The Biden-Harris Administration Celebrates Historic Actions to Advance Data Equity

On May 28, 2024, the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI) and the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) hosted a special virtual briefing with Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) leaders to discuss the Biden-Harris Administration's historic actions to advance data equity.
In March 2024, OMB revised the Standards for Maintaining, Collecting, and Presenting Federal Data on Race and Ethnicity for the first time in 27 years, helping ensure that AA and NHPI individuals can more fully self-identify by specific ethnicity. Read all updates at spd15revision.gov.
