It know his powers are more like Geligamesh's, I played the original VN after all, so I noticed this the first time I saw IS. But, you can't deny, his appearance closely resembles Archer, Clad in red armor, his stance, the fact that he's a Knight and other similarities is what lead people to make the comparison. Personally, I like to think his concept was inspired by both of them.
