If Holy Stone doesn't immediately hire this guy as a beta tester and instructor, they are missing a great opportunity. The best instructional video I've seen in a very long time. Thanks much. Now I'm going to maybe not crash my new drone into the nearest tree?!?

I'm 62 years old and retired from 2 Fed Gov. jobs. Drones are one of my 'new' hobbies. I've had a HS120D and an HS270 for about 2 years. I still consider myself an 'average' drone guy. I've had a DJI Air2S for about 8 months. I'm sure everyone is aware that there is a TON of TH-cam videos and Facebook groups that are very informative, especially for the 'new guys', some are very technical and others are not. Of ALL the videos I've viewed for beginners, no single video matches YOUR video for simple and UNDERSTANDABLE instruction and education, and simply how to IN LAYMAN'S terms fly a damn drone properly and safely. AMAZING 'new guy' video......Congrats! Every new 'droner' should view this video, regardless of the make and model they own.

Thank you so much for this, just had my first accident with my HD120D. You'd think I'd remember that it returns to its original point of origin when you hit return home, but no, I forgot, the drone whipped into reverse and flew right into a tree. Lost two propellers, they've been replaced, and I'm now flying "responsibly." Thank you for taking the time to create this and providing fantastic detail!

I just bought one of these by chance from one of my neighbors. He told me that he had no Idea on how to get started with it, and was afraid he would break it on his first flight. I'm an experienced R/C pilot having flown many types including glow powered R/C Helicopters. But, this is my very first drone. This video has been immensely helpful to me on getting acclimated with the controls and how they function. The lingo is a bit different from the R/C world that I was used to and so is the concept of flying it. I'm Glad you took the time to cover everything I needed to get started with it in one single video. After playing with the controls while watching this video, and getting used to it. I just made my very first flight with it, everything went very well without a hitch. Thanks a bunch.

I'm first drone, pre-purchase mode. I've researched and settled upon this drone for my first one. I've watched most of the videos for it. NOTHING compares to what is discussed, shown, demonstrated in this amazing how-to video. I've never seen a video on TH-cam that is as detailed, complete and accurate as this one. Drone flying cannot be as easy as the pro's make it look, and that is well-demonstrated here. This will be my bible for operating my new drone. THANK YOU!!!

      My Pleasure !
I did tech support, created User tutorials with step by step illustrations as needed,
for applications and hardware. And Downtime procedures as well....
....At least until the freaking pestilence hit and the hospital system I worked for started handing out "alleged" Temporary furloughs then severenced most of those people.
But anyway....I can genuinely appreciate what it took for you to prepare for that.

Your video is amazing. I have this drone for over a year and could never understand all the features you presented in your video. I have already watched it twice and made myself a cheat sheet so I could remember it all. The last time I flew it about a year ago , after I took off the drone just took off and flew away. After hitting RTH button nothing happened. I was ion a very large field and after about an hour of searching, I found it in some tall grass. That ended me flying it.
I now feel much more confident, and can start flying again, and enjoy it !!

@@dontscrewitup Arrrrgh! Last question. Just had a DUH! moment. I actually have the HS100 (GPS) not the HS120. Looks identical though. I'm brand new at drones so do you suspect that most everything in the video also applies to the HS100? I only had it for a week or so and flew my hs100d in headless mode into a bush. As I got up to it I saw that one motor wouldn't stop spinning even when I turned the drone and the controller off. I unplugged the battery, plugged it back and the one prop would start spinning again! Now all 3 props except that one spin, rendering it useless. I actually watched a video on taking it apart. Found a black wire on the faulty prop that has come undone from the motherboard. But for $100 it was a good learning experience as I work up the courage to fly the DJI FPV I bought almost 6 months ago! I just ordered another Holy Stone though for practice, but one with with the GPS, Return to Home etc.

After watching through the 3-C's I couldn't wait any longer and had to go out and fly it. First two flights no issues and then th e last one my daughter asked how far towards the hill could I go and when it got so I couldn't tell which way it was headed I ended up sticking it into a weeping willow tree. Taking pictures with the controller I get a beep but no pix. I had this same problem before, but I forgot how to fix it. It was fixed before. And no the video isn't running. Great video. It's great to use it as a refresher.

Sorry I don’t recall what causes that problem. I’ve seen it intermittently also. Can you take a photo by pressing the screen button on the app?

Amazing video! I watched start to finish. This was a great deep dive that answered all my questions. All the other videos I saw barely scratched the surface and the manual straight up sucks. Now I have some confidence with understanding how the thing functions.

Thank you. I appreciate the feedback. I recently retired after 30 years in business consulting. I spent a little over a week putting this video together. I was frustrated with the lack of documentation that came with the drone (especially for beginners) so I made the type of video that I wished I had found as I was trying to learn how to fly this drone. Thanks again.

Thank you Tom. A link to your video should be provided by default with every drone purchase! 💯🎯🏆
Just like you mentioned I also read the manual first. Being a beginner I hated the fact that the manual that came with this is red hot garbage & sucks so bad that when I purchased this same drone two years ago I felt so overwhelmed.
Sad to say but I do admit to unboxing it & never flying it once and have kept it in the case ever since.
Today is a new day though.😎 Taking notes and and will replay & revisit this game changing video!
Being a visual learner I appreciate you sir for all the illustrations in your video as well as you candor...much respect.☮️🎯💯 #strongwork 💪🏾
