Hey Ryan, the algorithm rewarded me with this video. First time viewer and now subscribed. I'm from DC and live not too far from where you parked. Parking is restricted in many areas during rush hour for busses. Morning and evening. They have priority in the lanes beside sidewalks for stops. Hope you enjoyed the visit and the walk around the Mall.
Hi Ryan, good to see you again. Happy New Years. I think if you add additional footage (like 5-10 sec clips) showing the scenery whether that’s countryside landscapes/city monuments/sunsets, etc., it would make your videos stand out even more. Thanks for another great video.
I agree about people. The wilderness in your van: safe. The city in your van: target. You reminded me of something my Mom told me when I was little. "CJ you don't have to worry about ghosts! It's the living you have to watch out for."
I work in DC on Independence Ave. The reason you can’t park on the street in the morning and afternoon has to do with traffic congestion for those driving to DC for work. Each afternoon, tow trucks wait for the magic hour and will tow.
9:20 wow! What a great spot in DC!! Can’t wait to visit there myself! And we are also loving the new parking meters in big cities that allow you to park anywhere and take as much room as your vehicle needs. We have a 170 extended Sprinter so we need a lot of parking space LOL
With you going from Florida to Alaska you should certainly check out some nice places in Canada. I moved from Alberta to Vancouver island and I tell you the west coast (Pacific Northwest) in general is next level and would be sweet watching you explore it with the van. Look into some of the cool places while on your way north, safe travels man!
Hey Ryan I'm glad you posted I was really worried about you.Today's video was definitely a 10/10 and my favourite part as always is you filling up the water tank it's so satisfying! Hope your girlfriend is also doing good you should include her in another video ❤. Stay Safe Ryan ❤ -Jason
I do enjoy watching you visit a grocery store. The ones we have here in the Phoenix area or at least, the ones I visit, are so lacking to be in a major city. The ones you visit across the country seem to have everything plus so much more. If we had more like what you have, it would make all the difference in the world. You mentioned that your viewers are indicating their concern for your safety camping out as you do. I have mentioned this as well and so far so good but it only takes one misstep and we might never see you again. So many people go missing in the mountains for whatever reason and though I am sure you take every precaution to stay safe, always have a backup plan. There is one TH-camr that makes it a point to go to dangerous areas on his travels and really puts forth an effort to do so and many of his viewers warn him repeatedly, and though you are not like that, please don't take chances that could backfire on you as I and others feel it will him. I am just afraid of reading someday where he has been found naked, tortured to death! Take care and have a great day!
Dude as a Federal Employee who lives in the DMV you have motivated me into realizing this shit aint it!!!!! and I just want to live my life by noones standards. Thank you
I was so happy to see a notification today. There is something about your video's I really enjoy watching. Dinner looked yummy. Looking forward to the next video.
Scoot down a few blocks over to federal center southwest and plenty of nice spots to park or stealth camp overnight. If things get really desperate, Marriott is right around the corner and holiday inn is one block over with FEMA. Cheers!!!!
I use to live in a Van before and you can get away with parking in apartment complex before they started the visitor pass.I had a RV and those are hard to hide or park anywhere without someone suspecting living in it.A van is more better or even a small box truck.Trailer homes are noticable.
Those are the rush-hour parking restrictions & DC will tow on that stretch of 7th street. I use to work a block away, and frequent Penn Quarter Sports Tavern. Unfortunately, the years of Covid decimated that bar and surrounding restaurants. At 7am, you could have just moved literally about 50 yards to the left & onto the national mall for a few more hours zzzzz's. I speak from experience, I spent many days hiding out & sleeping in my Odyssey, but still within range of my two-way radio if work was looking for me. 😀
On your trip going down to Florida I’m assuming you’re going to pass through North Carolina & I strongly recommend driving through Wilmington North Carolina on your way to Florida it’s my hometown & the beach (specifically Wrightsville beach) is beautiful but also you should check out Carolina beach state park or Fort Fisher if you want.
Nice to see a video again I must just tell you I have seen a lot of different van builders and they are very nice but your van looks like a real home and you have inspired me to look into buliding my own van south Africa not very big on van life but I want to try I think it would be great 👍🏻
Congrats on the awesome stealth camping spot! What a great view of the monument at the end. That recipe looks amazing. Will absolutely be trying more elevated ramen, stir fry and curry dishes this year. All about mixing it up with simple ingredients and I have also found some amazing recipes on TikTok. Excited for more :)
I’m always really skeptical when I see new vanlife channels I’ve never seen before. Like: “another one of these? Alright… let’s see what this one’s got in store”. I think that’s because I got my array of vanlife channels I really like and stick to those. But I gotta say, this channel just flew up to the top of my list. Really cool vanbuild and awesome video.
I've tried top Ramon with big shrimps before and it top notch meal to eat. When I was a teen I use to have Roman mixed with left over taco meat and add hot sauce to it and it was the best meal I ate and kept eating.
What say it isn’t so! Like one of the other comments I look everyday for new content from you. I do watch a few favorites, but whay a new lone. Yeah. Hoping maybe you consider a type of meet and greet. I live above Baltimore. Loving this tour in DC.
Hello ryan! I been watching your videos for months now. Happy new year to you! I enjoy watching you going around unite states and live in your van. I do recommend for you to buy a instant pots whenever you cook anything with soup. It will be helpful to you and less messy too.
Just found your channel dawg and let me say Ive watched like 40 of your videos already. You are an absolute natural at this. Sending you all the support from MD!
I work for the DOT/FAA and even though I live in Oklahoma, I have been to the two FAA HQ buildings (10A and 10B) along with the office at L'Enfant Plaza many, many times and it was fun to see all three buildings make an appearance in your video. Every time I am in DC at the FAA HQ I enjoy having lunch at the food trucks (which were missing for two years but appear to have made a comeback based on your video). That was a pretty exciting stealth camping spot. Looking forward to your upcoming SE to NW road trip coming up! If your route will take you back through Oklahoma hit me up for free and safe parking locations. Now I gotta go make me some shrimp Ramen!
I was at that caps game and was walking the national mall earlier that day! Funny enough up visiting from Florida for new years and started watching your videos a month ago. You should check out St. Pete FL when you swing down, some great camp spots by the peir with a killer view
Ihave done that before, but I parked right across from the american history museun,in case you want to park safe you can park at the union station,I think is on the top floor.they offer park for class b rvs.
You need to be out of that spot by 0700 and again at 1600 (4pm) because they open the parking “lane” up for traffic during rush hour to try to keep log jams down to a minimum. Shortly before they 🎉open the parking lane to vehicle traffic, the cops roll up to open the lane before traffic starts jamming up. If they come up and cars are parked in that lane, they get cranky and write a ticket. I misread the afternoon hours a couple of months ago and came back to a ticket on my vehicle. Oops! I got a couple of angry honks from the commuters because I was sitting in the middle of the fast lane. Just FYI because you didn’t know why you needed to move the van by 0700.
Did you notice you were overcharged for the bulgogi sauce? The sticker said $7.49 but it rang up $8.19. What’s in that stuff anyway, gold flecks? Why so pricey? Love these stealth camping videos!
I did an internship at the DACOR Bacon house last summer it’s a cool little historical home with amazing history. You should definitely check it out next time you’re in DC. Also you’re great at COD man bout to play first game of bo6😂
Nice video. Man Ramen couldn't have looked any better.have you thought of putting cameras around outside and a couple of screens so when you open door and are cooking you can see who is around you?. Stay safe and happy you finally uploaded.
Hey when you are playing COD , 2 questions do you tether to your Xbox? Or do you just simply play via wireless hotspot from your phone? 2: do you lag while playing COD ? Is there any serious latency where you are at a disadvantage? Like “””40ms/100 ping “”” much appreciated
Love the videos! Do you have any video on your van build? Curious if you built all the cabinetry or if it was a kit or pre made cabinetry set you made work?
Hey Ryan...are you going to the VanLife campout near Dade City at the beginning of February? If so, I will see you there! If a guy comes up to you with his own camera saying..."Hey, I am Mesa Mike, from the Road Patriot VanLife"...well that is me! Happy trails!
I felt alive again when that notification popped up. Then I saw it is 23 minutes long and almost fainted. Felt like Christmas as a child.
😂😂 appreciate you homie. I think this is my longest video ever

