Bryz had an injured foot issue that was really bad that night. He admitted it after the game, that's the only reason it was THAT bad. What a great series though, With Jagr and Talbot being big factors and Giroux just dominating all over the ice and Crosy and Malkin looking like pure thugs with no talent.

That 2012 series was one of the greatest I've ever seen and I don't say that just because the Flyers won. It was just perfect. Plenty of goals, plenty of hits, plenty of fights. The Flyers and Penguins have one of the finest rivalries in sports. There's not that many rivalries that have the same level of hatred, intensity and passion quite like this one...

If you only count Cups, it's Penguins 5, Flyers 2.
If you factor division and conference titles, head-to-head, and strength of Cup Finals opponents, it's:
_Division Titles:_ Flyers 16, Penguins 8
_Conference Titles:_ Flyers 8, Penguins 6
_Head-to-Head:_ Flyers lead in regular season (157-04-30-11) and playoff series (4-3).
_Strength of Cup Finals Opponents:_ In the three seasons before/after their Finals appearances, the Flyers' 8 Finals opponents won 17 Cups and lost 3; the Penguins' 6 Finals opponents won 1 Cup and lost 1.

Jonathan Qualter that was the game when Radko goofball Gudas single handily gave the Pittsburgh Penguins the comeback and win, with Gudas making egregious turnovers in his own defensive end that lead to direct penguin goals late in the game - The Flyers had control of that game until Gudas decided otherwise. Pittsburgh has more Cups than we do but one thing that can be said about us Flyers fans is that we never quit on the team and have always supported them. They were a dumpster fire in the early 90s and were frustrating mediocrity for the majority of 2010s and yet the fans have always showed up and caused chaos. The same can't be said for Pens fans in the first 15 years of their existence and in the early 2000s. You're lucky that Mario was a phenomenal player and an even more phenomenal person or else your team would be long gone.

That 2012 Series really angered me, that and Briere's clearly offside goal to make it 3-2 in Game 1. I was watching that game in a bar on a tiny TV in the corner, and I saw it. Everybody watching at home saw it. I can't see how a pro Linesmen in the arena misses that! I feel that if that goal got called back, the Pens win Game 1 and that series. But Game 2 and 3 they went out and laid complete eggs, and I've never seen a professional team collectively lose their minds like the Pens did in Game 3. Then they come out in Game 4 where the 10-3 score makes the game sound close. The Pens were clearly the superior team and they let the Flyers force them out of their game. 2012 was just a wasted year for the Pens where if they make it out of that round, there's a good chance that they win the Cup!

Oh yes Tim Kerr just killed Pittsburgh in his career. He was Unstoppable. Pens defense could not match up with him well

@@Mitchell89Iozzi Its still even more of a toss up with the pandemic. We don't know whose going to win considering there haven't been games. They may be healthy but when were the last time some of these guys were on the ice? Jake Guentzel isn't going to come all ready to play unless they have a week or two of practices before the playoffs.

All I remember is Hartnell fighting some clowns and James Neal (being the douchebag he is) going around elbowing people in the head, not to mention the other cheap shots he took.

If I may be so bold, had Danny Briere been correctly called offsides, Pens win in 4 games.
