  • In this video, we explain how you can transfer textures from one model to another using the "Texture Reprojection Tool".
    This is a powerful tool giving much faster results than regular texturing in RC.
    The tool also has the option to create both Normal and Displacement maps on a simplified model to fake the detail from the surface of very High poly models.

    It will be great to see a tutorial, where you show how to reproject texture after importing a cleaned model from a third-party program for reprojection texture, as you say at the end of this video!

      Hi, it is basically the same. You need to import corrected model into project, when was created an original one (need to use the same rcInfo file for this modified model with a correct name), unwrap it and then just reproject the texture

      @syntaxcg ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CapturingReality does the rcinfo file matter so much? I always have a warning about it, I don't mine and I never have any problem. What is the purpose of this rcinfo file?

    • @CapturingReality
      @CapturingReality  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@syntaxcg Yes, it does, as there is saved the position and another info of the model that it can be imported back into RealityCapture to the same spot with same size and rotations.

    Maximal texture count set to two creates, depending on the model, an average quality that could be very low. Setting unwrap to optimal texel size with a gutter of 1 (or more) if you don't aim to downsize the texture later, brings better details when exported into a single texture.
    By the way, a tutorial about getting the best of a single texture would be very appreciated, as I personnaly spent lot of time before finding good configuration, could be useful for many people :)

    How can I import my new mesh with a new retopology from my high poly and project the textures?
    When i try to import my low poly model, the software says i need to rewrite the UVS of my low poly, i put no,
    but in the part of source model and target model on (on texture reprojection) , I don't know how to identify my models, becaouse only says the number of the model and i have no idea

      Hi Enrique, which version of RC do you have? Also, the last model in 1Ds view is the imported one.

      It is a tutorial for someone, who didn't use RealityCapture before or for some newcomers. The tutorial doesn't have to be just about new stuff.