Always cool seeing places I drive through regularly from a different perspective! Cheers from another DMV resident!
Yesssss, aaaannnndddd we are back on the road! So glad these videos are back!
I got used to your daily uploads prior to last year's holidays, and this made me feel like I have been waiting for this one for years. 🤣
So down to earth and easy to watch. Thanks for your videos Ryan.

I concur. I was in DC and it was very warm (and crowded with tourists)
This van is amazing. The use of space is great and living space neat and tidy. Great set up, bro.
Great to see you back! Fun going along on your travels.
Hello I’ve been living your vids recently I have just discovered your channel, one of the best and neatest van builds I’ve seen
absolutely love this video and the editing you did with the tower sorry i’m not sure what that’s called but danggggg i loved it 😊😊

Hey Ryan,
How much on an average do you spend per month living in your van? Including gas and everything?
I kid you not I have spent the whole weekend binge watching all your videos. TH-cam recommended you to me yesterday and have been hooked 😀
Always funny seeing my clients products being used in everyday videos , big fan of the content

Hey man thanks for sharing and try the ramen recipe! Glad you loved it!
Hey man, one way you can reheat food without the microwave is a thermal bag and just boil it. Saves space and you don't risk burning the food
Hi Ryan 👋🏾 I rarely comment. BUT..I love the ceiling in your van. It's super dope! Safe travels 🙏🏽
I'm glad ur back making videos b safe on ur road trip
Ryan, I need this recipe. Love seeing you living the low-fi/low key roadlife..

Early morning parking restriction is for rush hour traffic. Pretty common in dc area streets. Similar restriction for afternoon rush hour
Glad to finally see an upload! Keep it up dude!

Inside of that van looks better than most inside apartments.I would live in that.

Here we go!
