Plants free of water deficit events more efficiently absorb available plant nutrients enabling plants to achieve their maximum genetic potential. SWRT membranes installed below plant root systems retain water where it falls, providing continuous delivery of
drought-free periods up to 3 times longer than intensely irrigated control sands without root zone water retention membranes (Guber et al, 2016).

I quess this is only for ketchup and canned tomatos, but looks still pretty damn good

What isn't seen in the video are the rotten tomatoes that need to be removed. The mice, the snakes, and spiders.etc. Sometimes weather conditions cause something called Blossom End Rot, those all have to be removed. The type of tomato is completely different than what you might grow in a home garden for salads. It's a paste type, they're rather dry. Pretty boring for eating out of hand, sorta like grocery store tomatoes are, bland and flavorless.

Skme of the harvesters look like they're picking up Roma tomatoes. Standard Roma.
The machines that sort are perhaps as amazing as the machines that pick.

In Ohio we harvest tomatoes like this in the fall. Another round of harvesting would be in the winter . . . . the tomatoes would be rotten . . .

      *@Warwagon*
This is a _determinate_ variety. It means the plant puts all of its strength into the fruit at once and all the tomatoes come off the vine together.
An _indeterminate_ variety would yield a few fruits at a time over a long period.

In any efficient harvest operation, anything that's not crop is left on the ground. Maintaining organic matter levels in the soil is important.
