Michael! Thank you for this. IKWDLS is one of my favorite slasher films too. I watched this movie in 1998, I was 8 yo. I know, I didn't have to because of my age, but I used to be uncontrollable. I am 29 currently and still love this movie. I am from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Southport is one of my tourist destinations.

@@OperationAdventure I didn't but I'll check as soon as possible. I cant judge Karla and Julie, if I were not brazilian probably I would think Rio de Janeiro is the capital because of the fame hahahaha. I bet there are some countries we think we know its capital because its fame. But I know it was part of the plot, even though I was so young when I watched the sequel I knew it was a Fisherman's trap. God! I really love this movie franchise.
This town is beautiful, it would be my dream to live here. Are these locations within walking distance to each other or something you would have to drive around to?
Sarah stole the entire movie. She easily had all the best parts with the killer. Her chase scene is the greatest in slasher history yet, in my opinion.
Helen fought for her life even though she made the dumbest mistake of looking back when the coast was clear but even when she was being killed she was fighting back I read Helen was suppose to live but it wouldn't been fair for the fishermen to get his revenge on 1 out of 4 of them so Helen was killed wish it was Julie all she did was scream in both films.
Loved this movie!!! Really enjoy seeing the real life locations.

Both Southport & Burgaw, NC are absolutely gorgeous; however, they are about an hours drive from one another depending on traffic.
