, White European settlers didn’t understand, or much care about, Native American culture.
